Abstract

The distribution system is an important part of the electrical energy distribution activities as directly connected to the customers. Therefore, the distribution system is always required to have good reliability. One of solution to increase reliability is using recloser in the medium voltage feeder.Optimal placement of recloser will be able to maximize reliability. In this researched, the author used a Ant Colony Optimizization method in determining the optimal position of recloser. Objective function is combining SAIFI and SAIDI. SAIFI and SAIDI are calculated using section technique method. Simulation calculations using MATLAB (Matrix Laboratory) programming. Program testing was carried out on the Gurami Feeder network at PT. PLN (Persero) ULP West City Pekanbaru Area which distributes electrical energy sourced from the Garuda Sakti Substation. Gurami feeder is a radial distribution network. Based on the application of the ACO method, the best position for placing the addition of a recloser on the main feeder before the distribution transformer is KB-0508 (100kVA). The addition of the recloser with the best position resulted in a reduction in the SAIDI value from the initial value of 16.647 hours/year to 14.040 hours/year and the SAIFI value from the initial value of 18.907 times/year to 15,928 times/year. Abstract

Pekanbaru City is the capital city of Riau province, where the majority of the population is Muslim. Therefore, the existence of a representative mosque as the main means of worship for Muslims is very necessary. In general, the number of mosques in Pekanbaru City is sufficient, this is proven by the fact that it is not difficult for immigrants to find mosques when they are going to worship. However, the existence of the existing mosque building is still seen as not being able to represent the vision of the city of Pekanbaru "The Realization of Pekanbaru as a Smart City Madani", where one of the missions is to Increase Human Resources (HR) who are Faithful, Independent, Resilient and Highly Competitive. To realize a place of worship or a mosque that fulfills the mission of the city of Pekanbaru, a mosque is designed with a futuristic architect approach. Futuristic architecture is an understanding of freedom in expressing or expressing ideas or ideas into an unusual, creative and innovative display form. The design of a mosque with a futuristic architectural concept related to technology requires a special design that refers to space requirements, the appearance of the building and the use of materials with today's technology. Abstract

Mikrotik has the ability to improve network performance through the RouterOS device. Junior High School named Tunas Bangsa uses a router that has not been configured properly so it has an impact on poor network quality. This is evidenced by the results of the Quality of Service (QOS) measurement from a throughput parameter which is included in the "bad" category based on the TIPHON throughput standard.The solution to improve network performance is design bandwidth management using the Per Connection Queue (PCQ) method. The method is designed for network condition that have many clients where the distribution of bandwidth can be done evenly because PCQ has complexity in determining parameters by grouping based on source and destination traffic.After the configuration done, the QOS calculation is carried out again to prove that the network has gained significant changes. The results show that the throughput has increased based on the TIPHON standard, it is included in the "good" category. Abstract

Peat water is a surface water that’s found in swamp and lowland areas that have characteristics of organic matter, turbidity and high color. One of peat water treatment that can be used by coagulation-flocculation. This study aims to determine the effect of peat sludge addition in coagulation-flocculation process with Coagulant Aluminium Sulfate (Al2(SO4)3) 1%. Peat water was taken in Rimbo Panjang Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. Peat sludge used in this study amounted to 6.7 gr/L, 13.4 gr/L, 20 gr/L. 26.7 gr/L and 33.4 gr/L. Rapid stirring that used 250 rpm during 1 minute and slow stirring at 60 rpm, 40 rpm and 20 rpm every 20 minutes. The results of this researchshowed that the value of turbidity increased by 18.77% with allowance efficiency from 70.45% to 89.22%, organic substance efficiency increased by 3.84% with efficiency from 96.03% to 99.87% and color efficiency parameters increased by 1.36% with efficiency from 98.50% to 99.86%.Keywords: Peat Water, Coagulation-Floculation, Peat Sludge, Turbidity, Organic Substances, Color

Abstract

Today, technology is experiencing rapid development after arriving in the Internet of Things (IoT) era. The Internet of Things concept is to connect physical devices to the internet so that the components connected in the system can communicate with each other. The application of the Internet of Things in agriculture is no exception, especially soil conditions for crops. IoTsoil moisture monitoring design uses an ESP8266 device, a capacitive soil moisture sensor, and Blynk. ESP8266 as a data processing component, humidity sensor to detect soil conditions, and the Blynk application to send notifications and monitor soil conditions. The results of the research on the Blynk application are effective for monitoring soil conditions in real-time.Keyword: Monitoring,Internet of Things, Blynk

