Abstract

Abstract: This research contains explanations and elaborations regarding the obstacles or challenges faced by Japanese language teachers or instructors, when using the revised 2013 curriculum during online learning when the co-19 pandemic occurred. This research was conducted with the aim of identifying what problems teachers face while implementing the revised 2013 curriculum in schools when teaching online using the 5M scientific approach in the learning process and describing how teachers solve problems that occur in implementing the revised 2013 curriculum at the implementation of Japanese language online learning at a senior high school level. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach method, conducted with full interviews with respondents to find out firsthand the complex problems experienced in social situations that occurred when respondents were carrying out the process of learning Japanese during a pandemic. From interviews obtained data that has been processed and analyzed, and some results can be drawn that the obstacles experienced by teachers include not being able to control students directly when observing scientific approaches, problems implementing strategies to encourage students to ask questions, obstacles when associating, obstacles guiding students to analyze the data and several other obstacles which will be explained in more detail in the results and discussion chapter. The obstacles experienced by teachers in implementing high school Japanese online learning in Kab. Kuantan Singingi is a new situation for teachers. Even so, the teacher still tries to address obstacles so that the learning process continues to run well.Key Words: Challenges, 2013 Curriculum, Japanese Language Online Learning

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study was to find out how much influence interval running training had on running speed at PTPN V U-15 Perhentian Raja SSB. This research was conducted in the PTPN V U-15 Perhentian Raja SSB field, Jalan Rambutan, Senapelan District in January-May 2023. In this study, researchers used a one group pretest-posttest design. The desired data in this study were carried out two tests, namely the initial test (pre-test) before doing interval running and the final test (post-test), after doing interval running training for 16 meetings three times a week with a sample size of 21 people. . Data from each group were taken from two measurements, namely the pre-test before the treatment and the post-test after the treatment was given. This aims to obtain research data that will be processed to test the hypothesis. Based on research conducted on 21 sample people by doing a pretest (initial test) running 40 yards. Then proceed with the treatment of interval running exercises for 16 meetings, after which a post-test (40 yards run) is carried out, the results obtained from the pre-test and post-test are analyzed by t-test. The results of hypothesis testing show that the tcount is 7.364 with a ttable of 1.725, so H_0 is rejected, H_a is accepted, at the alpha (α) level of 0.05. It can be concluded that there is an effect of interval running training on running speed at SSB PTPN V U-15 Perhentian Raja.Keywords: Effect of Interval Running Training, Running Speed

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine students perception of Japanese language education study program class of 2020 and 2021 FKIP Riau University towards the use of youtube social media as a means of independent Japanese learning. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative. The sampel of this research were to students class of 2020 and 2021 totaling people and the data obnaited were 53 students, the data was obnaited through a questionnaire distributed through gform. Best on the result of research that has been conducted by researches, it is can be concluded that youtube can be used as a means of independent Japanese language learning because based on the accessibility aspect, are students can access youtube through their cellphone and laptops, then on the usability aspect, youtube provides various Japanese language learning video based learning resourch, and practicality, youtube makes it easy to find the latest information on Japanese language learning, and youtube can also be used anytime and anywhere.Keywords: Youtube Social Media, Learning Media, Japanese Language, Perception

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the content of meaning contained in the lyrics of the song Randai Rantau Kuantan. This study uses a qualitative research design with descriptive research type. The technique of collecting data for this research is downloading, listening and taking notes. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data analysis technique for this research is content analysis as follows: (1) Downloading videos from YouTube (2) Listening to song lyrics carefully (3) Translating into written form (4) Finding romance in song lyrics (5) Analyzing data according to theory (6) Summarizing data. The research data source is from the YouTube fada music record and the latest viral 2019. The results of this study indicate that the songs randai rantau kuantan Olang Binti and Sayang Den Du belong to Romanticism in the form of natural, emotional and romantic images.Keywords: Romanticism, Randai rantau kuantan, Literature.

Abstract

Abstract : This research was conducted to find out and analyze errors made by students in writing recount text. The method is qualitative descriptive. To describe the errors, the writer classified the errors based on Betty S. Azar’s classification (1989) they are singular plural, word form, word choice, verb tense, add a word, omit a word, word order, incomplete sentence, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, article, meaning not clear, and run on sentence. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Kandis, the population is the first grade students of SMAN 1 Kandis with the total 202 students and the sample was X IPA 2 with 30 students. The instrument in collecting the data were test and interview. The test was writing test in which the students were asked to make recount text based on their unforgettable experience. The texts written by students were analyzed by three raters and the result was triangulated with the result of interview with the English teacher. The interview is about what teacher gets when teaching the same or not. After that, the teacher was asked to make rank about errors from the highest to the lowest errors. The result of the research shows that the highest error is capitalization with the total 158 or 26%. And the lowest is run-on sentence with the total 7 or 1,1 %. Based on the study, students are recommended to improve their understanding about writing by strengthening their knowledge starting from pay attention to all aspects that affect writing and do more practice.Key words: Error Analysis, Recount text, Writing

