Abstract

This company is a well-known non-stick cookwares manufacturer company for Indonesia and abroad. This thesis is subjected to how improvement plan Safety and Healthy Work Management System in company is suitable based on government criterion. The Safety and Healthy Work Management System verification is based on percentage of criterion by government. The percentage of suitable Safety and Healthy Work activities activities is 68,9%, that means company obedience level on government criterion is good. The Safety and Healthy Work Management System also has maturity level of implementation system. As the company is with intermediate risk, the percentage of maturity level is 91,80% from 122 criterias. Improvement suggestion is prospected to improve Safety and Healthy Work Management System implementation in company which later can be occur if there are any commitment and responsibility between top management and workers.

Abstract

Overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) is a performance measurement tool that can measure the production losses and identify improvement potential. PT Astra Otoparts Tbk. Adiwira Plastics Division (PT AO AWP) is a manufacturing company of automotive components made from plastic which always perform continuous improvement to increase productivity. The problem is the lack of OEE calculation standar prosedure for family mold usage in plastic injection machines. The other problem is the production data on the web which used to measure the performance of the production process can not show the actual condition of plastic injection machine. The cause of this problem are database system, shot per hour (SPH) system updates, and admin errors in data input. Error in production data can lead to errors in performance calculation result of production process as well as errors in set improvement point analysis. The OEE calculation result using production data from Laporan Hasil Produksi is 86%. the result of this calculation is analyzed to obtain the most influential factor and get the root causes for the decisions of improvement.

Abstract

The research was conducted to identify waste in preparation department. Those waste are identified during define, measure, and analyze phase in DMAIC. The identification process is based on eight waste principle. The identified waste ae defect, delay, non-utilized talent, inventory, and overprocessing. Improvement idea is suggested to the company in order to reduce those waste. The result shows that the improvement ideas can reduce 64,01% of warping’s preparation time and 28% warping’s process time. The improvement idea also reduce 3,6% of dyeing sizing’s preparation time and 47,3% of dyeing sizing’s process time.

Abstract

PT. X has already own Career Development System (CDS) as one of the guidelines for employees to develop in incumbent positions, but the use of CDS is not maximal, because CDS is too general and less describe about real job of the employee. Therefore, Career Development Tools (CDT) was invented, which is CDT has three outputs, development plan, evaluation form, and career path. As a first step, CDT is made for HR Department Personalia and Payroll. CDT helps employee to develop with guideline based on real job daily activities (development plan), helps evaluate employee (evaluation form), and provide general career lattice for employee (career path).

Abstract

X University has many high rise buildings and laboratories. These buildings and facilities can cause work accidents. Hazard Identification is the first step required to be submitted to all related parties as inputs for building management and laboratory. Hazard Identification steps are required to be submitted to all related parties as inputs for building management and laboratory. This hazard identification is based on the OHSAS 18001: 2007 (point 4.3.1). Potential unsafe condition obtained at the identification stage consist of the potential hazard types of fall at ground level, struck against, struck by, electrical contact, burn, fall from above, and caught in. Potential unhealthy conditions obtained at the identification stage found potential biological, chemical, and physical health problems. It was also obtained the potential danger of damaged documents and damaged assets.

Abstract

PT. X is an international manufacturing company. In October 2015, the work system at Human Resource Department (HRD) PT X has been changed. There are two new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as the impact of the changes. One of the new indicators is timeliness, which must be achieved by the specialist team at HRD. The target of timeliness indicator is 97% while the average achievement is still about 62.6%. This research aims is increasing the achievement of timeliness indicator. There are two suggestions that have been made. They are providing a reminder tool for specialist team and changing specialist team’s work system. Reminder tool is useful as a job reminder for specialist team. Specialist work system is changed by dividing the role of each specialist based on the type of existing processes, so specialist will be more focus with their task. The reminder tool has been implemented for three months, and as a result the timeliness indicator achievement is increase to 93%.

Abstract

PT Prima Waru Industry is a company that produce nails. This research was intended to help the company to set the maintenance. The company does not have a schedule for engine maintenance. The maintenance system that applied in this company was preventive maintenance. When the machines are damage, it will decrease the production and turned the engines off. The effectiveness value of the engines were calculated by OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). While, the causes of decreasing effectiveness were calculated by six big losses. The OEE values of the engine is 69.05% where it is below the ideal standard of OEE. The purpose of this research is scheduling the engine maintenance. Treatment schedule made into 3 types of time ie 2 weeks, 1 month, and 2 months. Which use to predict the damage before it happened. This schedule also use to anticipate if there is no available spare parts.

Abstract

Problem were found in a uniform warehouse in PT. XYZ are about uniform storage and overstock. This thesis give proposal to decrease uniform inventory cost and rearrange uniform warehouse. Propose for improvement which is given are uniform warehouse guideline with Kaizen concept, determine maximum inventory with Periodic Review, and guideline of uniform database. With Periodic Review’s method, the company can decrease percentage of stockout. Percentage of stockout is 3%.

Abstract

PT. Samando is a company engaged in the distribution of machinery and machinery parts as well as the propulsion machinery and agricultural equipment as well as fishing boats are located in the city of Surabaya. The focus of the research is part of packaging increase labor productivity. The background of this problem is the irregular work area as well as the placement of the facilities are not suitable causing labor productivity minimum. This study uses the principles of 5S implemented in the work area of packaging. The results of this research are becoming more organized work area, placement of appropriate facilities, and access in and out of raw materials and finished more smoothly. This resulted in an increase in labor productivity in PT. Samando.

Abstract

Key Account Management is one of the departments owned by PT. X, whichserves as a customs broker specifically to handle VIP Customers. This research wascarried out to assist the KAM department in finding activities that could potentiallyhamper the smooth operation of the administrative import process, which could have animpact on reducing VIP Customer satisfaction. Risk analysis was carried out on all importprocesses starting from the PO Management, Import and the operational team, to theFiling division. Risk analysis is carried out using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis(FMEA) method, and the 5 whys analysis method to find the root cause of failure of therisk findings. The results of the risk analysis show there are 64 risk findings from theentire administrative process of import. 33 risk findings in between, with a total of 25process activities, classified as priority categories and must be immediately followed up.Over all, the recommended actions for risk analysis’ result are making dashboards formonitoring shipments, training/workshops, evaluating work results, and makingstandardized documents such as procedures, work instructions, and way references.
