Abstract

Abstract: PT Injaplast is a manufacturing company that produces a plastic sacks (plastic woven bags,) which is located in Jl. Margomulyo No. 35, Surabaya. PT Injaplast currently doesn’t have a Occupational Safety and Health, so that the work accident still quite high. It can be seen from the company’s work accident data, which in 2013 and 2014 there are 12 minor accidents and 3 major accidents that occurred. The high rate of work accident can be minimized through the preparation of hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control document (HIRARC). HIRARC can support the successful implemetation of K3. The purpose of HIRARC is to detect hazard exist, risk assessment, and making control to minimize the potential risk. The results of HIRARC document preparation shows that there are still many activities that endagers worker. There are 43% activities are classified as moderate risk and 15% as high risk. That risk level must be solved by making a risk control. The suggestion on risk control are giving a personal protective equipment, give safety sign (administrative control), add equipment (engineering control), and replace a personal protective equipment and tools (substitution). The estimation of decreased risk rating possibility that expected later will be created based on risk controls that have been given. The estimation of decreased risk rating possibility when the controlling risk executed is the risk with moderate category which originally was 43% decrease to 11% while the high category are initially 15% decrease to 3%.

Abstract

UD. Wirakarya merupakan perusahaan dagang yang bergerak dibidang penjualan besi, barang yang dijual meliputi besi konstruksi, pipa besi, dan plat besi. Seiring perkembangan jaman dan berkembangnya pasar di sektor konstruksi yang tidak diimbangi dengan adanya tempat dan sistem yang memadai untuk penyimpanan barang. Keadaan tersebut menyebabkan kerugian bagi perusahaan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perusahaan akan membuat gudang baru untuk tempat penyimpanan dan perbaikan sistem manajemen pergudangan.Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan klasifikasi ABC, periodic review, safety stock, maximum   inventory, dan tata letak.Hasil yang diperoleh pada skripsi ini adalah jumlah kapasitas penyimpanan yang meningkat, penurunan biaya persediaan sebesar 9%, tata letak untuk gudang baru, sistem penerimaan dan pengeluaran barang di gudang baru.

Abstract

Ecogreen Oleochemicals Batam (EOB) Company is an oleochemical producing company which has been established since 1994. EOB Company has been providing a lot of trainings for each of their employee in order to improve the human resources quality, but the trainings given have not had a standard yet. At this time request for training filed by any user of departments and sections in the company and that make the resulted in training to be ovserlapping and not classifiable well. EOB Company has attempted to make a standard training by accommodating the organization needs, the job needs, and the personal needs, especially in Manufacturing Division. All of the requirement trainings that has been collected, was classified into three categories, which are basic training, development training, and additional training. The number of training which have Training Unit are 89 and divided based on six type of training. In the end, the result could bring benefits for the company, such as setting a standard training for the employees, making the training structure more systematic, and enabling the company to focus more on training needs for the employees.

Abstract

PT XYZ is having difficulty in giving the exact completion time. Sales department always says that the order will be finished in eleven working days. Because the promised processing time always constant, 22.27% of the orders between June 2014 and November 2014 are late. Therefore, the aim of this research is to produce a system for production planning and inventory control, so that the company can estimate completion time accurately. The improvement is the company must estimating completion time before determining processing time in the sales order. Therefore, a detailed production schedule that can be accessed by sales department is needed. Scheduling is created by using the first come first served method, and paying attention to the raw materials availability. The lot size for ordering raw materials is determined by using fixed order quantity method. Production report is created more detail by reporting the actual production daily. The implementation of the improvements can reduce order fulfillment delays, because the processing time in sales order is determined by considering the remaining capacity. The scheduling is made based on the actual condition, therefore can be used to estimate the remaining capacity. The production report can also be used to check whether an order is produced according to the schedule or not.

