Abstract

PT. Evercoss Technology Indonesia, is a technology-based company that requires valid data to carry out safe and comfortable business activities. Based on the results of interviews with the company that there have been several work accidents while the company is in the new industrial area. By designing documents using HIRARC, it is hoped that it will help PT Evercoss Technology Indonesia in identifying various potentially hazardous work activities, by conducting a risk assessment of potentially hazardous work activities, to providing suggestions for risk control of potential hazards. The results obtained from making the HIRARC document show that there are several work activities that have the potential to be hazardous, namely 12 work activities that have very low potential hazards, 23 work activities that have low potential, 21 work activities that have moderate potential hazards and 2 work activities that have potential hazards. tall. The last stage is to control risk in several ways, namely elimination, substitution, engineering/technical design, administration, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The proposed risk control is expected to reduce the level of risk that occurs at PT Evercoss Technology Indonesia.

Abstract

PT. X is a wooden furniture manufacturing company that produces two types of products: knockdown and set-up, with a make-to-order system. Customer complaints in 2021 show that knockdown products are prone to experiencing the three biggest defects: broken/damage (34.2%), missing parts (25.5%), and missing hardware (21.0%). This research will focus on two types of defects: missing parts and missing hardware in knockdown products. This research aims to discover root cause and solution to overcome the defective product that passed into the customer's hands. This study utilizes two quality improvement tools: pareto chart and 5 whys analysis, which found four root causes of missing parts and five root causes of missing hardware. Solutions to overcome missing parts problems are Working List Packing, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for incomplete packing. Meanwhile, solutions to overcome the missing hardware problem are Working List Packing Hardware, installation of ventilators, and procurement of hardware charging systems.

Abstract

This research was done at a market leader for motorcycle providers. In implementation of distribution there is standard where there are some parts of existing standard that are less relevant to current conditions. In addition, the observations made show that the truck queues are quite dense because the loading process is less effective and efficient. To solve this problem, simulation model was made then looked at the results of several proposals before applying them. The first proposal is to increase worker utilization by adding final checking process to ensure the quality of the units. The results obtained are the output produced is not significantly different from the initial model and the existence of proposed standard update with the final checking process. The second proposal is to make dedicated location, so the distance is reduced. The results obtained from this proposal are the process of moving units to become more effective and efficient and the output of units and trucks increased. The third proposal made is to speed up the loading unit setup to be more effective and efficient. From this proposal, we obtain significantly different results from the initial model in which the number of trucks and units output increased.

Abstract

Changeover is the time needed to prepare for the next product production. CV. Sinar Baja Electric has a high changeover time due to the many product variants. A high changeover indicates a low level of machine availability. This study aims to increase the availability value of the company. This research will use OEE and SMED methods. Overall equipment effectiveness is a way to monitor and improve the efficiency of the manufacturing process. There are 3 factors that influence the calculation of OEE, namely availability, performance, and quality. Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) is a method used to reduce changeover time when a machine or equipment is undergoing a product type change. The purpose of using this method is to reduce changeover time. Based on the results of data processing, it was found that the proposed improvements for reducing the standard range from setting the glue timer and air pressure, improving the time sequence of production scheduling based on the size and type of glue, reducing the variant of glue used, setting the location and increasing the number of scales, making a structured work instruction setup machine. Estimated proposal to get a changeover time reduction of 55.2%

Abstract

Responding the increasing demands, PT. X acts by increasing the production capacity as well. One of those acts is adding one burning machinery that produces Bio Septic Tanks. With this addition, adjustment of the other workstations after the burning process are expected. This paper is to answer which work stations need some adjustments to their capacity planning. Some of the methods that are being used are snapback method stopwatch time study, standard time study based on Westing House’s performance rating, allowance, and the calculation of capacity planning and adjustment of the work stations. The outcome of this paper will be given to PT. X in order to help PT. X’s capacity planning when the time comes.

