Abstract

This paper anlayze PT X warehouse system since some problems that are faced by the company such as full capacity warehouse, the absence of a inventory control system, and bad facility layout. The full capacity warehouse problem is solved by using capacity analysis, repayment of raw material analysis, and selling the clothes waste. The improvement of inventory control system is conducted by comparing periodic review system and economic order quantity, while for the raw materials placement problem is solved by grouping the raw material. A periodic review system is simulated to know the number of raw material savings. The simulation result shows that the number of the raw materials can be reduced as much as 7 percent, while the new raw material placement save 42 percent of traveling distance.

Abstract

PT.Y is a company that produce cigarette. Currently PT.Y wants to revise the spare part receiving system that was applied. Spare part receiving process first start at main store, then will be delivered to sub store. The improvement that wants to be applied is to eliminate the main store, so that spare part can be delivered directly to warehouse sub store. By portraying the current process using value stream mapping, two waste could be eliminated if warehouse main store role is erased. Unnecessary transportation and over processing is the occurring waste in these process. The proposed counter measure is to change all store location for all material in the data base so that when PR was created the store location will automatically determine the real receiving warehouse. The proposed counter measure can shorten the processing time by 16.918,91 second per day. Counter measure can also decrease transportation fees by Rp.6.140,00 per day.

Abstract

PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Balaraja is a company in feed production. One of the ways for PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia maintaining their feed quality is through documentation of all activity that related with production in procedure. The last update of procedures was in 2008, so some procedures are no longer applicable in company’s current condition. So that, the procedures must be updated and those procedures can be used as work guidance and work standard. Total of 8 procedures, 34 work instructions, 14 forms, 10 appendixes in Production Department and 13 procedures, 109 work instructions, 31 forms, 7 appendixes in QSHE Department, which had been revised.

Abstract

Designing the document and system is an initial step to fulfill the requirement of ISO 9001: 2015. The fulfillment of the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 starts with conducting a gap analysis between documents or systems required by ISO 9001: 2015 with existing documents or systems at PT Wellgan Gemilang. These preliminary findings resulted an initial gap of 26.06%. The fulfillment of the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 is done by designing documents and system, begins with conducting strengths and weaknesses (SWOT) analysis of the company, business processes mapping, setting the vision, mission and quality policy, determining quality objectives, organizational structure and job analysis (Job Description) as well as competency matrix, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Work Instruction (WI) for each process in business process and risk analysis for each department and quality objective. Design of document and quality management system ISO 9001: 2015 that has been done reflects the fulfillment of requirement increase from 26.06% to 61.97%.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the location of potential aid depot at the time of the annual flood disasters in Gresik Regency. Determination of the location of potential aid depot is applied using mathematical models and involving BPBD of East Java and BPBD Gresik. Linear programming is applied and solved using solver excel software. The constraint of this mathematical model made are time constraint, the number of vehicles, dan the amount of potential aid depot. The function of the purpose of mathematical model is abaout handling maximize the number of victims dan minimized the total time of delivery relief. The result of research shows that to determine the location of potential assistance or post depot influenced by some obstacle that is the time constraint, the number of vehicles, and the objective function.

Abstract

HRD business plan consists of 5 stages, which are plan, acquiring, develop, maintain, and retain that can be done using HRIS program. The HRIS that is being used right now can only cover plan and maintain stages, therefore an upgrade to a new system is needed. The upgrading process of HRIS is using mapping business process in a form of procedural documents. A further analysis is needed because the differences oc­cured between the actual processes and the procedural documents. 8 out of 9 proce­dures documents are found to be different than the actual process and has been repaired. The selection of HRIS supplier is needed in order to improvise the new system. Currently, the suppliers’ selection processes take a long time and inefficient. Therefore, an im­provement in suppliers’ selection is needed . AHP methods is used to analyze the top priority criterions for choosing the supplier. In the suppliers’ selection, the working ex­periences in HRIS in term of time and area are chosen to be the top criterion and sub­criterion respectively. Labor efficiency for segment 1160 production line data is used to find the linkage between the data and HRD business plan. 66 out of 142 problems are identified caused by human error and used as guideline for the further analysis. AHP method is used to find the top priority criterion and subcriterion in selecting the best applicant for production operator. Attitude criterion and cautioness subcriterion are cho­sen the be the top priority criterion and subcriterion repectively.

Abstract

In nowadays, PT. Ecogreen Oleochemicals Batam requires an effective and efficient recruitment system to select new employees. The existing recruitment system does not yet have a test that can measure the ability of prospective employees. This company planned to acquire an additional process in the system of recruitment of employees, namely General Aptitude Test (GAT). General aptitude Test have 2 types of test for level Supervisor and Rank and File. The Supervisor has 5 types of test such as Sequences, Perceptual, Analysis, Number Skills and Dynamics. Rank and File have 3 types of tests which are Perceptual, Analysis and Number Skills. The test results obtained by testing the lowest average value was 32.9 then set for a minimum of 30 passing for all types of tests. Only dynamics test that has a correlation between GAT and Performance values.

Abstract

Existing problems at PT. FSCM Manufacturing Indonesia’s finished goods warehouse are the goods flow is not FIFO and insufficient capacity. Improvement will be conducted in both Plant II and Plant III PT. FSCM Manufacturing Indonesia. The current layout in both warehouse used block stacking method. The suggested design included change the storing method into pallet flow, change the layout, design a control board and work instruction. Pallet flow method will be applied by using roller conveyor. The design will make the goods flow FIFO and the PC Store can store all the goods.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is an international company that moves in production. PT. XYZ main production is footwear. Footwear that PT. XYZ produce is divided into two, which is shoes and sandals. In producing its footwear, PT. XYZ uses make to stock system. PT. XYZ main area production is divided into three area, shoes production area, upper production area, and component production area. Improvement is only applied on component area, using Left and Right Hand Diagram and analyzing items placement on work station. Analysis was conducted to get a better proposal of better Left and Right Hand Diagram, and  better items placement on work station. Measurements resulted a reduction in component area cycle time of 1.64 minutes or 98.4 second.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the weakness of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system on line assembly, so that it can be fixed properly. TPM system that has been fixed is expected to reduce downtime on line assembly at PT. XYZ. The TPM system will be evaluated both technically and practically. Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) will be used to evaluate the TPM system from a technical point of view, while the fishbone diagram will evaluate it from a practical point of view. Evaluation results will be used to create the new TPM system. Check points that are important but not available yet in the current TPM system will be added. Complaints of worker who related to TPM are also evaluated one by one. Implementation of the new TPM system shows that there is a significant decrease in downtime ratio from 13.08% to 5.74%.