Abstract

For a university, promotional activities to introduce study programs at the university to high school students are one way to get new students. This private university in Surabaya (USS) was also done. Providing information about USS was conducted in high schools, both on Java and outside Java, through educational exhibitions. USS Public Relations requires a team or division that handles this. At present, the promotion division is carried out by the public relations department. Public Relations formed a team consisting of several lecturer staff and students who will be assigned to the intended places. Activities to be carried out are recorded in a financial report that is not connected to the database. The problem is that there is no database used so the report is done manually and takes a long time. The current report only records the amount of expenditure without providing any other information and the preparation of the financial statements while running is still not neat. The database helps PR in preparing financial reports so they do not work several times in compiling reports that are certain and save the time needed. The system will also be able to visualize data from the financial statements in showing the magnitude of the costs incurred by public relations in promotional activities carried out based on each school.

Abstract

Line Cu process flow have buildup of output in some operations because the amount of labor and line balance is not optimal. Existing problems require working observations to make suitable improvement designs. Observations were made by measuring directly using the stopwatch method. Observation results are used to determine the amount of labor and the optimal division of work stations with line balancing method. The improvement that writer propose is changing the number of workers and stations. Number of workers from improvement is 12 people and 6 stations from 7 stations. Reduced number of stations came from combined of 2 stations, which is washing and testing process. The result of writer’s improvement is reduced labor cost for one coil and increased number of outputs.

Abstract

Pisang Mas (Musa acuminata colla) is one of important commodities in East Java. Previous study showed that there are two different supply chain models at Lumajang and at Malang. In these paper, we combine different supply chain models and considers the effect of price on customer demand. This model is simulated using Vensim PLE software. The result shows that demand is affected by price change. This model is sensitive to price with percentage of 12,4% in retail and 13,04% in traditional market.

Abstract

This study was conducted to implement the KPI and design e-KPI system at PT. XYZ. KPIs are implemented using the basic four perspectives based on the Balanced Scorecard. The initial condition, the company has KPI for two divisions from six divisions and also the absence of a system of e-KPI. The result shows that six divisions have implemented KPI and e-KPI system has been designed at PT. XYZ. KPI will be assessed for performance appraisal on PT. XYZ for a period of time to come. e-KPI system provides the facility to the management to access KPI of division/department anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

PT. X merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pembuatan keramik. Target kualitas keramik yang diharapkan PT. X adalah 95% pada produk kualitas A, namun saat ini pengendalian kualitas di lapangan hanya mencapai 92,8%. Peningkatan target kualitas A dapat ditingkatkan dengan mengevaluasi apakah pelaksanaan sistem pengendalian kualitas telah dilakukan dengan benar. Upaya yang dilakukan dalam pencapaian target produk kualitas A adalah dengan cara memperhatikan faktor – faktor yang berpengaruh di setiap proses produksi seperti kondisi mesin, penyetelan temperatur, dan ketepatan waktu proses. Inspeksi sampel dilakukan dengan membandingkan standar pengendalian kualitas yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan dengan fakta yang terjadi di lantai produksi. Hasil dari penelitian adalah dengan membuat sistem pengendalian proses yang menitik beratkan pada tahap – tahap produksi di setiap mesin, serta diberikan usulan perbaikan terhadap pengambilan sampel pada setiap inspeksi yang dilakukan. Perbaikan sampel dilakukan dengan mengubah waktu, jumlah dan kriteria penolakan sampel.

Abstract

CV. Sarana Graha Lestari is a company that distribute aluminium since 1991. CV. Sarana Graha Lestari problem about inventory arrangement in their warehouse therefore, the warehouse condition become messy and difficult for workers to takes materials. CV. Sarana Graha Lestari want to make an effective and efficient warehouse placement that make workers easier to search and takes materials. Two algorithm are introduced to arrange the layout. The first layout algorithm based on Stock Keeping Unit (SKU), the other based on groups of SKU. The result show that layout arrangement based on group of SKU has less moment and easier to search materials.
