Abstract

Tuanku Tambusai street is a road with many road side activities such as pedestrians, public transport stops and other vehicles as well as vehicles going in and out of land side roads. Those activities that have an impact on traffic flow problems such as congestion, therefore an analysis is needed due to the influence of side barriers on road performance. This research was conducted on the road section of the SKA intersection to Tuanku Tambusai street – Sudirman with two directions and four road segments. All data taken in the field are primary data such as road geometrycal conditions, vehicle flow volume, side barriers, travel speed. While secondary data are population and research location maps. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, the most influential side barriers to the performance of road sections are the side barriers of vehicles entering and exiting with a contribution of 53 - 91%. The influence is carried out by the diversion of the side barriers of the vehicle exit/entry, it is found that there is an increase in the capacity of the east road with range of 206 - 362 pcu/hour daily and the west road with range of 33 - 231 pcu/hour daily, a decrease in the degree of saturation to the east road with range of 0.35 - 0.073 and the west road with ranged of 0.006 - 0.063, an increase in vehicle travel speed of the east road with ranged of 3 - 4 km/hour and the west road with ranged of 0.5 - 6 km/hour, and an increase in Level Of Service to A level has characteristics of free flow, low volume, high speed.   Keywords: Side Barriers, Road Performance, Level Of Service

Abstract

Nanomagnetic solid base catalyst synthesized with iron powder nanoparticle to load calcium oxide through impregnation method. The optimum conditions for the manufacture of catalysts investigated. Effect of weight ratio of CaO to iron powder and calcination temperature on the catalytic performance were studied. The catalyst with the highest activity is obtained when the weight ratio of CaO to iron powder is 80:20 and calcination temperature of 850 °C under transesterification reaction conditions of a molar ratio of methanol/oil 10:1, catalyst dosage of 1% by weight, temperature of 70 °C for 2 hours with biodiesel results reached 81.32%. CaO, Fe2O3 and Ca(OH)2 material was found in the catalyst through x-ray diffraction with a catalyst alkalinity values of H_ > 9.3 through alkalinity analysis using hammet indicator phenolphthalein and specific surface area of catalyst is 1.963 m2/g through Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis.Keywords: biodiesel, calcination, calcium oxide, catalysts, impregnation, iron powder, transesterification.

Abstract

Food Center Departement Stores (Food Court) in Rokan Hulu is the only one center of the culinary tourism in Rokan Hulu. Culinary activities covered by the existing facilities in the design that is supported by views freely toward the waterfront area, namely Sungai Batang Lubuh. Through the concept of Eddies Flow design food court at the center of culinary tourism in Rokan Hulu can realize the main function of the design to be the center of culinary tourism in Rokan Hulu utilizing the potential of local wisdom in the surrounding waterfront area to be the development of the design using the response and approach application of Waterfront Architecture.keywords : Rokan Hulu, Food Court, Waterfront Architecture.

Abstract

One parameter of reliabilities from The Electrical Power Distribution System is the continuity of electrical power supply to the consumers. Therefore, it is needed a system that can monitor and control the performance of the distribution system in real-time and based on computers. The system which perform such these jobs is Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The Distribution System has been integrated with SCADA can minimize the time disturbances that has effect to the reliability index of Electrical Power Distribution System. Use reability indexin this research refers to index of Electrical Power Distribution System that is the value of System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI). This reliability index associated with the member disturbancesan and long disruption of the Distribution System. Index of Distribution System reliability of PT. PLN (Persero) APD Riau and Riau Islands has increased after the integration with SCADA systems. In this case percentage from reliability index Distribution System increase based on the analysis and calculation of SAIDI index value is 41.62%.Keywords: Distribution System, Reliability, SAIDI, SCADA, Time Disturbance

Abstract

The fan centrifugal for exhaust of welding gas has developed to ensure the welder in healthy from the effect of welding gas emition. The purpose of this study was measure the amount of gas in order to know suitable position and space in welding proces. Testing done with variation of distances, positions and the production of smoke. The testing have conducted in horizontal and vertikal positions. The positions are 10 cm, 20cm, 30 cm from the center of pipe suction. Respectively the diameter of welding electrodes are 2.6 mm, 3.2 mm, 4.0 mm. The fan centrifugal is able to exhaust the gases of welding it look there is no gases left after welding process in the end. Abstract

