<![CDATA[Cloud computing is a new technology that is being hotly discussed by experts in information technology. Cloud computing technology is here to address the challenge of more efficient computing technologies. So an idea has come about to build a cloud system in the Petra Christian University’s computer laboratory. However implementing the cloud could interfere with the use of existing lab. The application aims to help the user manage the cloud system to run according to the desired schedule.The application development involved evaluation on the scheduling system, enhancement on the filter scheduler to accommodate a time schedule, and creation of the web-based user interface to manage the time schedule (in the form of a calendar).The application can restrict the OpenStack's instance deployment only on the time schedule allowed by the system administrator. In addition, the system scheduler has negligible latency (overhead), so that it will not affect the system scheduler’s performance.]]>

<![CDATA[Nowadays, in the era that technology grows rapidly, computer network is not something new to be learnt. Almost every company uses a computer network to facilitate the transfer of data and information. Internet, the huge computer network, is popular and is not a novel matter to most people. Many devices can interact with each other using internet. Computer networks themselves have components that mutually support each other, including Server and Router. An understanding of computer networks can be used to perform the analysis when there is a problem in the network.Therefore, this thesis was made with the aim of helping people to understand how a computer network works. This application is supported by the distributuin of structured subjects, making them easier to undertand. Each subject also includes images corresponding to the subject being discussed.The experimental results show that the application can work well on different Android devices. Everytime the application is started, the user needs to provide connection for the system to download data, text, and images.]]>

<![CDATA[This thesis’ goal is to let computer recognize Javanese letters. Before a computer is able to recognize Javanese letters, segmentation and feature extraction process is needed. After the features of Java letters that have been segmented obtained, then the features will be processed using computer learning method so that the computer can recognize the letters.Input is in the form of .CSV file that contains features of the Javanese document image that had previously segmented. Output text is a text file that contains unicode representation letter from Java font and a .CSV file that contains the test and data classification results. This application is created with C# programming language and Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 IDE.As for the process that is done is as follows: prepare the .CSV file resulting from the extraction of features to be used as learning materials or trainer for computer learning network. After the trainer file ready, then the network will be trained. After the training is complete, the network can receive other data input, and then classify it according to what has been learned.Probabilistic neural network and ID3 used as computer learning methods, which after data testing, it is found that PNN give higher accuracy result than ID3.]]>

<![CDATA[Mulia Kencana Motor is a motorcycle repair shop. It sells spareparts which is located in Yogyakarta. Since it has opened until present, the selling-buying process is done directly, the user come to the seller, Mulia Kencana Motor, then buys the goods or either makes an order. Mulia Kencana Motor need to have an online website that could connect both parties to sell and buy via website, therefore the range area of customer will be expanded.Through website, Mulia Kencana Motor could do an online selling and expanding the selling area to bring more customers. It also makes more convenience to the buyer, they do not have to come to Mulia Kencana Motor to find the stock, but only by searching it on the website. Based on the result of the observatuin, website enables the customer to do goods tracking, online buying, checking the shipping cost by JNE service. With the results of a questionnaire conducted by 76,5 % getting results we can conclude that it is feasible to use the website Kencana Mulia Motor]]>

<![CDATA[At the moment, the Informatics Engineering Program needs a system that can manage an online registration, which can help in controlling the lecturers' schedules and also a better way for theses' title search. One problem that this department has, is in the system that controls the lecturers' teaching quota that is currently having an issue. The issue is the fact that a lecturer could teach way more than the quota and vice versa. The process of scheduling and checking of the lecturers' schedules for the theses' proposal and theses' defense is also a problem that raises in this department. However, the quota setting in this application will certainly could give an answer for both the lecturers and the students, since it will help making an equal division of the students' quantity for each lecturer. Moreover, the application also offers a better way for theses' title search in the sense that it makes the students easier to trace the previous theses' titles that already existed and avoid any overlapping titles in the future. This theses' title search feature uses SOLR technology to do a searching process that is counted based on the basic words from every searched word. The whole process in making this application is basically using yii framework and the database is using postgresql. Based on the testing result, this application succeeding to run smoothly. For additional thing in the future, this application can be added with a feature to check the theses' titles that can no longer be used (already been used) and some title suggestions that are available (never been used yet).]]>

