Abstract

Vibes Media Group is a promotion service company that wants to increase Brand Awareness by specializing one of it’s service. The company provides several services provided such as branding agencies, Instagram management, YouTube management, event documentation, on-demand filmmaking, and website creation. This research is intended to determine which services will be the specialty of Vibes Media Group in order to increase brand awareness. The model calculation is done by taking questionnaire data from the Vibes Media Group team. Decision-making is done using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method with the help of super decisions application. The Analytical Hierarchy Process is a method for making decisions with many supporting criteria. Several criteria are compared with each other based on their level of importance. The results of the analysis show that Branding Agency is the right choice to specialize as a Vibes Media Group service by considering Exposure, Fee Amount, Networking Potential, Contract Period, and Work Complexity.

Abstract

This research has done at a manufacture company engaged in consumer good with many various product, one of there is mosquito coils. The mosquito coils have a variety of brand depending on concerned country. In the production process, often happen non-value added activity, especially on the production line number 5 which is used as a object of observation. This happen because the company doesn’t have standard operating procedure (SOP) for overall and work instruction (WI) for each process. This problem can be solved using SOP design for the overall production process and WI for each process that contained in the SOP. SOP and WI are re-designed with hope can help company in reducing the number of non-value added activities like rewrapping process, repacking process, and resealing master carton process. Reduction of non value added activity can help the companies to reduce waste from repetitive process like overproduction, overprocessing, inventory, motion, waiting, defects, and transportations.

Abstract

This final project is done to design a Production Planning and Inventory Control system (PPIC) system for Bed Sheet X company. Currently, Bed Sheet X company does not have yet a PPIC system. Company is produced the products only to fulfill their maximum stock.  The design of the PPIC system in this final project includes forecasting, designing Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirment Planning (MRP), and calculating lot sizing. Some forecast methods are compared in term of  Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) value. The Winter's Multiplicative method is the best method for each type of fabric. The Winter’s Multiplicative MAD value is 71.875. The lot sizing method used is Wagner Whitin Algorithm (WWA). The total cost of raw materials’ procurement is Rp. 34,968,493. After designing the PPIC system, a Visual Basic Application (VBA) is made to make it easier for users to do a production planning.

Abstract

PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (PT TMMIN) is an automotive manufacturing company and also exporter of Toyota cars and car components. Cars are made from a variety of components that are supplied from domestic (local) and abroad (imported). The import component has negative impact on PT TMMIN’s revenue. The negative impacts are due to IDR exchange rate against the US Dollar which tends to weaken from year to year. Localization of imported components is done to reduce the impact of purchases with foreign currency. The localization process is carried out by forex strategic localization team with manual document process. The manual process takes long time. The analysis process for solving problems using DMAIC approach. The improvement solution is done by designing a macro-VBA program. This improvement reduces process lead time, the decrease occurred between 88,57% to 98,47%. This improvement shows that macro-VBA have a significant impact on the time reduction.

Abstract

CV. Sinar Baja Electric is a company that produces speakers. The speakers are made by assembling. Line balancing analysis aims to improve the work station efficiency and give some solution about devide the workload to some operators. The line balancing method used is Rank Positional Weight method. Line balancing will be success if there is an increase in line efficiency. It also can be success if there is a decrease in balance delay, idle time, and smoothes index. The result of calculation show that there is a reduction in the number of work stations and the number of operators, from 34 stations and 36 operators to 28 stations and 30 operators. The average line efficiency of all operations also increased from 63,71% to 75,34%. This suggestion can be made by using helper, do training, and adding tools.

Abstract

Purchasing department of PT X is in charge of procuring goods and one of the keys of good procurement process is Planned Delivery Time (PDT). PDT needs to be accurate so material arrives on time. The problem is PT X does not update and evaluate PDT regularly so the accuracy of current PDT is unknown. The purpose of this study is to minimize incompatibility between PDT with actual conditions. The suppliers to be analyzed are selected based on Pareto Principle. Analysis is done by comparing PDT with confidence intervals which are formed from the lead time in 2019. PDT that is out of CI needs to be corrected. The revision of PDT will be given based on mean value from actual lead time because mean generate the minimum error of PDT and lead time. CI can be used in the next evaluation of supplier performance. Another result of this study is a system that is designed to facilitate PT X in evaluating PDT. The system will process the purchase data and determine the material that need to be evaluated. The system also generate the mean value of lead time which can be used as a basis for determining PDT.

Abstract

PT. X is a company that produces cigarette filter products in Indonesia. PT. X always makes continuous improvement so that the products produced are of the best quality to maintain the trust of customers. One of the improvements that will be made by PT. X is to improve operator skills and knowledge, so as to increase operator productivity. A production line is said to be productive if the production target on the machine has been met. If the production target is met, the machine downtime will also be lower. One of the factors that cause downtime is the occurrence of defects. Based on the AR (availability rate) report data that has been collected by PT. Previously, the average time for handling defects on 10 machines for 10 weeks was 123.47 minutes per shift or 41.15% of the average production up-time for each shift. This makes the machine's AR value only at 60-70%. If you look at the KPIs that have been determined by the company, the company's target for the AR value is > 85%. The high average downtime causes production results to often do not reach the target and make the machine AR percentage decrease. The higher the downtime percentage, the less finish good will be generated.

Abstract

CV. X is an ice cube distributor. The company faced a problem that ice cube distribution time ussually longer than time window that has been set by the company. This research is focused on minimization delivery time therefore the total delivery time will not exceed the time window. Currently, the company operates two cars and two treecycle motorbikes. Every vehicle has more than one route every day. Therefore this research problem is Vehicle Routing Problem With Time Window. This problem is solved using the Evolutionary Algorithm method in Microsoft Excel software. The proposed routes can reduce delivery time on two different days by 9.85% and 4.02% for cars, as well as 9.85% and 11.8% on treecycle motorbikes

Abstract

PT. XYZ is globally recognized as one of the leading furniture manufacturing companies. PT. XYZ was established in 1989 located at Sidoarjo, exports to America. The problems faced is defect percentage at the final inspection (buyer inspection) still exceeds the supposed target and the largest is caused by defects due to bad handling issues. Defects are caused by lack of training also no standards and guidelines for operators related to good handling. The purpose of this study is to find a solution as an attempt to reduce the percentage of weekly defects at the final inspection, especially due to bad handling issues. The method used is DMAIC and 5 Whys Analysis to find root cause. Solutions (standards and sketches) are made based on the 5S principle and visual display. Socialization is also done to increase operator’s knowledge. Control will use a check sheet. The result is that socialization has succeeded in increasing the knowledge of operators about good handling. The conclusion is that module (includes standards) and socialization can be used to achieve the company’s expected goals.

Abstract

PT Sari Indah Pembungkus Industri is one of the industrial companies engaged in the production of cardboard packaging boxes. PT Sari Indah Pembungkus Industri where the turnover intention of employees continued to increase from year to year. This study aims to analyze the influence of job burnout, kepuasan kerja, and komitmen berorganisasi factors that affect employee turnover intention behavior at PT Sari Indah Pembungkus Industri so that it can be used as evaluation material for company development. The method used to conduct this research is Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis using SmartPLS version 3 software. The results of this study are job burnout, kepuasan kerja, and komitmen berorganisasi affect turnover. Employee intention at PT Sari Indah Pembungkus Industri either partially or simultaneously.
