Abstract

The raw material used for the production process, 70% comes from outsourcing. Thishigh percentage is the main challenge for PT SEMB to control and ensure raw material is readywhen needed. The consignment model has a minimum limit and a maximum limit. The materialwill be kept at PT SEMB, while not being used these raw materials still owned by the suppliers,and the place to keep this material is not registered as PT SEMB in the system. This meansconsignment material should have a low inventory level because the ownership will change onlywhen the material is used, but the problem is from January to March 2019 inventory levelconsignment material has increased. One of the main problems is outdated information formaterial limits (min-max). This problem solved by making tools that can adjust materials limit(min-max) with the production process and at the same time, it's adjusted with the manpower todo the replenishment process at Lot 15. Improvement also made by changing the person whodoing open consignment from leader Lot 15 to warehouse leader Sensor plant. The results forthis improvement are decreasing average inventory levels from $362,221 (January-March 2019)to $240,327 (May 2019). Decreasing is approximately 33%

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company that produces distribution transformers that have a problem with insufficient production output of the company. Based on company data, the company's target is 372 units/month. Meanwhile, the company's capacity is 207 units/month, which comes from the longest process, namely coil LV. The production capacity problem can be solved by improving the process whose capacity does not reach the target, namely the coil LV and Core Coil Assembly  (CCA). Improvements that are the first priority are the coil LV process as the longest process and increasing the capacity of the CCA process. The proposed alternative for improvement is to add 3 coil LV operators to 11 people and do overtime for 6 operators for 1 day and divide the work elements of the CCA helper. The cost that needs to be spent for the proposal is Rp 14,496,000. The alternative proposals submitted by the authors have also been validated and verified in simulations using ProModel by producing outputs that are close to the company's target.

Abstract

The materials' delivery delay at a manufacturer's industry causes problems in the production line. The Purchasing Department must notify the vendors whose deliveries are late based on the delivery notification to minimize the product expenses. This research aims to construct material allocation methods and group the vendors to notify the vendors of the shipping materials. We started with mining the SAP data and then cleaning the dataset and constructing the algorithm using Python to create a shipping notification. Finally, we presented the results in a dashboard built using Power BI. As the result of this study, we have two material allocation groups: the high-quantity and the high-value method. Additionally, we also group the purchase orders (PO) as problem-free purchase orders and purchase orders with problems. Based on those grouping in material allocation and purchase orders; we classified the jobs as a job with complete required materials (Job OK), a job with uncomplete required materials (Job Not OK), and a job that the needed materials are on the way and the vendors can be notified to speed up the delivery (Job may be OK).  This classification helps the Purchasing Department send notifications to the vendors who potentially have materials delivery delays.

Abstract

SMP Negeri 1 Ratahan is a junior high school with 520 school members. The article discusses the potential hazards related to the safety and health of the school environment. After being identified, the hazards potential with moderate to high risk rating are carried out by designing controls to reduce the risk of hazards occuring. The results of the hazard potential identification indicated that there were 4 potential hazards with medium rating and required a control design. The control design is carried out by applying the standards set by the government regulations related to school environment facilities and infrastructure and administration of school environmental health. The control design is carried out to reduce the frecuency of occurence of potential hazards and their impact.

Abstract

Company always try to thrive for their business. One of the indicator to measure growth and achievement by using Key Performance Indicator (KPI). PT. X, the biggest industrial gases company in Indonesia, have applied KPI assessment for each quarter in a year. In this case, it will focused on the retail division that consists of filling station that being managed by branch manager. The problem with the present reporting information system for KPI assessment are done manually using excel. This will cause the assessment are wrongly calculated and it will affect their performance as Branch manager in filling station. The other problem is media to inform the result of KPI assessment not being visualized with interactive and related into each other in one single pane. These problem can be solve by proposing reporting information system to present achievement on KPI with dashboard. Feature that being used in this information system are from Google Workspace such as Google Spreadsheet and also an app to build dashboard which is Microsoft Power BI. This proposed information system on KPI assessment can simplify company to evaluate filling station performance and take a strategy move to keep thriving and compete with the other companies.

Abstract

Circuit-breaker industry have to return their machines to get them fixed when it comes to breakdown through the export. The process is involved with 7 departments in which several of those activities are non-value-added activities and cause wasted time for the administrastion document handling. Makigami method is use to map the flow within the process including medium, total activity, and time, in order to identify even eliminate non-value-added activity and the potential of waste. The purpose is to simplify the process into a simple and efficient process. The delivery note documents are now be managed by 2 departments with different asset ownership, which can be categorized as an unnecessary transportation. They want to integrate the person who is in charge of the delivery note documents, any miscommunication between department will subside. The result comes with reduction for 53% in the amount of total process as well as total of waste for 40% and time savings for 39%.

Abstract

PT. X is a manufacturing company that manufactures bikes. One of  the departments in PT. X is logistics department that has responsibilities to store, prepare, stuffing, and/or send the product to the customer. The problem faced by the logistics department in PT. X is that the logistics department that consists of three warehouses, logistics analyst, and a team leader only has one Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) for only one warehouse. Moreover, some of these KPIs are not related to logistics department activities and achievement of many KPIs related to performance from two or more departments. These problems make performance measurement of logistics department is not accurate. The purpose of this research is to design Key Performance Indicators that are the full responsibility of logistics department of PT. X based on Business Model Canvas (BMC), quality objectives, and strategy map of the logistics department. BMC, quality objectives, and strategy map is established based on vision, mission, and quality policy of PT. X.

Abstract

Piano learning center for autism is a learning center with music therapy and piano concept. Learning center is founded to answer autistic needed in focus, auditory, and emotion. To make a right foundation, feasibility study need to analysis from 3 segment are, market segment, technical segment, and financial segement. Market segment for this learning center examine competitor, SWOT analysis, focus, auditory, emotion autismetic, interest for learning center, potential market and business model canvas. Techinical segment examine license for operation and enstablised, worker, facility and layout design, room needs, and teaching schedule. Financial segement examine learning center income, salary, cost for every  needs, income statement, internal rate of return, and payback period. Final result for this feasibility study are, learning center has 550 potential market, all technical segment for learning center compatible with goverment and standar for autismetic suffer, and learning center have 50% internal rate of return and 3,6 year payback period.

Abstract

In carrying out work or activities, accidents can occur anywhere, anytime and this is certaintly not desireable. Unsupportive workplace conditions (no personal protective equipment) can also threaten worker safety and can disrupt worker productivity. Indonesian national standardization on SNI ISO 45001:2018 creates an occupational health and safety management system that can minimize work accidents and can achieve the goals set by the organization or company in this case “X” University. Initially, “X” University did not have a policy that regulated the importance of occupational health and safety. The design of the occupational health and safety management of “X” University designed the SMK3 manual to realize safe, comfortable and healthy campus activites by creating on organizational structure that regulates human resource that will run and manage the SMK3 at “X” University to be more organized.

Abstract

This study aims to design a monitoring dashboard that can replace the company's two routine manual reports. These reports were prepared by the business intelligence team manually and reported to the board of directors and other department members bi-weekly. The designed dashboard was constructed using python programming to clean and prepare the data set and Google Data Studio to visualize the data. As a result, the dashboard simplifies the reporting process, minimizing human errors, helping business analysts make decisions, and increasing productivity activities in the company. At the end of this work, the designed dashboard is able to replace the manual processes done by the business intelligence team making processing and visualization time be reduced significantly. The work also enables the business intelligence team who has no prior experience in making the report to be able to use the python code and update the dashboard’s data after being trained for short period amount of time.