<![CDATA[Nowadays, technology is growing rapidly and becoming more sophisticated, especially communications technology. Information can be deployed without having to meet each other. No doubt that any confidential information sent over the Internet. Through various types of information is developing techniques for damage or maintaining the security of the dissemination of information on the internet.Securing data by using cryptography is needed for sending confidential data so that not everyone can access it. Process undertaken in this study is encrypted messages with MARS method. Input in an application that is designed in the form of plaintext messages or files to be encrypted, then the key to encrypt the message. This application is made with the Java programming language using NetBeans IDE 7.4.The test results indicate that the encryption with MARS method can be performed on any type of file (example: text file, song or audio file, video file or movie, etc.). Files can be decrypted back to normal if the password is the same as the password for the encryption.]]>

<![CDATA[Established on July 10, 1991 in Sidoarjo, East Java, PT X is a company engaged in the field of general printing, especially printing commercial documents. In carrying out its business processes, the company is using software, hardware, network, and machines used for the production process. But the company was less concerned about security for asset and data owned companies. Though the data and information are now becoming a very important asset. Thus the required audit information system that aims to analyze the extent to which extent the company's information system security.This thesis analyzed informationsystem security audit of IT in PT. X. The steps in the audit analysis is by using COBIT 4.1 standards. Problems were found in the company of, among others, there is no assignment letter given to employees of IT in PT X, no monthly report on IT security made by the IT division of PT X, there is no IT security standards as the reference in the company, not using cryptographic key features implemented in protecting data and information.The response given to the company that the company should make a task and make monthly reports on IT security. Soon also to make IT security standards and create cryptographic keys for protecting and and information held by company.In this study discusses one domain that Deliver and Support of 4 domain in COBIT the discussion is limited to Ensure systems security (DS5).]]>

<![CDATA[Distributed and parallel applications are growing rapidly in this modern era, and so are the needs for more compute resources. The emerging solution to meet these needs is cloud system. Cloud is a collection of computers working together as a unified system. The cloud system provides compute resources to users.One type of cloud is private cloud. Private cloud has restricted users, who work in the same environment or company. As needed, the deployed cloud service is an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), where users can request for certain computer specifications with a specific operating system.Computer laboratories in Petra Christian University have computer resources with sufficient specifications that can be utilized to implement a private cloud. The laboratories are not always used for learning classes, thus their resource usage is not optimal. Therefore, implementation of the private cloud is carried out at one of the computer laboratories.OpenStack cloud framework was used for the implementation. Evaluation was done by measuring the performance of the virtual instances and comparing it to that of the physical hosts. The results were used to further determine the benefits offered by the private cloud.]]>

<![CDATA[Development and competition in the University of Indonesia is extremely tight. Petra Christian University is also the University's long-standing and well known to many people in Indonesia. Prospective students would like to see more clearly the form and facilities owned by the University. The difficulties that exist in prospective students who reside outside the island, as it requires large transportation costs if you want to visit Petra Christian University. Based on thisproblem, so in this study will be the creation of applications. This application aims to facilitate students who saw virtually Petra Christian University. Results in this application, the position and shape of the object on the building resembles the original state that existed at Petra Christian University.Barriers time of making a major factor, so it cannot make the building more in detail. The whole room labs and classrooms on the 2nd floor of the building and lecturer room in the 3rd floor already done, there are only a few sections still proceed example at the laboratory assistant room, and a small part.Disadvantages of this application, requires a computer specification high enough to run the application. This is because the memory is generated in this application can be fairly large.]]>
