Abstract

Abstract: This descriptive research were intended to find out the ability of the second grade students of SMA PGRI PEKANBARU in writing descriptive texts. The sample of this research were 30 students that was taken by using cluster sampling. And, the data was collected by giving written test. The test was scored based on Hughes’s assessment for all writing aspects including grammar, vocabulary, mechanics, organization, and fluency. Based on the students’ score, the level ability of the second grade students of SMA PGRI PEKANBARU in writing descriptive texts is good by getting 64 at the average score. In description, there is one student (3%) who got excellent level by getting 85 score. Then, 18 students (60%) reached good level and 11 students (37%) reached mediocre level. None of students are in poor and very poor level. Moreover, the students are still lack of practiced in writing descriptive text for each writing aspects. Most of them lacked of vocabularies and fluency aspects, but they are good at organization and mechanic aspects. Therefore, the researcher concluded that the ability of the second grade students of SMA PGRI PEKANARU in writing descriptive texts is good and they need to be more practiced in writing.Keywords: Hughes’ Assessments, Descriptive Text, Students’ Writing Ability

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine whether there is influence of the participation of the members of net income of members of the Agricultural Cooperative Balam Jaya District of Bunut Pelalawan. This research was conducted at the Agricultural Cooperative Balam Jaya District of Bunut Pelalawan. When the study was conducted from December 2014 - January 2015. The population in this study were all Members of the Cooperative Agricultural Balam Jaya District of Bunut Pelalawan amounted amounted to 57 people. In this study, researchers took samples of all of the population because the population is less than 100 by using a systematic random sampling technique (systematic random sampling technique). Data processing using SPSS 17.0. Of the t-test is known t (6.157)> t table (2,004) and Sig. (0,000) <0.05. This means that the participation of members of a significant effect on SHU.Nilai R Square of 0.408. What this means is that the contribution of variables influence the participation of members of the SHU at 59.2%. While the remaining 40.8% is influenced by other variables yan not included in this study. The simple regression equation is Y = 117,130.119 + 008 X. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the effect of learning facilities , interest in learning on learning outcomes of economic subjects class XI SMA 12Pekanbaru . Learning outcomes are influenced by several learningfactors such asfacilities and interest in learning .Class XI students of SMAN 12 Pekanbaru has a population of 114 students . Based on the results of 54 samples taken randomly in mind that as many as 20 students ( 30 % ) having a very complete home study with a value of 74. The highest percentage of students who have interest in learning at home are very high as many as 17 students ( 30 % ) with The highest percentage of 51 .The primary data obtained through kuosioner about learning facilities at home and interest in learning at home while secondary data obtained from the study hasl documentation in SMA 12 Pekanbaru .The data has been collected by the authors then analyzed by regression analysis . Before the authors conducted a regression analysis , data normality test requirements . By using the One - Sample Kolmogorov - Smirnov Test - normal distribution of data known with indigo significance of learning facilities at home 0998 and 0.968 for the significant value of the interest in learning at home .There is a significant relationship between learning facilities at home and interest in learning at home together on learning outcomes .with a count of 12 809 f greater than t table at 3:18 . While partially on learning facility there is no significant influence on learning outcomes as t , t table ( 0529 < 2.00758 ) with a percentage of 0.9 % , but interest in learning affects the learning outcomes for t > t table ( 2,800 > 2.00758 ) with perentase of 25.2 % .. As for the influence of learning facilities and interest in learning on learning outcomes can be seen from the value of the R Square sebsar 33.4 % , while the remaining 66.6 % is influenced by other factors not examined in this study .Keywords : learning facilities , interest in learning , learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This classroom action research aims at finding out how effective the use of comic strips in the process of learning English. Writing is a productive skill that is important to be learned at school. Yet, in the process of teaching writing the teacher rarely use appropriate, joyful, and effective media which make the students feel bored. The teacher should use interesting media to motivate the students. Hence, using comic strips as media of teaching can help the students to generate ideas and explore language in a creative way, especially in narrative texts. This research would answer the research question which has been stated : ‘Can the use of comic strips improve the ninth grade students’ ability in writing narrative texts?’. The sample of this research was the ninth grade students of SMP YLPI Marpoyan Program Plus Pekanbaru. The participants were 25 students (IX-2). This research was conducted in two cycles which consisted of eight meetings. The data were obtained through pre-test, post-test cycle 1, post-test cycle 2, and observation sheet for the students and the teacher. The results of this research showed good improvements in terms of students’ participation in teaching and learning process and the students’ writing ability. The Pre-Test score was 47,86 increased to 57,95 in Post-Test Cycle 1 and increased to 78,39 in Post-Test Cycle 2. The students’ activities were also increased from 52,8% in cycle 1 to 85,2% in Cycle 2. In conclusion, comic strips could be used as media of teaching writing narrative texts to increased the students’ writing ability. Comic strips could help the students to generate ideas and also could motivate the students to follow the lesson.   Keywords: Comic Strips, Media, Writing, Narrative Text

