Abstract

Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunches (OPEFB) are natural fibers that have potential as fillers or reinforcement for polymer composites in terms of physical properties, morphology, and chemical composition. The problem in previous research is the weak bond between the fiber and the matrix, which causes low mechanical properties. Composite manufacture in this study using OPEFB fiber and epoxy matrix with vacuum bagging method. OPEFB fiber with a length of 3 cm was extracted using 5% OPEFB ash with boiling temperatures of 40°C, 55°C, and 70°C, with a boiling time of 1, 2, 3 hours, and in the composite manufacturing process, silane coupling agent was added to the matrix with variation of fractions 1.5%, 2% and 2.5% of the matrix volume. Experimental design and variables affect tensile strength, impact strength and water absorption, to determine the experimental design and variables in this study using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) statistical method. The results showed the maximum tensile strength at running 19 with a value of 21,859 MPa, with a temperature of 70°C, boiling time of 3 hours, and the addition of a matrix of 2.5%. The maximum impact strength at running 2 with a value of 215.96 J/m, with a temperature percentage of 70°C, boiling time of 3 hours, and the addition of a matrix of 1.5%. Minimum water absorption on running 19 with a value of 1.4%, with a temperature of 70°C, boiling time of 3 hours, and the addition of a matrix of 2.5%. Abstract

The increase in ownership of motorized vehicles has resulted in increased transportation activities. The tendency to increase the number of motorized vehicles operating will increase the traffic load, one example of which is the increase in noise intensity. This study aims to measure noise intensity and map noise at peak hours due to transportation activities that occur at the Tabek Gadang intersection, Pekanbaru City by taking data in the form of noise data and several other traffic variables such as vehicle volume. This research was conducted using a Sound Level Meter (SLM) for 2 days, namely on Monday which represents peak hours and Sunday which represents vehicle quiet hours. The results showed that from 24 measurement points the highest noise level was 96,86 dB which was the point with high traffic volume and the lowest noise level was 76,58 dB which had low traffic volume. Noise mapping using the Surfer 11 software program. From this study it can also be concluded that the greater the volume of the vehicle, the lower the vehicle speed, resulting in a high noise level, and vice versa so that the volume of the vehicle is directly proportional to the noise level, while the speed of the vehicle is inversely proportional to the level of noise. Abstract

Social media is very important in everyday life. However, when used, a lot of personal data and information is shared. This risks being vulnerable to personal data leaks. Facebook is one of the social media that often experiences user data leaks. There are many ways to steal Facebook user data, one of which is by using Phishing techniques. Phishing means tricking a user into entering a username, password, or other personal data on a modified site. This research was conducted regarding Phishing attacks. The method used is the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). The stages flow starts from the preparation stage, the collection stage, the examination stage, the analysis stage, and the reporting stage. The Wireshark application was used to search for evidence, and the Hashcalc application was used to acquire the obtained evidence. Keywords: Facebook, phishing, cybercrime, Wireshark.

Abstract

Vacuum freeze drying is the latest technology in agricultural products that carry out the drying process, the vacuum freeze drying (VFD) method is a method that maintains color, aroma and taste. Freeze vacuum drying research by utilizing the exhaust heat of the condenser aims to optimize vacuum freeze drying so that the vacuum freeze drying process. The drying process with this method can reduce the energy consumption used by utilizing the condenser exhaust heat to accelerate the sublimation process of the water contained in the yam. In this research, a condenser has been successfully designed and made with an outer diameter of 0.0127 m and an inside diameter of 0.0102 m and a pipe length of 30.8 m.Keywords: vacuum freeze-drying, condenser, refrigeration system

Abstract

With current technological developments, digital equipments have become our daily necessity, one example is an Android Smartphone. In an Android Smartphone device, there are features that can be used to share internet connection, namely Wifi Tethering. Tethering is a Wifi feature in an Android Smartphone that can be used as a mobile hotspot. In fact, the Wifi Tethering feature is still used seldom, because many users’ mobile device still, such as Android Smartphones and Tablet PCs, do not know this feature. These users only use private internet. Therefore, this study discuss using Wifi Tethering on an Android Smartphone. Focus of discussion is to determine one of Qos Parameter, such as Throughput Value, during tethering. This test uses the Wireshark application to monitor the download test process and capture test results. The index results obtained from the Value of Throughput, Delay, Packet Loss are 4 and based on the THIPON Standard it is included in the Very Good Category. For the index result of the jitter value is 3, and based on the THIPON standard it is in the good category.Keywords : Smartphone Android, Tethering, Troughput, Delay, Packet Loss, Jitter.