This research refers to the increasing economic value of waste management special automotive equipment on dry type motorcycle batteries. This research was conducted by using descriptive method which includes observation, interview, and documentation which then continued with process of disassembling and separation of recyclable component for next price determined. The purpose of this research is to know the increase of value selling process from the waste battery, and to know the process of disassembling of battery and difference of economic value before and after recycling. Before through the process using the battery used for Rp.10.000,- s/d Rp. 14,000,- per unit, but, after passed by the process of recycling the battery price becomes to Rp. 22,218,- per unit, in this case can be seen increase in economic value of Rp. 8,218,- per unit of battery or approximately 58.7% per unit of dry used battery. This indicate a significant increase in economic value through the process of recycling these dry batteries, so it can become a profitable new business fieldKeyword : Battery, Automotive, Waste

Abstract

Sri Meranti and Umban Sari are located in Rumbai district Pekanbaru with the vast region of 8,59 km2 and 8,64 km2. The closest area to the city is Sri Meranti with 5 km distance straight. The needs of clean water in Sri Meranti and Umban Sari have served by Tirta Siak Municipal Waterworks Pekanbaru, but it is not serving the amount needed to the development in the services of clean water. The purpose of this research is to estimate and count the needs of clean water in Sri Meranti and Umban Sari in Rumbai district Pekanbaru until 2032. After analyzing the number of residents, obtained the results of the number of people in Sri Meranti and Umban Sari in the district Rumbai Pekanbaru in 2032 is 50.749 people. And the number of water demand is 126,87 l/sec.Keywords: Development, Water Demand, Clean Water

Abstract

The use of botanical pesticides is one alternative that is safe and environmentally friendly to take advantage of the potential of plant extracts as pesticides to control pests. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of time variations of submersion to yield and pH. Test secondarymetabolites component of maximum yield and to test the toxicity of the extract obtained from test animals and estimating the LC₅₀ extract of Papaya leaf and starfruit in each submersion can kill mosquito larvae in 24 hours. The research was done by extraction method,and separation of secondary metabolites with rotary evaporator with a variation of submersion that is 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 days, the ratio of material and solvent is 1:4. The highest result is pointed at 9 days submersion, 9,9% and ph 5,73. Secondary metabolites components successfully tasted are alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and sulfur. LC₅₀ value of each pobit test is 2425,013 ppm obtained at 1 days of submersion, in 3, 5, 7 days showed LC₅₀ ppm consist of 2063,153 ppm, 1497,171 ppm, 1088,765 ppm. In 9 days has not result of LC₅₀ because the animals (object) have very high mortality.Keywords : Axtraction, botanical pesticides, LC5₅₀, papaya leaf, starfruit.

Abstract

Quadcopter is an unmanned flying vehicle whose lift force is produced by the rotation of the driving motor. One type of multicopter that is widely used to conduct aerial mapping missions is the quadcopter type. In this study the design of a quadcopter frame structure that was able to fly for more than 20 minutes with a MTOW quadcopter flying vehicle was 5 kg. The quadcopter used in this study is the hexacopter type X with a dimensions of the quadcopter frame of 790 mm were obtained based on the motor and propeller used. The MTOW of quadcopter is 563 gram.Quadcopter is made using carbon fiber composite material on the arm and middle plate, acrylic material on the clamp and polyacid material on the mounting. In the process of planning and making a carbon fiber composites, it is carried out using the hand lay-up and vacuum bagging method. So, that the results obtained with a wheelbase length of 787 mm and a diagonal of the middle plate of 200 mm, with MTOW is 679 gram. Abstract

Siak river basin now in criticial condition. This condition is due to land use changes in the upper body and cause silting in the river. The silting decreasing the capacity of the river so when heavy rain occurs, tha rivers could not accomodate it and it will cause flooding. The flood disaster which is very difficult to predict and lack of water resources at dry season made the citizens lack of preparation to deal with. A solution to anticipate that is to provide an early warning system. In order for the system to work well, it need a prediction method that could provide good quality of data, the method called SOM-ANN. SOM-ANN method consisted by two different types of algorithms, there are Self Organizing Maps (SOM) and Backpropagation. The purpose of this study was to test the reliability of SOM-ANN method in discharge predicting in Tapung Kanan River. The weighting result from SOM’s learning applied to Backpropagation’s learning, so that the pattern recognizing becomes faster and gaining more accuracy. By a comparison with ANN method, SOM-ANN method can improve a better performance and accuracy of predicting results with 1099% increase in performance and 44,74% increase in accuracy with an error value MSE = 0,001725, so that the discharge prediction modelling can be used to predict the discharge in the future.Keywords : artificial neural network, self organizing maps, discharge, prediction modelling