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study is titled imagery in poetry collection Tuhan Kita Begitu Dekat the work of Abdul Hadi W.M. This study aimed to describe the visual imagery, to describe auditory imagery, to describe olfactory  imagery, to describe tactile imagery, to describe subjective imagery, to describe gustatory imagery, and to describe kinesthetic imagery, the method with qualitative approach. The research data are from lines in poems that contained visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile, subjective, gustatory and kinesthetic imagery. The result of the study is that there are 82 data found from 77 poems with the total number of data are 103 poems. From those data, there are visual imagery as many as 22 of 19 poems. 36 auditorory imagery data from 35 poems, 4 olfactory imagery data from 4 foems, 3 tactile imagery data from 3 poems, 4 subjective imagery data from 4 poems, 2 gustatory imagery data from 2 poems, and 11 kinesthetic imagery data from 10 poems. The dominant imagery is the visual and auditory imagery. Those imagery are capable of moving the reader’s imagination into unconsciousness area that transcends the ordinary consciousness. The feelings that are suggested in the poems are happiness, sadness and even heartache. Keywords : Imagery in poerty

Abstract

Abstract: Acronyms are one of the shortening in Indonesian  This acronym is widely used in the ILK. The use of acronyms in a comedy show is interesting. This needs to be analyzed to determine the shape, formation, function, and meaning of acronyms used in the ILK. This research is a qualitative with descriptive method. The data analyzed in this study were taken from ten videos ILK. From the analysis, it was found 75 data. 75 These data are classified by shape, formation, function, and meaning. Form of the acronym in ILK consists of forms of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences. The dominant form is the form of words total 66 acronyms. The dominant formation is the perpetuation of the various letters and syllables are difficult to formulate total 65 acronyms. The dominant function is pragmatic function total57 acronyms. The dominant meaning is the meaning of total56 acronym pragmatic. Key word: Acronym, ILK, shape, formation, function, meaning

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini berjudul Penggunaan Ejaan yang Disempurnakan dalam PP Nomor 32 Tahun 2013 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase ketepatan penggunaan huruf kapital, persentase ketepatan penggunaan tanda titik, dan persentase ketepatan penggunaan tanda koma yang terdapat dalam Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 32 Tahun 2013 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah ayat-ayat yang mengandung huruf kapital, tanda titik, dan tanda koma, yang terdapat dalam setiap pasal PP Nomor 32 Tahun 2013 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan. Hasil penelitian diketahui ketepatan penggunaan huruf kapital sebesar 57,8 %, ketepatan penggunaan tanda titik sebesar 98,2 %,  dan ketepatan penggunaan tanda koma sebesar 91,3 %. Dari ketiga penggunaan ejaan yang diteliti, ejaan yang memiliki persentase ketepatan terbesar adalah penggunaan tanda titik, yaitu sebesar 98,2 % dan yang terkecil adalah persentase ketapatan penggunaan huruf kapital, yaitu sebesar  57,8 %. Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan pendidikan karakter dalam novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam novel Ranah 3 Warna Karya Ahmad Fuadi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi yang terdiri dari 51 subbab dengan tebal 469 halaman. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis, terdapat 164 data dalam novel tersebut yang mengandung pendidikan karakter. Pendidikan karakter yang ditemui dalam novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi yaitu : (1) Religius, (2)  jujur, (3) toleransi,  (4) disiplin, (5) kerja keras, (6) kreatif, (7) mandiri, (8) demokratis, (9) rasa ingin tahu, (10) semangat kebangsaan, (11) cinta tanah air, (12) menghargai prestasi, (13)  bersahabat/komunikatif, (14) cinta damai, (15) gemar membaca,  (16) peduli lingkungan, (17) peduli sosial, dan (18) tanggung jawab.     Kata Kunci :Pendidikan Karakter

Abstract

ABSTRAK:Penelitian ini membahas tentang fonem segmental bahasa Melayu Riau dialek Pematang Selunak Indragiri Hulu. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keunikan-keunikan fonem-fonem bahasa Melayu Riau dialek Pematang Selunak Indragiri Hulu.Penelitian ini berbentuk data lisan yang bersumber pada 8 informan yang merupakan penutur asli dialek Pematang Selunak yang berusia 20-60 tahun.Data diperoleh dengan teknik wawancara, perekaman,pencatatan dan cerita, kemudian diklasifikasikan sesuai dengan aspek yang diteliti.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, bahasa Melayu Riau dialek Pematang Selunak Indragiri Hulu memiliki tiga puluh fonem segmental, yakni /a/, /i/, /u/, /e/, /ε/, /o, /b/, /c/, /d/, /g/ /h/, /j/, /k/, /l/, /m/, /n/, /s/, /p/, /r/, /t/, /y/, /w/, /z/, /R/, /?/, /ñ/, /ɳ/, /ay/, /aw/, dan /uy/.Hasil penelitian ini merupakan suatu bentuk pendokumentasian fonem-fonem yang terdapat dalam bahasa Melayu Riau dialek Pematang Selunak Indragiri Hulu.     Kata Kunci : fonem segmental dan dialek Pematang Selunak
