Abstract

LTE as the top cellular technology at this time has become the reference standard for the success of a user to connect the network. LTE planning with the Multi-RAT access system can optimize the planning of the 700 MHz LTE spectrum in Pekanbaru in the future. Multi-RAT is a technology planning for two or more RAT networks with a shared access system that can improve network performance. Based on the results of network to tracking using Nperf Software, there are many blankspot areas existing condition of Pekanbaru at this time can be said that causes users can not access the cellular network. To validate the success of the users side that connected to the network, then a Monte Carlo algorithm simulation that is run using Radio Planning Atoll Software is needed. Monte Carlo simulation is a probability simulation that analyzes network capacity using a user distribution to test the reliability of network coverage based on a randomization process.The data generated from the Monte Carlo algorithm simulation is connected user persentation and the value of throughput obtained from multiplication of single user throughput with number of active customers. In simulation testing to resulted Multi-RAT connected user is 99.93% of users with a throughput average around 2.968,72 Mbps. On the other side non Multi-RAT connected user is 97.83% of users connected with throughput average obtained at 2,198.1 Mbps. So, it can be concluded that LTE network planning with Multi-RAT technology can be taken into considered for future LTE planning because it produce higher percentage of average value of connected users and throughput.Keywords: LTE, Multi-RAT, Monte Carlo Algorithm Simulation, Connected UserThroughput Value.

Abstract

Radial distribution network has a load imbalance due to be connected directly to the consumer, so that the voltage and voltage drop is not the same thing for each phase. Several methods are utilized to analyze power flow such as; Newton Rapson and fast Decouple. The method uses the assumption of balanced load in each phase. In this study, the direct approach method will be analyzed for loads that are not balanced in the distribution system. This direct approach method have been carried out on feeders 20 kV Adi Sucipto PT. PLN (Persero) in Pekanbaru. The simulation results have shown the value of accuray with a fairly good average. The final results obtained are reflected in the value of Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 2.5% of the measurement voltage.Keywords: distribution system, direct approach, feeders, voltage drop, MAPE

Abstract

Bioremediation has the potential to be one method in the removal process of organic compounds with initial BOD and COD content of 165.1 mg/L and 5336 mg/L. Utilization of Bacillus sp. in the bioremediation process has a more effective elimination ability where Bacillus sp. have properties such as having a wide range of growth temperatures, forming spores, resistant to antiseptic compounds, are aerobic or facultative anaerobes and do not require relatively expensive growth factors. This study aims to the effect of variations in the medium of growth of Bacillus sp. in port surface water in setting aside the content of BOD, COD, Oil and fat in aerobic processes with contact times of 0, 1, 3, 5 and 7 days. This research was conducted with the Batch Reactor system with a working volume of 8 liters and variations in the medium of Nutrient Broth (NB) bacteria 2 ml, 4 ml, and 8 ml (v / v). The results showed that the highest rate and efficiency of COD removal occurred in the 8 ml bacterial NB medium with 90% removal efficiency. The highest BOD removal efficiency was found in 2 ml bacterial NB medium reactor with removal efficiency of 80% and the highest oil and fat removal efficiency occurred in 8 ml bacterial NB medium with allowance efficiency reaching 88.27%.Keywords: Bioremediation, Port Surface Water, Bacillus sp.

Abstract

Palm frond so far only used as a source of raw materials for animal feed, compost and organic fertilizer in the plantation. Palm frond has a calorific value of 15184.05 kJ/kg with a density of 0.1383 g/cm3. The calorific value can be increased by densification. Dencification is one method to increase the density of the biomass so that it will increase the calorific value of the biomass. The purpose of this research is to produce solid fuel products from palm fronds uses densification process, to determine the characteristics of the product and determine the effect of tapioca adhesive composition and pressure in the process of densification in density, calorific value and proximate. Tapioca adhesive composition used were10, 20, 30 %. Pressure used were50, 75 and 100 bar. The particle size used were < 20 Mesh . The highest density and calorific value of the product is 1.1375gr/cm3and 5144,94cal/gr was obtained at tapioca adhesive composition 30% and pressure 100 bar.Keywords :Densification, Density, Tapioca Adhesive, Pressure, Palm Fronds.

