Abstract

The rapid development of telecommunications technology makes a network with a larger bandwidth capacity and higher speed. In order to meet these demands, optical communication technologies have been developed, one of which is Radio Over Fiber (RF), which combines a wireless and an optical network using an analog optical cable that transmits a modulated Radio Frequency (RF) signal. This study uses a frequency of 15 GHz combined with Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) and Sub Carrier Multiplexing  (SCM) technology. It presents an SCM/WDM ROF using Diferensial phase shift keying  (DPSK) modulation technique. The performance parameters are BER, Q-factor and eye diagram. The model system was simulated using the OptiSystem simulation software. Based on the results, the BER values are 1.00243 x 10-50 at SCM/WDM 1 and 1.24638 x 10-47 at SCM/WDM 2, respectively. Futhermore, the Q-Factor quality is 14,933 at SCM/WDM 1 and is 14,4503 on SCM/WDM 2. Abstract

Cats are pets that are liked by people of all ages and circles, including in Indonesia. Adorable physical form and behavior are the reason cats are much liked. However, people's knowledge is currently lacking on care, health, and first aid for cats. Website-based 3D animation is a good place to convey information about health and give first aid to cats. In this study, 3D animation was created using Blender software. 3D animation videos hosted on the website. The website used in this study uses a static website type. The programming languages used in making this website are HyperText Markup Language (HTML), JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS). The complete address of the website results is p3k-kucing.nunitostudio.com. 3D animation videos and websites were tested for usability using a Likert scale. The test was conducted on 20 respondents from various circles and one validator, namely a veterinarian. The test results show that this website-based 3D animation is in the very worthy category.Keywords: Cats, 3D Animation, Website

Abstract

Broiler chicken is a source of food that can be harvested within one month. The high level of feed consumption causes the body temperature of the chicken to heat up faster so that broiler chickens lose weight and even death. In the distribution of broiler chickens, broiler chicken storage is needed before being marketed, this storage has a problem that is hotter room temperature due to the chicken's own body heat and lack of air circulation. With a temperature controller, the risk of failure of broiler production can be handled. In this paper, an Internet of Things (IoT) system is created by reading and adjusting temperature conditions in broiler chicken storage. This design uses NodeMCU as a microcontroller with a built-in WIFI ESP8266 module, DHT11 sensor is used for temperature readings. The android application is designed using the Web-based MITAPPINVENTOR. This design will turn on the fan if the temperature in the storage exceeds 30 °C and turn off the fan if the storage temperature is below 30 °C. The results of broiler chickens with the IoT system have weight gain because the chickens are not getting hot compared to broilers without the Internet of Things (IoT) system which have weight loss and death. Abstract

Developed technology charts required in various installments of computer-network technology. Computer network infrastructure is the most basic component that must be built properly. Network stability, among others, concerns network traffic, is the core that must always be maintained and its quality is maintained. The navigation district is a government agency under the ministry of transportation that utilizes network technology to support information needs. Riau Province District has a ship traffic service installation. Frequent bugs in marine traffic monitoring systems are the network connected to the Vassel Trafic Service (VTS) down due to bad weather, damage to the LAN port of the radio link. Abstract

Transmission lines are tools used to channel electricity from power plants to distributor stations to electricity users. Electricity systems continue to develop, ranging from using one machine to many machines (multi-machines). One analysis that can be done on interconnection systems when the state is steady (tunak or steady state) is the study of power flow. The study of power flow will ensure that the new power system can meet electricity needs economically, efficiently and safely. In this study the method used is gauss seidel method with the help of MATLAB software. From the research conducted, the plant data obtained power of 328.5 MW. While the power that arises between the channels between Koto Panjang to Kota Pinang the active power is 4977,388 KW and the reactive power is J7685,092 KW. So the total power lost from the Koto Panjang transmission line to Kota Pinang amounted to 9156,147 KW or equal to 9.1 MW. So the percentage of lost power that occurs in the channel is 2.78%. Abstract