Abstract

PT. X is a daily use plastic packaging manufacturing company. The variety of the products produced causes PT. X to have many change over operation. The change over time for the IMM machine in production floor is taking too long causing delay in customer product fulfillment. Because of that it needs improvement. The chosen method to address this problem is Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED). The project was done by conducting an on-site observation and directly determined the machine and mold that is problematic. Pareto diagram, fishbone, and 5-whys analysis method were used to identify the root cause of the problem and the main factors contributes to it. The chosen machine and mold will be measured in time and analyzed directly using SMED. SMED analysis result will be used to create an improvement. Improvement that can be applied will be implemented immediately toward the affected machines and molds. The solution that has been implemented toward the machine and mold’s work methods has managed to reduce the amount of change over time by up to 45 percent.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is one of the main focus of company for giving service. Benchmark to find out the level of customer satisfaction is by the number of complaints customer delivered. The most frequently delivered type of complaint caused by weevil contamined products. Company would like to reduce number of complaints especially in the biggest causes. The analytical method is using gap analysis between Good Manufacturing Practices theory  and the fact which is implemented by the company. Good Manufacturing Practice is a criteria that must be done by the processed food company, then if there is any criteria has not been fulfilled, it will be used as a guidance to identify the problem and designing corrective actions to reduce the number of complaints caused by weevil contamined product. Gap analysis result showed that company has already produced the processed food well overall, but some scopes still need improvement to reduce the number of complaints, such as packer in production process and sanitation facilitation in warehouse.

Abstract

Food safety is an important issue for PT Megaprint Citra Mandiri because the company produces food packaging and wants to expand production to pharmaceutical packaging. But in reality, the company has not implemented the ISO 22000 food safety standard in the company. This problem can be answered by designing a food safety standard management system ISO 22000:2018. The purpose of this design is to design a food safety management system by fulfilling documents. The first step is to conduct a gap analysis to determine the current condition of the company. Based on the analysis, the company only met 5.7% of the applicable standards according to ISO 22000:2018. Then do the design of documents that are still lacking and make improvements to several documents so that they are in accordance with the existing standard clauses. . After the fulfillment of the documents, a gap analysis is carried out again to measure the improvement of the appropriate documents. Document fulfillment has an impact on the company, which has increased by 85.9% with document fulfillment by 91.6%.

Abstract

This research is conducted to design an HRD Department dashboard at PT. X. PT. X considers employee performance as a crucial aspect as its vision is to always maintain the quality of its service. However, employee performance evaluation is still carried out by manually processing data from separate sources. This condition deters the top level management from making decisions regarding employee performance. This problem can be answered by designing a dashboard to visualize employee performance data. The purpose of this dashboard is to make decision making related to employee performance evaluation easier for top level management. The dashboard is designed using a software where the data are connected and processed. The processed data are visualized using various types of visuals of the dashboard. Overall, the HRD Department dashboard can answer the needs of employee performance evaluations, such as data on employees who receive annual bonuses, the effectiveness of the workshops, as well as employee and department performance score.

Abstract

PT. X is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry that produces various kinds of wooden furniture products such as dining tables, chairs, cabinets, etc. PT. X was established in 2012 and during PT. X is running there are several accidents at work. This final project was carried out using the method of observation and interviews with field managers and workers. The purpose of this final project is to identify hazards, assess risks, and carry out risks to the company. After doing the analysis, in the production area of 16 sub-activities there are low risk rating categories with a total of 12 categories, a medium risk rating category with 21 categories, and a high risk rating category with a total of 7 categories. As for the warehouse area, there is a low risk rating category with a total of 2 categories and a medium risk rating category with a total of 4. It has been proposed 20 administrative engineering controls, 25 controls using personal protective equipment, and 1 control by technical design. If risk control is carried out, it is estimated that the risk rating will change to 0 extreme cases, 0 high cases, 12 moderate cases, and 34 low cases.