Abstract

Binjai watershed is one of nine watersheds on Natuna Island which has the largest area of 643.62 km2. Along with regional development and population growth, the need for livestock also continues to increase, because it is intended to meet people's meat consumption. In the field of animal husbandry, water is very necessary for the development of livestock. Water demands of livestock will continue to increase in accordance with the growth of livestock. This study uses the library research or study literature, taken from secondary data by the relevant government. The result of this study are that in 2010 livestock water demands was 30.15 m3/day, in 2020 livestock water demands was 44.96 m3/day, while the projection in 2040 livestock water demands is 82.60 m3/day. It can be concluded that there is an increase in livestock water demands for each year.Keywords : binjai watershes, livestock water demans, projection.

Abstract

Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport has annually experienced an increase in the number of passengers and the number of aircraft operating based on data from 2010 to 2018. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate and optimize the apron. The purpose of this study is to determine the peak hour aircraft movements, project the need for parking stands and optimize for the existing year (2020) and the plan year, namely 2030 and 2035, using aircraft data B 737-900 as the largest planned airport aircraft. Forecasting the movement of the number of aircraft is carried out using the regression method. The results of the analysis in 2030 and 2035 the apron capacity of SSK II Airport has exceeded the existing capacity, because the current apron capacity at SSK II Airport is 12 parking stands with an area of 476 x 110 m. The area and capacity of the apron required in 2030 are 18 parking stands with an apron area of 710 x 150 m and for 2035, it is 20 parking stands with an apron area of 780 x 150 m. Abstract

Palm shell has the potential as a biochar raw material because it contains hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin. The purpose of this study is to study the influence of pyrolysis temperature on the characteristics of biochar produced in accordance with SNI 06-3730-1995. Palm shell biochar is pyrolysis with temperature variations of 500 oC and 600 oC for 1 hour and activated using NaOH. Biochar palm shell has met SNI 06-3730-1995 for water content and volatile levels, while ash levels and fixed carbon levels are not in accordance with the requirements.Keywords : Biochar, palm shell, moisture, ash, vollatile, fixed carbon

Abstract

By increasing number of users / devices, the Coded Random Access application is suitable for use enable wireless access successfully in super congested networks. Usage problems Coded Random Access prohibitions emerged. Stop sets are dangerous structures, where none exist another way for multiple users stuck in a set to be decoded. Set stop by degree distribution. This paper presents a probability analysis of the stopping set coded random Access to Internet of Thing (IoT) with Multi User Detection (MUD) capability. It uses MATLAB R2016a as a proving tool. The result of this research is used as an assessment of future IoT network performance. The result is done that this research has a high chance of being accurate and very practical. Then, a new graph stopping set for MUD with a constant 2 is found in the simulation results. Number of user / device randperm, ˄ (x) and G affect the probability of the set out of the CRA for IoT networks. Abstract

Microwave imaging system is one of the technologies that can be used to detect objects, especially in the field of medical diagnoses, such as detecting tumors in the breast. The technology used is ultrawideband (UWB) with the advantages of low cost, low power consumption, and high transmission capacity. In this study, a flexible antenna was designed at a frequency of 5.8 GHz using a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) substrate with a dielectric constant of 2.67 – 3.00 and a loss tangent of 0.02-0.05 for breast tumor detection applications. The antenna design process uses the CST studio suite software. The simulation results of a flexible antenna at an operating frequency of 5.8 GHz with a return loss parameter of -39.19 dB, a VSWR of 1.22, a bandwidth of 3.1 GHz in a frequency range of 4.52–7.62 GHz, the resulting radiation pattern is almost omnidirectional, and a gain of 2.26 dBi. In addition, the gain of flexible antenna with phantom breast without tumor is -23.62 dB and phantom breast with tumor is -24.85 dB at operating frequency of 5.5 GHz, which is shifted by 300 MHz from the desired frequency.
