Abstract

This design aims to improve the PPIC department's work procedures (SOP) at PT X so that it will produce a draft of the PPIC department's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Existing SOPs need improvement and simplification. The improvement and simplification of this SOP is done because the current SOPs still do not cover the optimal use of SAP software. The stages of improving work procedures are carried out by taking data in the form of studying the current SOP, observing the work activities of PPIC department staff at PT X, and interviews and discussions with PPIC department manager at PT X. Next is processing data in the form of tables and analysis of existing SOPs. Next is the making of an SOP improvement plan, making work instructions to support the SOP improvement plan, and preparing supporting data for the use of SAP software. The final result in this design is to produce a design to improve the PPIC department's standard operating procedure at PT X, the supporting work instructions for the SOP that have been made, and the presentation of supporting data to run the procedure with the help of SAP software.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design packing standard process and processing time in PT X. The standard process and processing time is needed because at this time PT X does not have standard process and processing time especially in packing KPA 148. With having the standard process and processing time, it is expected to give quality assurance for the process. The standard of design process and process time is done by conducting experiments based on data making of other type A packing (KPA043) in each process. The results of the recommended experiments will be written into Work Instruction (WI) and then implemented. The results obtained in the form of standard and processing time where the milling process has a standard time of 750 seconds, the cutting length process has a standard 9.2 - 10.8 mm and standard on hotpress process using temperature 147 - 153oC for 200 seconds for packing KPA 148.

Abstract

CV. Roda Lintas Khatulistiwa is a subsidiary of PT. Insera Sena to handle for retail and distribute accessoris, supplies, and bicycle part. CV. Roda Lintas Khatulistiwa has parts, appareal and accessories department(PAA) to handle distribution of goods to all retailers. Goods are handled PAA department can be classified into 4 types, plastic, cardboard, staples packing products, and non-packing. Problems that occur in PAA department is the overtime with an average of 27.5 hours per month. Calculation of standard time taken to obtain a production capacity of PAA department. The capacity results compared to actual production PAA department and it is known that the capacity is smaller than the number of actual production, so it is necessary to increase production capacity. Efforts are being made, like the analysis of motion studies to reduce cycle time with the help of two hands process chart, the replacement of certain kinds of packing items, and eliminate the barcoding process for non-packing product improvement effort is shown to lead to total savings of approximately 13 working days 20 hours 8 minutes 47 seconds.

Abstract

UD. X is a company engaged in the business of selling bike, child equipment, and toys in Banjarmasin, South Borneo. UD. X is only able to meet 70% to 80% of consumer demand. Overstock and understock often occurs due to ordering by estimates based on experience. The procurement policy that is used is Periodic Review Policy that consists of S,T Policy, and s,S Policy. The service level used in this policies is 99,99%. All policies will be simulated and compared with the current policy. The simulation is run for 5 products. Simulation result shows that in comparison with the current policy, s,S Policy can decrease the cost for all products while S,T Policy can only decrease the cost of three products. The result of 5 years simulation for the two policies shows that s,S policies is better than S,T Policy for two products, but not significantly different for the other products. This result shows that in the long run s,S Policy can be better than S,T Policy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the amount of workload so that the company can determine the amount of workers that are needed to complete the customer’s demand on time. The method used is compare workload using work time based on the company’s cycle time formula, calculated standard time, and real time. Calculation of the number workers needed by using work time from the cycle time formula and standard time is then carried out and compared with the actual conditions to find the difference. Worker efficiency calculation are also carried out to see how efficient workers are from October to December 2018. The result shows that workload calculated using cycle time formula is very low compared with using real time, so also when compared to using standard time. Process time from cycle time formula needs to be improved because it does not take into account the number of workers needed to complete the work and there are other problems too. Calculation of worker efficiency shows that the worker’s efficiency is quite low, the highest efficiency is 66.17% from coil assembly position in December. Proposes improvements are how to calculate the number of workers needed and work hours needed, as well as the calculation of non value added time to be given to process time from cycle time formula for processes that are needed but non value added and allowances for workers.
