Abstract

PT. X is a company engaged in manufacturing, namely as a producer of expanded metal and hollow. So far, the company has not implemented K3 properly in its company. Therefore, the purpose of this final project is to identify hazard risks, assess the level of risk, and provide risk control proposals (HIRARC) in the company's production process. In the initial stage of this final project, the authors will conduct direct observations in the field and interviews with field supervisors and workers. After conducting interviews and observations, the authors will identify hazards, assess the risks of hazards, and provide suggestions for controlling the risks of hazards. The results obtained from the analysis are that there are 24 potential hazards that have a significant risk rating category, 8 moderate risk ratings, and 4 low risk rating. The risk controls provided are 4 technical engineering, 43 administrative steps, and 5 PPE. After the risk control is implemented, it is estimated that the risk rating will change to a lower level.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the service sector, namely the automation of the chiller plant system. There have been several work accidents at the PT XYZ project site. This final project was carried out using direct observation in the project field and interviews with field supervisors and employees. This final project aims to help companies to reduce the potential for work accidents that occur. From the result of the final project analysis, obtained 17 activites that are dangerous in the work process. Of the total 17 work accidents, severity is in the medium and high categories. 33 proposal for hazard risk control have been proposed, dominated by administrative control and PPE. Proposed control that has been given by the author and has been approved by the company. After the proposed control is given, the predicted severity of all 17 potential work accidents in the low category

Abstract

PT Anugerah Rimba Raya is a wood processing company that doesn’t have work hazard identification document. The company’s previous accidents report showed that there were 19 accidents that occurred from 2018 to 2020. The design of the HIRARC document aims to identify the types of hazards that can occur in the work environment, to evaluate the magnitude of the risks and its impacts, and to document the efforts of hazard control in order to minimize hazard potential.  The source of data collected during hazard identification stage will be carried out by direct observation, crew interviews, and company’s previous accident record. Futhermore, at the risk assessment stage, 2 parameters will be used, probability and severity. The assessment stage will divide hazard risk into different levels which is extreme risk, high risk, medium risk, low risk. After that, the risk control will be carried out based on the control hierarchy which is divided into elimination, substitution, technical design, administrative control, personal protective equipment. The prediction result of reduction risk levels after proposed controls showed a decrease in the level of risk that existed before.

Abstract

PT X is a company that produces cigarette filters. They try to continuously improve. One of them is by increasing productivity on the production line. Productivity at PT X is affected by several factors. Two of them are Availability Rate (AR) and Performance Rate (PR). Based on the data collected in January 2020, the rate of AR is 85% and PR is 88%, with a productivity rate of 656.8 tray filters per operator. The company has set the minimum rate for AR and PR are 90% dan 95% for each. Therefore, improvements are needed. One of the tools that can be used to increase productivity is value stream mapping to build the current state map. To increase the rate, some improvement that can be done is by making Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on cleaning processes of the machine and the area around. In addition, check the lifetime of the grinding blade before starting the production and apply line balancing to the process in order to prevent bottleneck. Then, build the future state map. Thus, each of the AR and PR rates are expected to increase to 90% and 95% so that in the end it can increase the productivity.

Abstract

In a manufacturing company, cycle time is the most crucial thing for a company. As a manufacturing company CV. Sinar Baja Electric does not have an accurate cycle time in every product, so there are some products that still do not have the suitable cycle time, which makes the productions become less effective and efficient. Therefore, an improvement is needed on the inaccurate cycle time. The improvement is intended for the company so that they can have a cycle time in every product that helps in every production process. Statistical test, statistical description analysis, standard time, hypothesis test and linear regression methods are used in this research. Later, data processing will be used for designing a cycle time prediction tool, using the macro excel with the visual basic application tool. Therefore the cycle time prediction tool can be used for predicting the cycle time in a product based on the processes.

Abstract

Each product undergoes several steps in a product life cycle, namely introduction, growth, maturity, and decline. One of the SMEs in Kudus, Central Java named Dapurmaunyaa also underwent such product life cycle. The sales of Dapurmaunyaa’s milky pudding experienced continuous decline for three consecutive months. This research aimed to find the root cause of the decreasing sales numbers and its solution for future business development. Open interviews and questionnaire distribution were done to pinpoint customers’ reasons for not repurchasing the company’s products. The result of the research revealed boredom as the main factor of the sales numbers’ decrease. The best solution that could be done as an effort to increase sales numbers was by adding new flavor variations of the products sold.

Abstract

Concrete and Construction Laboratory of Petra Christian University (PCU) is one of the testing laboratories under the auspices of the Civil Engineering study program and faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning. Design of SNI ISO 17025:2017 document is required for the Concrete and Construction Laboratory of PCU to obtain accreditation in order that the concrete test results can be recognized internationally. This research was conducted by identifying business processes, conducting initial and final document gap analysis, document creation, and document verification. The results of the initial document gap analysis show that the percentage of document completeness that the laboratory has is 8,74% with a total of four documents. Document creation is done by designing and creating documents that are not yet available as well as making adjustments to the documents that are already available. After the documents have been created and verified, the results of final document gap analysis show that the percentage of document completeness has increased to 80,60% with a total of 59 documents. The increase in the document completeness through the results of the initial and final document gap analysis was 71,86%.

Abstract

Designing processing system on value assessment is needed to process data that related to the suitability of the candidate's value with the company. Candidates are interns who are doing the internship program in the company. The purpose of this research is to make the evaluation and analyzation about candidate’s value easier for user from Human Capital Department, specifically Talent Acquisition and helps recruitment process running more effectively because the results of value assessment are one of the considerations to decide whether the candidate is eligible to take part on the next stage. The designed formula will generate the data needed by the user automatically according to the responses obtained from the google form, and will be updated in real time. One of the situations experienced by candidates regarding to their value is directly related to the performance management in the company, especially performance management implemented by their direct supervisor. Therefore, this research wanted to know whether the performance management implemented in the company was in line with the expectations of the candidates. Then it will be analyzed which aspects of performance management need to be maintained or improved in order to support the company's sustainability and success.

Abstract

UD. X is a distributor of LPG and mineral water located in the Sukoharjo area. Currently UD. X has not implemented information system technology in recording goods data, causing discrepancies in the actual inventory data. Inventory data discrepancies occur three to four times a week. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to have an information system that can make it easier to store data. The design of information systems begins with making ERD, context diagrams, and DFD. After that, it is continued by calculating the optimal order interval and calculating the minimum and maximum inventory needed by UD. X. Then proceed with making an information system application based on Microsoft Excel. The final result of the design of the information system is an application that has been designed to make it easier for admins to record accurately the inventory of goods and assist the owner in supervising the activities in and out of goods.

Abstract

PT. Multi Indowood is a company producing furniture such as chairs, tables, and cabinets. The company implemented standard operating procedure (SOP) to increase productivity, and this paper aims to analyze the implementation. The research focus on determining the success of SOP implementation in warehouse improvement and increased worker productivity. Time and worker activity data were collected from three machines in the warehouse using the work sampling method for each process. The results of the evaluation analysis showed that the SOP was successfully implemented, with an increase in worker productivity and a decrease in cycle time and non-productive activities. The increase in worker productivity was also made by reducing activities classified as unnecessary non-value added and necessary non-value-added. Solution creation needs to be done to reduce the actvitiy classified as unnecessary non-value added and necessary non-value-added. There are five solution designed to control SOP implementation and reduce non-productive activity in the warehouse.