Waste is the residue of human activities that form of solid waste. Waste needs to be managed to avoid having a negative impact. One effort to manage a waste is to make the transportation of waste. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the transport of waste regarding the transport of waste in Zone III (Rumbai and West Rumbai District). Result of this research suggest that longer the distance a route takes, the greater the time it takes, it can be seen from the amount of time that TP 57 uses to drive longest. TP 57 have the longest route 62,95 Km. The exciting of waste transportation system in Zone III uses a direct pattern and manual SCS. The averaget total amount of time that is used to transport garbage per rotation is 5,110 hours/rotation, and the average of ritaion is 2 ritations per day. Calculating data indicate that waste hauling is ineffective and unproductive Productivity of waste hauling activities can be seen at off-route value. Abstract

Fe content is a metal that is quite high in peat water. One technology that can be applied to remove Fe content is aeration. Aeration is the process of adding oxygen to water so that it can cause Fe oxidation reaction which will then cause Fe(OH)3 deposition. This study aims to determine the ability of the cascade aerator to remove Fe content in peat water with discharge variations of 4, 4,5, and 5 l/min with a variation of the trap area of 1,8 m2 and 2 m2. Also calculated is the value of the gas transfer coefficient (KLa) in the aeration process using a cascade aerator. Fe content before aeration was 1,22 mg/l. The results showed that the highest efficiency of removal of Fe content occurred at a discharge of 5 l/minute at a trap area of 2 m2 with an efficiency of 81,16%. The highest gas transfer coefficient value was obtained at a discharge of 5 l/minute on a 2 m2 trap area of 0,111/minute. The research results obtained have met the clean water quality standards PERMENKES RI No. 32 years 2017. Abstract

This study examines the value of porosity in hybrid geopolymer concrete immersed in peat water. FABA as the main ingredient for making concrete has a high silica content. The purpose of this study was to find out the modulus activator with the ratio of modulus silicate (Ms) as one of the factors affecting the porosity value of FABA hybrid geopolymer concrete immersed in peat water. This study has been done to determine the percentage of pores in the concrete by examined the characteristics of the geopolymer concrete material. The mix design of the specimens was determined by a silicate modulus ratio of 2, 2.5, and 3, 12M for the NaOH molarity, 0,65 for Na2SiO3/FABA ratio, and 0,26 for water/FABA ratio. The samples were made in the form of a cylinder concrete with diameter 105 mm and height 105 mm with a total of 24 samples. The samples were cured at room temperature for 28 days and then immersed in peat water for 28 days. The results showed that the lowest geopolymer concrete porosity was found in concrete with Ms 3, which was 11.92% and the highest was found in concrete with Ms 2, which was 14.24%.Keyword : Porosity, fly ash, geopolymer, modulus silicate, NaOH

Abstract

Implementation of Physical Freshness Test today is done manually which makes the executive officer TKJI have difficulties in calculating the results of the test participants. TKJI application is an application used to facilitate TKJI officers in carrying out tests Physical Freshness. TKJI application used for participants aged 16-19 years based on Android. There are five criteria were used that test run Sprint 60 Meter, Test Suspension Lift Body, Baring Test Sitting, Upright Skip Test, Test Medium 1200 Meter Sprint. Usability Testing Results of this study of 20 respondents with 19 questions obtained results revealed 90.25% Very Worthy. The purpose of this research is to develop software applications Physical Freshness Android-Based Test to assist in the implementation and measurement of results TKJI. Abstract

At this time the need for electrical energy continues to increase, power plants that use non-renewable natural resources are more dominantly used to meet the growing needs of electrical energy. Renewable energy is the solution to this problem. Biomass is a type of renewable energy sourced from living or dead biological materials that can be used as a fuel source in plants. Applications for the use of renewable energy sources in the form of biomass can be analyzed at PT Tri Bakti Sarimas. Where this company uses fiber and palm shell as fuel in boilers. By using fiber and palm shell as renewable fuel in boilers, so as to increase the efficiency value of the turbine. The study used the rankine cycle method to get efficiency values on turbines. From the results of thermal efficiency calculations used can be seen only 33.78% of the power provided into the boiler that can be converted into mechanical energy. At the efficiency value in steam power generation (PLTU) rank for pltu is 25%-50%. The efficiency of the turbine obtained is 33.78% while the efficiency of the generator is 62.5%. the required fibers as much as 7200 kg / hour and palm shells as much as 1800 kg / hour. The resulting turbine power is 2987.97 KW and the electricity generated is 983 KWh.Keyword : rankine cycle, turbine, fiber, palm shell
