Abstract

SPP is a section of PT X manufacturing that produces packaging. KPI (Key Performance Indicators) of SPP are safety and sustainability, quality, delivery, and cost. Cost is divided into DIM (direct material) waste and productivity. DIM waste data percentage is recorded in the SPP production information system, including production report and material report. The problem is there is gap between the percentage of DIM waste in the production report and in the material report. This is caused by the three weaknesses of the SPP production information system. The SPP information system is not simple, the records are inaccurate, and not standard. The design of a new production information system is carried out in order to amend the weaknesses of the old production information system. This can support the company to minimize the gap between the percentage of DIM waste in the production report and in the material report results.

Abstract

PT. Smart, Tbk. is a company that produces palm oil-based products. It produces product such as cooking oil, margarine, shortening, and specialty fats. Filling process is one of the process to putting oil in the package. The oil’s volume in the packaging is regulated under Weight in a Closed Package (BDKT) but on the other side, the company also has an oil loss budget. Oil loss is an amount of oil in a package that over the predetermined volume. The company expects the oil loss can be minimized by keeping the process on the machines that can be controlled and machines can have a good capability for each product. Dashboard is made to help to monitor and analyze the machine performance using SPC (Statistical Process Control) which consists of sigma level, control chart, and capability index. Further analysis is done by using eight control chart rules to find the possibility causes of the bad optimality. One of the causes of bad optimality is tool calibration. The calibration schedule for every machine must be determined. The results of the Dashboard state that most machines have suboptimal performance. In General, poor capability values can be caused by USL values that too optimistic.

Abstract

This research was conducted to design a Quality Management System in the Production Department PT. X. This company has increased their production capacity with a significantly increased demand. Thus there will be 7000 additional employees. Difference in production output happens with additional employees that needs to be fixed due to defect product triggering. Standaritation on every process needs to be done with a system that fits company needs. The standaritations trial could be done through a quality management system towards the production department. The document will be used to support the quality management in the future. The designing was done through observing and direct interview to operator and related admin. The observation’s result will be supporting data in the designing of the quality  management system in PT. X. The designed document is next to be evaluated and validated by the supervisor and head of production and cones. The validated document then will be stored as a written guidelines for the production process. The result is SOP, Work Instruction, Business Process, Quality Plan and Supporting Form. The documents will be given to related employees and become the documents that will be placed in several spots throughout the company as a retraining way to minimize the defect products.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a motorcycle manufacturing company. PT XYZ distributes its products to 29 main dealers spread throughout Indonesia. main dealer X is the main dealer with the most inaccurate forecast accuracy with an accuracy forecast of 75,2%, because PT XYZ applies the forecast forecast accuracy of ±5%. main dealer x has a market share of 65% and when mapped to 9 segments there are 5 segments whose market share is below 65%. Of the five segments chosen the mid sport segment which has the most significant market share growth. the forecasting process is carried out in the mid sport segment and found that the CF150 product has a low stock. CF150 stock is below the KPI stock day monitoring implemented by PT XYZ so the product focused is CF150. After being implemented in the unit allocation process at PT XYZ, actual sales of CF150 were obtained in April of 31 units. With the actual sales, the forecast accuracy is 93.9% and it is still not said to be accurate for PT XYZ because it is still below its standard of 95%.

Abstract

This research was conducted to remake the Standard Operating Procedure and Working Instruction according to ISO 9001:2015 standard at PT. Pabrik Kertas Indonesia. PT. Pabrik Kertas Indonesia do not yet have ISO 9001:2015 certification. The remaking documents will be used to prepare for ISO 9001:2015 certification in the future. The remaking is done by conducting direct observation and interviews with the relevant operators. The results of observations and interviews are used as supporting data in making new Standard Operating Procedure and Working Instruction. The new draft of Standard Operating Procedure and Working Instruction are then evaluated and validated by the Deputy Head of Stock Preparation III-V Section and Deputy Head of Production Unit 2 Department. The Standard Operating Procedure and Wokring Instruction drafts that have been validated will be stored as written guidelines for the implementation of the production process. The results obtained are 4 Standard Operating Procedures documents and 9 Working Instruction documents.

Abstract

PT SEMB is a company that works in the production of electrical components related to energy management and automation. The problem that occurs is the order made in the present conditions is still not optimal, causing the inventory level to be high. The study was conducted to help the company to be able to reduce the inventory costs and transportation costs. Direct delivery is a system that helps to reduce the inventory level and cost to the cost of goods ordered. The simulation that has been done for direct system can provide savings of up to 50,000 USD. Savings obtained from this direct system if applied to all local suppliers will reduce the cost of 280,000 USD compared to the current conditions. In addition, milk-run studies are also used to material pick-up methods. This method can also reduce the transportation costs until 900 USD.

Abstract

PT. X has received ISO 9001:2015 certification, but in its application there are still some deficiencies of the required documents. The existing certifications require renewal of certification in the future. In order to prepare companies to confront the internal and external audit processes to renewing certification, the companies needs to complete the ISO 9001:2015 requirements documents. The company will be assisted to making the documents that do not yet exist and updating documents that need to be revised according to the current state of the company and the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. The first results of the initial gap analysis shows that PT. X has a fairly high gap. The average percentage of document fulfillment in the initial gap analysis is 50%. After making and updating documents, the average percentage of document fulfillment has increased, which is 100%. The increase of the percentage of document fulfillment that owned by the company was 50%.

Abstract

One of the problems in the Hong Kong ice cream factory is work accidents, the absence of K3 management makes the handling of K3 cases not done properly. Designing a Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) document is a way to help Hong Kong ice cream factories deal with K3 problems. The design of the HIRARC document begins with direct observations and interviews with factory residents, besides that the author also asks for OHS data from the company if any. Risk assessment and analysis of the case findings obtained, to determine what activities are high risk so that risk control is carried out immediately. Risk control is a suggestion from the author and the result of the approval of the factory management. The results of this final project result in hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control on findings that have a medium risk rating, and reduce the risk level from medium to low.

Abstract

Occupational safety during a Covid–19 pandemic is something that needs attention related with health and physical distancing with the others. As in online transportation that can not implement physical distancing between driver and passenger. This research aim to identify hazard and risk Covid–19 virus contamination and impact to driver and passenger that using this service. Health protocols can be done in according to government and online transportation company regulation to prevent widespread transmission of the virus. Prevention that can be taken while driving by online transportation using 5 whys. The recommendations used for the most important prevention for driver and passenger from being contaminated the virus are using masks, using the personal helmet, payment methods, and spraying disinfectant on driver’s vehicles and the other surfaces.

Abstract

PT X is one of fast moving consumer goods company in the tobacco industry. Since 2018, PT X has started to launch new product (project launching) in various city in Indonesia. This projects have given impact for several department, including recruitment department for employee fulfilment. Fulfilment process was difficult to do because turnover rate was more than 40%. Pareto’s result shows three main reasons that influence employee to leave the company. The reasons are disciplinary action, unclear status and benefit, and performance issue. The root causes of the three main reasons are identified by 5 whys analysis and analysis of employee characteristics through Cramer’s V test and crosstab. Based of analysis, the root causes are the company didn’t have job description, employees don’t have many experiences, training just is given in the beginning of project and unequal, the company doesn’t have a clear appraisal for employee performance, engagement rate is low and there isn’t salary invoice. Based on the root causes of employee turnover, the solutions that can offer are making job description and spesification, making training guidelines, implementing 360° assessments, giving rewards and giving salary invoice. Five solutions are expected to reduce employee turnover rate of employee project PT X.
