Abstract

This project aims to provide a design of an improvised acceptance sampling system as a part of the Quality Control (QC) activity in some production processes of Painting & Sticker Division at PT. X. Repair calls for defectives known externally until receiving more customer complaints become some continuous concerns for the company. One technique for analyzing its sampling system is through looking to its Probability of Acceptance (Pa), Average Outgoing Quality (AOQ), and Average Total Inspection (ATI) value. This project sets AOQ value as the topmost judgement parameter to determine a better acceptance sampling system. This is due to external failures and continuous complaints acquired in which caused by a poor quality detached from the Painting & Sticker Division. Result shows that the current acceptance sampling system produces a thin gap between its AOQ and initial quality value (calculated from the average defect/unit in June-December 2019). On the other hand, its AOQ given by the improvised acceptance sampling system shows a lower value in comparison. A lower AOQ of an acceptance sampling system will benefit company at some aspects, such as decrease of external failure cost and complaints.

Abstract

PT. X is a gas industry in which the company wants to know the work load ratio of each of the administrative positions in administrative positions in it’s retails for the purpose of manpower efficiency. PT. X did not have data related to work load of several positions. Therefore, this research aims to calculate the work load for several positions in several retailers in East Java. The research was conducted in two retails and in five positions. The data collecting technique is done by using work sampling method. Data processing is carried out using the Work load Analysis method. The results showed that there were four positions categorized as underload. Analysis was done at two position which had the smallest work load. It is found that the root problems are small workplace and bad workflow. The proposed improvements are centralizing of filling station and improving workflow.

Abstract

Globalization cause business improve rapidly. PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (PT TMMIN) which is an automotive company also need to innovate and keep improving. Innovation needed a prototype before development part going live. Prototype part evaluation done at Toyota Daihatsu Engineering & Manufacturing (TDEM) in Thailand and TMC so PT TMMIN need to export part according to order given. Order is divided into two group which are special project and general project. Special project is project based on vehicle produced by PT TMMIN and general project is project based on general Toyota vehicle. One of system issue is no special budget number dedicated to TWX-21 System. Currently, TWX-21 System is using special project based budget so budget amount depends on ongoing special project. Thinking framework used is Toyota Business Practice (TBP). The purpose is to find out the reason for the lack of a dedicated budget number for the TWX-21 System. The improvements have a positive effect, which are a single dedicated budget created for TWX-21 System.

Abstract

Company X is a company engaged in the furniture sector. The company has been established since 2003. Company X has a problem, which is that it is still unable to design new product specifications and determine which current products need to be produced again using past demand data. This causes high RnD (Research and Development) cost losses. These costs include drafting costs, costs for making frame molds, fabrics, foam, and prototype costs. With the application of BI to company X, the specifications of the sofa can be found out according to the interests and needs of consumers. The data used in this study are sales from January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. The method used to conduct this research is the decision tree version ID3 and C4.5. After being tested using cross-validation 10 times, the results of the accuracy show that the C4.5 version of the decision tree is more accurate than the ID3 version. The results of this study are to determine the sofa specifications that customers are interested in based on price segmentation. Categories based on price are divided into 3, namely PR3, PR2, and PR1. There are 6 significant sofa specifications in PR2. There are 3 significant sofa specifications in the PR3.

Abstract

The implementation of online learning at UK Petra since 1st Semester 2019/2020 has drawn criticism and suggestions from lecturers and students which are channeled through ELTC. Complaints about the implementation of online learning occur in e-learning material/content, e-learning interactive media, and Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The complaint relates to the e-learning tools used. This research was carried out to select each e-learning tool that was by Kansei words. In 2nd Semester 2020/2021 academic year, the assessment of the learning aspect with the lowest score of 1.95-2.00 was VLE UK Petra (Lentera). Various complaints about the use of the Lentera, such as information that is too crowded, the location of the features is not clear then causing the failure, and the presentation of information that is not clear. Evaluation of the implementation of online learning at Lentera and Google Classroom also needs to be done. The evaluation process is carried out by integrating the Kansei Engineering and Quality Function Deployment methods. Using the average assessment results with semantic differential scale, Google Classroom is a good e-learning tool for every Kansei words. There are 11 proposed improvements that can be applied in Lentera

Abstract

PT X is a company that has been producing kinds of bread. Over the past 3 years, there have been 30 to 35 work accidents every year. Until now the company does not have occupational health and safety management system. This final project aims to identify hazards, carry out risk assessments, and create risk control for hazards in the company's production area. After conducting research, in the production area there are 16 sub-activities with 17 potential hazards. The risk assessment resulted in a high risk rating of 4 potential hazards, significant risk rating of 10 potential hazards, and a moderate risk rating of 3 potential hazards. Risk control carried out is 9 controls with technical design, 11 administration, 9 personal protective equipment, and 1 substitution. This control has been validated by the company's implementation. If all of these controls are carried out, then the estimated risk rating is a significant risk rating of 1, a moderate risk rating of 7, and a low risk rating of 9. The implementation is carried out in the activity of chopping coconut and attaching the oven plug to the electrical installation.

Abstract

PT. X is one of roof trusses manufacturer in Indonesia. Due to intense competition between competitors, company needs to provide good service to customers. The problem that happened is the the company’s production capacity per shift still hasn’t been able to meet customer demands, therefore the company often does overtime on production. Inventory cost also being the problem in company where the raw materials are more than demand it cause more inventory cost. The purpose of this study is to allocated the workload with consider the production capacity and find out the best option for controlling raw material inventory. Production capacity can be calculated from standard time and then workload allocation to minimize overtime and idle time. Workload allocation can reduce overtime by 90,8% and idle time by 47,7%. Continuous review system, periodic review system, and multi-item joint order methods will be used as raw material ordering methods. These methods will be compared with the current conditions based on total inventory cost. In conclusion, continuous review system method has the smallest total inventory cost compared to other methods and the current conditions of the company that reduce the cost by 3,55%.
