Abstract

Social interaction is the base of the social process, or social process on society as a consequence of social interaction (social relationship form). The Village of Tangkahan Durian, West Berandan Subdistrict is one of the potential region for softcrab cultivation. The problems faced by the fish farmer is the lack of availability of crab seed than the cultivator necessity make the crab seed price becomes very expensive, otherwise the big industrialist (employers) dominate the crab seed then the small cultivator doesn’t get the crab seed on time. The relationship of fish farmer (client) with employers (patron) is hard to be separated because this relation is neccesary on both sides. The relationship of fish farmer with employers have negative and positive effect. Economic relationship are formed from economic activity include production input supplying and cultivating product marketing and financial loan. Social relationship was appear from interaction between the fish farmer and employers in financial loan, production input loan and cultivating product marketing. The fish farmer always give priority on the interaction when solve a problem directly or face to face. Personal relationship is a direct or intensif relations between the cultivators and employers, which cause the relations between the cultivators and employer are not only for the profit motives, as the other hard there are chemistry between fish farmer and employers. Keywords: Patron-Client, Economic Relationship, Social Relationship, Personal Relationship.

Abstract

Probiotic bacteria is a type of lactic acid bacteria (BAL) that produces compound of bacteriocin antimicrobial. Research to analyzed the bacteriocin of 5 probiotic bacterial from isolates tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon Fabricus). The bacteriocin product contained in 2 forms, that i.e. without precipitation (extract bacteriocin) and with precipitation (fragment bacteriocin) used ammonium sulfate (NH4)2SO4. Bacteriocin will be tested activity against pathogen bacterial that cause fish disease was is Vibrio alginolyticus, Aeromonas hydrophila and Pseudomonas stutzeri. Inhibitory activity test conducted using paper disc diffusion method. Inhibitory activity bacteriocin with precipitation showed inhibition was higher the biggest than without precipitation. Fragment bacteriocin (BC) with precipitation had inhibitory activity or AU (Activity Unit) i.e. 881,71 mm2/ml at UWH9 isolate toward bacteria test A. hydrophila and P. stutzeri. The biggest Inhibitory activity of extract bacteriocin (CR) without precipitation was 365,65mm2/ml at UWH10 isolate toward bacteria test P. stutzeri. Keywords: Bacteriocin, Pathogen bacterial, Precipitation, Inhibitory activity

Abstract

This study aimed to reduce levels of heavy metals contained in the body ofblood cockle (Anadara granosa) with acetic acid soaking method. The experimentaldesign used in this study is a randomized block design (RAK) with 4 levelstreatments, blood cockle without soaking, the addition of 5% acetic acid, 15% and25%. The highest reducing power contained in Pb with 25 % acetic acid soaking, theCu with 5 % acetic acid soaking, the metal Zn with 25 % acetic acid soaking and Cdmetal with 25 % acetic acid soaking. The highest organoleptic assessment containedin such a test is the 25 % acetic acid soaking (16.58), aroma aroma is in control(15.96) and the texture is in control (17.88) .Keyword : Power reduction, acetic acid , heavy metals , blood cockle

Abstract

An experiment to test of absorption and sinking speed of strand from bark of Terap (Artocarpus elasticus) was conducted to find the material of fishing gear’s construction. Bark of laticiferous were dried under sun light and spun to be a strand. The strand was tested their water absorption capacity and sinking speed in sea water into tube. The result show that the absorption capacity of the strand was reached 255.56% and sinking speed was 4.3 cm/sec. The relationship between absorption capacity, sinking speed and feasibility of strand from bark of laticiferous is detail discussed in this paper.Keyword: Absorption, fishing gear, terap (Artocarpus elasticus), sinking speed, strand

Abstract

This research was done in April 2015 in the open waters of Rimba MelintangVillage, Rokan Hilir Riau Province. The research objective was to determine theeffect of variations in the components of the palm kernel astringent (Trichogastertrichopterus) in fish traps catches. This research used 4 (four) comparison levels, were : Palm kernel bait (U1), Palm fruit fibersbait (U2), Palm kernel oil bait (U3),and mixture Palm fruit fibers and Palm kernel oil bait (U4). The catch device usedwere four unit of wire traps. The method used in this study was fishingexperiment in field. The design used was a simple design with randomization bait. From the result of research it can be concluded that type of palm kernel bait wasbring the best catches weight is 27.8 kilograms. This waters flow velocity in therange of 0.28-0.30 m/second and water temperature in the range of 28-30oC.Keyword : Traps, Bait, Catching

Abstract

This research purposes to determined the food safety aspects related to thesalted fish of Julung-julung (Hemirampus brasiliensi ) that use illegal preservativessold in the traditional market Pekanbaru. The method that used in this research was asurvey method which took sample from the population by involving interviews as adata collection tool. While fish samples were taken by using purposive samplingtechnique as much as 18 samples were selected from three traditional markets in thecity of Pekanbaru. Parameters t hat has been used in order to see of the illegalpreservation were chemical test and microbiological test (TPC). The results of thisresearch showed that there were three samples of salted fish Julung -julung(Hemirampus brasiliens) positive contained formaldehyde were sampled with thecode of KC2, PB1 and PC2. The third sample produced pink to purplish color afterthe sample extract drops antilin test kit. The result of the color also indicated that thesample contains at least 2 ppm. Meanwhile all neg ative samples containing borax.Parameter for microbiological analysis showed that all samples are not more than themaximum threshold 1x105 colony/gam.Keywords : quality, food savety, Hemirampus brasiliensi

Abstract

This research was aim to determine the level of consumer acceptance of salty dry squid nugget. About 4,2 kilograms of salty dry squid which obtained from Tanjungpinang market were processed into nugget. There were three kinds of nugget which made from meat of salty dry squid (200 grams; 300 grams and 400 grams) and other ingredients such as; tapioca flour, salt, sugar, egg, garlic, pepper, corn starch and bread crumbs. The parameter of this research was organoleptic assay (consumer acceptance) chemical analysis. The result showed that 200 grams of salty dry squid nugget was the best great meat and most fafourable by consumer acceptance with appearance 93.75%, aroma 72.50%, taste 71.25%, texture 95.00%, masture content 29.19%, protein content 16.22%, ash content 1.42%, fat content 4,31% and carbohydrat content 48,86 %.Keywords: Consumer acceptance, Nugget, Salty dry squid

Abstract

This research was held on march 2015, in fishing gear material labour of fisheries resource utilization program in fishery and marine science faculty.Aimed to find out sinking speed and absorption of bundung grass linne. meanwhile, the benefit of this research was as information material bundung grass utilization as material fishing. This research used experimental method. In this method, researcher tried to make an attempt and direct analysis of bundung grass linne potential as fishing gear material. The result of bundung grass linne research with length 4 cm, diameter 0,1 cm, spun direction Z, dry weight 0,05 gr showed that water absorption from bundung grass linne was 0,31 gr or 500 % from its own dry weight and has 2,6 cm/sec sinking speed. Based on absorption and sinking speed value from bundung grass, can be concluded that bundung grass has a potential as the natural fibre for fishing gear material. Keywords: Bundung grass, fishing gear material, sinking speed, absorption