Abstract

Currently scheduling courses at S1 Informatics Engineering University of Riau University is still done manually. Such a process requires a lot of accuracy and a lot of time, so there is a possibility of a clash of schedules which results in delays in the teaching and learning process. To overcome this, this study applies the Genetic Algorithm in the Course Scheduling System to shorten the time making schedule and help solve scheduling problems. Variables used include Lecturer Data, Room Data, Course Data, and Learning Hours Data. The output is Optimal Lecture Schedule without any restrictions that are not met. Abstract

Bandar Khayangan Lake Tourist Area is a tourist attraction located in the Village Limbungan, District Rumbai Pesisir. The tourist area has the potential to become the tourism icon in Pekanbaru due to its physical condition which still green and natural, and Bandar Khayangan Lake is the only lake in Pekanbaru. Facilities and infrastructure of recreation onBandar Khayangan Lake Tourist Area is still lacking so that the number of tourists is relatively small. The design method used is the result of field survey, literature study, and empirical data. The designing process of Bandar Khayangan Lake Tourist Area arrangementfocuses on water recreation, land recreation, family culinary, inn, and picnic while enjoying nature beauty. To optimize the potential of Bandar Khayangan Lake as the main recreation, the design theme used is waterfront architecture especially in recreation sector. This designfollows the waterfront architecture rules. The concept used in structuring tourist area is lotus, which is one of plants that lives in waters area of lake and has significant role in ecosystem of Bandar Khayangan lake. This concepts is a reference in the design of areas andbuildings. Abstract

Swimming training center is a place related with water sports activities such as competitions and training for athletes and beginner swimmers. The number of people who are interested in swimming is various from children to adults who can get a very positive effect because water sports will provide bodily health and also will be able to increase the number of swimming athletes for a competition in each area, but a complete swimming pool facilities are not yet available in Bintan. Designing a swimming training center that aims to increase the enthusiasm of learning and swimming training for the people in Bintan, both athletes and beginner swimmers. Swimming Training Center Facilities uses the Expressionist Architecture approach that aimed at people who see the building can recognize the function of the building. In the application of this design concept is the inequality that can be seen from four different swimming style techniques, namely breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke and butterfly style. The breaststroke technique is applied on the support buildings, while the freestyle and the backstroke are applied to the main building, and the butterfly style technique is applied to the roof of the main building. . Abstract

The increasing needs of electrical energy and the limited amount of fossil fuel that keep reducing give a huge effect to the enhancement of renewable wind energy to grows rapidly, one of it is wind turbine. The purpose of this research is to study the performance of horizontal axis wind turbine with inverse taper blade. The wind turbine is place on a building with ±15m. The output power is measured under loading condition with 4.37 kg load. Acquired data were wind velocity, air temperature, constant load, and the shaft rotation speed. The result of the power test is 0.49 watt under wind velocity of 2.92 m/s and Tip Speed Ratio (TSR) 0.056 Keyword: Wind turbine, wind speed, inverse taper, TSR

Abstract

Modified asphalt is one of the alternative to method the road problems in Indonesia. This experiment aims to determine the effect of mixing ratio and temperature towards the property of asphalt - crumb rubber. This research method conducted by varied ratio 5%, 8% and 10% of melted crumb rubber. Then, mixsed with melt asphalt. The temperature variation of this process were at 150 oC and 170 oC for 60 minutes. The softening point, penetration, marshall stability and loss weight were tested from the modified asphalt. The results of this study indicated that the modified asphalt with crumb rubber has increased the value of softening point, penetration, stability marshall and decrease the loss weight. The best results was at 150 oC with 10% of crumb rubber, which has the softening point at 52 oC, penetration at 74.1 mm, marshal stability 1266.7 kg and loss weight 0.017%.Keywords : asphalt modified, crumb rubber, mixing ratio, penetration, stability marshall

Abstract

Freeze vacuum drying is one of the best drying methods for preserving foodstuffs. Besides being one of the solutions for post-harvest technology, freeze vacuum drying is also able to increase the selling value of an ingredient. This research is a follow-up study of freeze vacuum drying where in previous studies it was found that the maximum water loss is 78% of the mass of 50 g yam with the drying chamber temperature kept at -9ºC within 4 hours, using a quick-drying method that utilizes heat from the condenser for secondary drying. In this case, the condenser will be cooled using water, the heat from condenser will be discharged and will be absorbed by water, the water will be flowed into the drying chamber, with the temperature of the water flowing at 40ºC. This study aims to develop a freeze vacuum drying method using self-heating system by utilizing heat condenser. The maximum water loss in this study was 77.2% of 1 kg mass at a constant temperature of -6ºC for 4 hours, with the energy consumption used 4.73 kWh. Keyword: Freeze, Vacuum, Drying, Yam.