Abstract

Abstract: According to Lakoff and Johnson (2003: 10-32), metaphor is something that has another meaning and its main function is to understand, in other words, metaphor is part of figurative language that compares one thing to another. Lakoff and Jhonson (1987: 453) explain image scheme is a repetitive structure in cognitive processes that forms patterns of understanding and reasoning. Since childhood, humans have begun to decompose an entity into several characteristics, then the information is stored and converted into a simple symbol. This study aims to explain the types of conceptual metaphors and image schemes contained in the song sekai no owari.The theory used is conceptual metaphor theory from Lakoff and Johnson and image schema theory from Lakoff and Johnson. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Of the 14 songs used as objects in this study, 47 were successfully analyzed and found 5 data of structural metaphors, 22 data of orientational metaphors, 11 data of ontological metaphors, and 9 data of ontological metaphors with personification subtypes.Keywords: Metafora, Skema Citra.

Abstract

Abstract: The goal to be achieved through this research is to find out the training motivation of the Masmur Sports High School men's volleyball team during the pandemic. This type of research is descriptive which aims to reveal how "Motivation for the men's volleyball team at Masmur Sports High School during a pandemic". The variables in this study were the motivation of male volleyball players at Masmur Sports High School during the pandemic as the independent variable and playing volleyball as the dependent variable. The location of this research was at the Masmur Sports High School volleyball court during the pandemic. The time of this research is planned for August 2022-February 2022. The results of a thorough data analysis on the training motivation of the Masmur Sports High School men's volleyball team show that: (1) the answers "strongly agree" with a frequency of 317 or 52.83% and an achievement score of 1485; (2) the answer "agree" with a frequency of 498 or 8% and an achievement score of 230; (3) "doubtful" answers with a frequency of 16 or 2.67% and an achievement score of 80; (4) the answer "disagree" with a frequency score of 33 or 5.5% achievement score of 115; (5) the answer "strongly disagree" with a frequency of 186 or 31% achievement score 930. Thus an achievement score of 2639 is obtained, while the most expected highest score (ideal score) is 3000. By comparing the achievement score (2639) to the ideal score ( 3000) obtained a percentage score of 88%. If the percentage of the achievement score (88%) is compromised by table 2 as a comparison criterion, it is concluded that the training motivation of the men's volleyball team at Masmur Sports High School is in the good category. Overall, the achievement level of motivation for the men's volleyball team at Masmur Sports High School was obtained from 20 respondents with 30 questions of 88%. Sudjana (1996:355) that the classification level of achievement between 80% -89% is in the good classification. This means that the training motivation for the Men's Volleyball Team at Masmur Sports High School is in the good classification. Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to find out how the perceptions of SMPS As-Shofa students on using Quizizz Application in learning English. The sample of this research was taken by using the total sampling technique that from ninth grade students of SMPS As-Shofa Pekanbaru. The number of samples was 55 students. The data was collected by using a questionnaire. There are 35 questions in total in the questionnaire, specify the type of questionnaire that will be used in this research. To be specific, the pre-defined responses that used in this research are in the type of rating scale: from strongly agree to strongly disagree, with neutral in the middle of the defined responses, although close-ended questionnaire gives limited insight and information, it still can be easily analyzed for quantitative data. The result of this research, SMPS students have the perception that Quizizz helps learn English very well, were feel easy, satisfied, motivated, indicating cognitive and affective results, are a bit challenged and practical in the process of learning English, There are some things that are unsatisfactory such as students still distracted by gadgets, still feeling afraid of English courses, and feeling a little anxious. Based on the study, students are recommended to use Quizizz in learning English in the class because it helps them to engaged in the online quiz in a convenient way in the English class.Key Words: Students’ Perception, Quizizz, Application, English Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the stages of development learning media in the form of interactive multimedia powerpoint based virtual classroom, describes the quality of learning media developed in the form interactive multimedia powerpoint and describe the validator and student responses on the use of learning media in the form of interactive multimedia powerpoint. This research is a development research (R&D) with ADDIE as the research method. Population This research is a Japanese language education student class of 2021, University of Riau. Determination sample using data analysis using a score of questionnaire sheet with a Likert scale that has been modified to 5 points. Based on this technique, obtained 37 students from batch 2021 as test subjects. Data collection technique using a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire that must be filled in by the validator and students after presenting the material on the learning media. Before being tested, the media learning through the stages of media validation and material validation by media experts and material expert. Data analysis techniques using descriptive, namely by look for the percentage of answers on the questionnaire.
