Abstract

PT. X is a PVC pipe factory that esthablised since 31st August 2013. PT. X not yet has standart for all it’s process, and supporting Department is one part of the company.ISO 9001:2008 is chosen to be applied as standard in Supporting Department. Initial mapping show that current condition of the company still 36,4% match to ISO 9001:2008 requirement.Step for Designing ISO 9001:2008 is preparation step, initial mapping, documentation step, and final mapping. Comparison result between initial mapping and final mapping show match’s escalation as much as 34% from 36,4% to 70,5%

Abstract

Production planning, capacity determination and objective value on CV. X only refers to one particular process. The planning method currently used by the company is considered less effective in achieving the company's objective. The purpose of this research is to create a plan that can maximize the achievement of production output by considering production capacity. Based on demand of the past one year, forecast demand for the next three periods conducted, which is June, July and August in 2017. Demand forecast will be used as an input in the preparation of production planning. The method used in this research is aggregate planning. The aggregate planning results are then disaggregated to determine the number of nail for each size that need to be produced and raw material needed in each period.

Abstract

PT. X provides training programs to improve performance of its employees, that implemented by the Technical Training Department. One of the things that support the training program is the training module. Primary Processing training modules are not appropriate anymore with the current situation, therefore the improvements are needed. Training module at Primary Processing, a total of 13 modules are improved based on Best Training Practice (BTP) method. The results of these training module improvements are expected to help the implementation of the training program, so it can be effective and efficient training.

Abstract

IMM department is the business core of PT. X, it was noticed that there were many reject products passed to the next department and to the customer. Internal Block Belt data is data flowout to internal customer in 2015 which showed that reject flowout was still higher than the target (3%). Therefore, the company wants to identify the cause of flowout reject and what improvements can be applied to reduce it. The root cause of flowout reject is found out using fishbone diagram and priorities determination is using FMEA. The root cause of reject flowout is because of too much workload to be completed by the QC inspector. Suggestions given are the changes of form Inspection Report and additions of 1 QC inspector.

Abstract

A strategic work performance measurement is required by corporation to observe their work performance. Work performance measurement is necessary to ensure if the corporate and departement’s work performance fits with the vision and objective of the corporation. PT.X is a box package manufacturing corporation and still not establish a structured and strategic work performance measurement system. Design of the work performance measurement is applied by using Balanced Scorecard and Key Performance Indicator. Design of Balanced Scorecard is started by creating the strategy map to represent the cause effect relationship of the corporate and department’s strategic objectives. After creating the strategy map, designing process of the Balance Scorecard is continued with describing the strategic objectives. All strategic objectives are described by setting the Key Performance Indicator and other components according to Balanced Scorecard’s draft. Result of the design will be implemented for 1 measurement period to review the work performance achievement.

Abstract

A pantry is one of the facilities provided by PT.”X” to its employee. There are facilities from the pantry that given to the employee, such as drink corner, a place for storing pantry supplies (sugar, coffee, tea, etc.) and pantry equipment (spoon, cup, glass, etc.) and also a place for cleaning the pantry equipment. There are three processes in the pantry facility, which are the process of ordering pantry supplies, taking pantry supplies and handling complaints on the pantry.  Each process is still run according to each location because there is still no standard operating procedure that makes between location has difference implementation. As a result, there appears ineffective work in all four locations. An ineffective way of working, make waste in some of the implementation processes on the pantry. There are two kinds of waste found in the pantry facility, which is waste of motion that occurs when the pantry executor will record in a certain item of pantry supplies and a waste of waiting that occurs when the admin of stock pantry inventory in all buildings.  SOP is required in every process on the pantry for all locations and also made to schedule cleaning pantry equipment. In this Final Project, the proposed given, either changes the method used for running the taking stock into the system, which is barcode system, or the addition of books that are used to record the borrowing. SOP is created by using the template of company. The result of designing the SOP, verified by the Office Service Manager and used as a reference in implementing every process on the pantry and providing improvements to the tools/methods used for performing the process on the pantry.

Abstract

In this paper, we diagnosis the quality management system of ISO 9001: 2008’s clauses, particulary on PPIC and Production Department. We analyze the differences between the number of clauses which are not yet adopted before and after design the quality dokumen for the implementation of quality management system ISO 9001: 2008. The number of clauses after design the quality document which are not yet adopted decrease, i.e. 0% of quality management system’s clause, 24% of management responsibility’s clause, 3% of product realization’s clause, and 46% of measurement, analysis and improvement’s clause.

Abstract

PT. X adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang kemasan kosmetik yang terletak di Surabaya. Dengan  meningkatnya  persaingan  dalam  dunia  industri  yang  semakin sengit maka perusahaan dituntut untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan membuat efisiensi disegala bagian..Metode   SMED (Single Minute of Exchange Dies) merupakan salah satu metode yang dianggap dapat meningkatkan produktivitas perusahaan. Metode ini dianggap sebagai salah satu solusi yang digunakan untuk mereduksi waktu setup mesin. Penerapan metode SMED ini telah terbukti dapat menurunkan waktu setup. mengefesinkan waktu produksi, menurunkan ongkos produksi dan meminimalkan terjadinya kesalahan dalam melakukan setup mesin.              Dalam hal ini untuk mengatasi masalah yang ada, maka diberikan usulan perbaikan. Usulan perbaikan yang dilakukan adalah mengidentifikasi dan menggurangi aktivitas yang seharusnya bisa dilakukan diluar setup time (aktivivitas eksternal), sehingga hal ini mampu mengurangi waktu setup yang sebelumnya mencapai ±5 jam menjadi ±2 jam.

Abstract

The Inventory Routing Problem (IRP) has become a problem that thoroughly studied recently. One of the IRP models that have been developed was an IRP multi-tour, which described a single distribution center r with a set of salespoints. The salespoints is served by a limited number of vehicles with finite load capacities. Vehicle will replenish the salespoints by making a multi-tour route. Each multi-tour consists of a set of sub-tour involving salespoints to be replenished. The multi-tour solution has increase the complexity of the model compared to the normal tour IRP model. Therefore a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm has been proposed for solving a sequential problem in allocating salespoints to the route. Some heuristic methods also been developed for creating the multi-tour. The validity of the algorithm, along with comparison with other existing algorithm, has been provided to validate the proposed PSO algorithm. Result obtained has shown that the PSO algorithm having a promising performance in solving the problem.

Abstract

Production scheduling in a manufacturing company is an important point to control the production process movements. PT. XYZ doesn’t have a scheduling system which fit for their daily production process. This research intends to make a production scheduling system which fit for PT. XYZ. Production scheduling is useful for minimizing delays in delivery as a result of delays in the production process. Scheduling method used in this study is earliest due date method. Earliest due date method is chosen in aim to minimize the maximum tardiness which happened in a project. Scheduling system was made starting from the making of the schedule up to controlling process of the schedule.