Abstract

Crude Palm Oil (CPO) processing plant PT. Z Pelalawan Regency is one of the palm oil processing factories that uses palm kernel shells and fiber as an energy source. Palm oil processing is certainly inseparable from the problem of air pollution, especially in the environment, namely pollutant gases and dust. This study aims to analyze the concentration of dustfall based on the measurement distance from the pollutant source. Sampling of dustfall using a Dustfall Collector based on SNI 13-4703-1998. Variation of dust sampling distance falls 0 m, 300 m, 1230 m from the pollutant source. The results showed that the highest concentration of dustfall was at a distance of 0 m from the pollutant source with an average value of 24.46 g/m2/month and the lowest at a distance of 1230 m with an average value of 5.13 g/m2/month.Keywords: Shell, Fiber, Distance, Concentration of Dustfall, Palm Oil Mill

Abstract

Microplastics are one of the major threats to ecosystems in rivers. Microplastic is the smallest part of plastic measuring <5 mm which if it enters the environment it will accumulate in the waters and is not easily removed because of its persistent nature. The abundance of microplastics is strongly influenced by their activities and pollutant sources. The Sibam River is a tributary that empties into the Siak River. The high activity along the river and the presence of settlements are thought to be the distribution route for microplastics to the river. The purpose of this study was to determine the abundance and types of microplastics in the Sibam River, Pekanbaru Riau. The abundance of microplastics obtained was based on 3 segments, which ranged from 4.444-11,555 particles/kg dry sediment. The types of microplastics found in this study were fiber (15.38%), film (40.38%), and fragments (44.24%).Keywords: microplasty, abundance, sediment, Sibam River

Abstract

Copper (Cu) is a heavy metal that is toxic and can accumulated in the body. The limits of the highest concentration of this element in contamined waters range from 1-5 mg/l. Adsorption is a simple method that has proven to be quite enough effective to treating liquid waste. Isotherms of adsorption shows that the variations of adsorben and adsorbate that occur in solution at constant temperatures. The adsorption approach model in this study is isothermic adsorption. The determination of Cu2+ metal adsorption isotherms by the SBE-SMS adsorben composite is determined using the linear regression method and from the regression equation will be obtained the R2 value. The relation coefficient value from the Langmuir isother equation is obtained the value of R2 = 0.4065 and in the Freundlich isother equation obtained the value of R2 = 0.6999. From the results of Cu2+ metal adsorption research using adsorben composite spent bleachin earth (SBE) – spent mushroom substrate (SMS) it is known that isotherms adsorption that occurs following isotherm Freudlich model.Key words: Composite, Copper (Cu), Isotherm Adsorption, Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE), Spent Mushroom Substrate (SMS)

Abstract

Job Training is one of the graduation requirements for students majoring in Electrical Engineering, University of Riau. The intended purpose of implementing job training is as a means for students todevelop skills and knowledge in accordance with their field of concentration. The job training system in the Electrical Engineering department at the University of Riau still has several weaknesses. Some of them are the use of google forms when students submit job training, the uneven amount of guidance for supervisors and the difficulty of conducting face-to-face guidance. The solution to these problems is to build a web-based job training information system that is used to manage job training data. The system is developed using the CodeIgniter web framework with PHP and HTML programming language. Abstract

Empty palm bunches as the most waste generated from the processing of fresh fruit bunches have the potential to be used as renewable energy source in the form of biomass briquettes. This can be seen form the availability are ±23% from the all process (Susilawati dan Setyadi, 2017) and have thermal energy is ±4.958,46 cal/gr (Ronaldo, 2020). However, the burning of empty palm bunches briquettes as solid fuel for household can effect the indoor air quality, so need to do study test. In this study will test the gas pollutant CO, SO2 dan NO2 from the burnng of empty palm bunches briquettes use the adsorbent method with impinger. The test will doing in 1 hour in the room that has 15% surface area ventilation of the floor surface area. The test result will be compared with quality standar PerMenKes RI No. 1077 tahun 2011. The result show that there 4,75 ppm CO, 0,09 ppm SO2 and 0,033 ppm NO2. Based on the result of this study that the burnng of empty palm bunches briquettes with the room that has 15% surface area ventilation of the floor surface area were below quality standar PerMenKes RI No. 1077 tahun 2011 about Pedoman Penyehatan Udara dalam Ruangan Rumah.Keywords : briquettes, empty palm bunches, indoor air quality, concentrasion of gaseous pollutans.
