Abstract

Along with the large number of population in the city of Surabaya, this city is also the second busiest city in Indonesia with many activities outside of their residence. yang kurang diperhatikan oleh anggota keluarganya. Padahal diumur yang tidak lagi muda, lansia memiliki kebutuhan yang khusus untuk memelihara kesehatan fisik dan psikis mereka. This will raise the number of elders being left behind by their family members. In fact, on their senior year the elderlies have special necessities to maintain their physical and psychological health. The design purpose  is to accommodate the elderly to do activities during public work hours. The facility is designed to support users in fulfilling the physical, psychological, and social needs of the elderly.  The design method that will be used is Standford Design Thinking Process in 2009, which consists of understand, observe, ideate, prototype, test, and implementation. The results of the design is an Elderly Community Center with the concept of Eudamonia, which means the circumstances in which human become happy, healthy, and prosperous individuals. The facilities provided in this day care includes gym, physiotherapy, infrared therapy, area for Tai-chi and aerobic, reading area, etc.

Abstract

As one of the tourist attraction in which located in Surabaya, Mangrove Forest is one of the ecosystems that has various benefit and potential. One of the conservation area of Mangrove is located in Wonorejo Surabaya. Unfortunately this tourist attraction area is poor in facility and activities that cannot be facilitated. Especially on the time of ship waiting for the cross over.The needed facility are the ones that can facilitate the ships waiting activity so that the visitors do not feel bored. The facility is a area includes a room for waiting which equipped with chairs and shelter, food corner are which are meant for selling foods, table for eating needs, mini library area with the mangrove books and magazines, the use and the benefit of it, speaker to announce the arrival of the ships or for music, and a room for the mangrove staff to control the waiting facility. This design will use bamboo as less used material in Indonesia in a conservative ecotourism object which is less desirable by the local people and still not yet fulfilled the needs of facility. By having an interesting and updated facility in Mangrove forest, especially in this cross over area, it is hoped that the amount of visitors will increase and they will be more comfortable having recreation in this place.

Abstract

Nowadays the development of gaming industry has made great progress, in this development of game industry there’s E-Sport which one of thie fastest growing fields, this can be seen since there is a lot of interests from youth people who are enthusiastic and plunge into E-Sports. However, the problem is there is no facilities that can contain the activity of E-Sports itself, purpose of this design is to create facilities that can contain E-Sports activity in Surabaya. Design method used is through Standford’s Design Thinking including Understanding , Emphatize , Define , Ideate , Prototype , Test and ended with implementation. By bringing Garena brand which is one of game publisher company in Indonesia, then implementation and brand recognition in this planning will be applied in a form of design as modern interior elements such as Hexagonal pattern, material that used also dominated by glossy material because it gives luxurious effect. This design also use colors Red,Black,and White which is the brand color from Garena itself. Writer expect a well-applied concept in this planning will become a facility that can accomodate and supportss E-Sports activity in Surabay

Abstract

The education pattern in kindergarten is different from elementary levels. Children at the elementary level begin to understand about differences and the environment. They have more potential to grow and absorb new information. The elementary school system in Indonesia, especially in Surabaya, is often limited to facilitate children's academic intelligence and not facilitate non-academic intelligence. Almost all elementary schools in Surabaya do not pay attention to the student various learning styles that cause students often do not understand lessons taught during the class. Student's low score then considered as "not capable" in learning. In fact, the classroom teaching method is not right for them. The design solution for this problem is to divide classrooms based on student learning styles and facilitate schools with needed space

Abstract

Siola building is a historic building that is enough for the city of Surabaya. Building full of history, applied to be cultivated for the city society, so that the Museum of Surabaya that was enacted in 2015, to improve the image of culture Surabaya. By doing so, to increase interest by many people who are not aware of any museum in Gedung Siola Surabaya, the need for support, so that their interior design Restaurant Museum Surabaya, because with a note that the restaurant can be interesting to the public. Because the modern world, not many people will always come in or aware of any museum in the absence of urgent necessity, so that with the design, it can make people interested to be without their special purposes in the museum. The location is so positioned in the city center, making this design is designed to meet the needs of the businessman who want to conduct meetings outside the office, seeing the needs of today, many people work or meet at a place to eat. The concept is applied is heroic to support a museum, by applying the traditional style that uses natural material as a supporter. So with their interrelationships with each other, will be at the museum Surabaya knowing by many people easily

Abstract

Music is a part that can’t be separated from everyday human life’s. In Indonesia itself, the music industry is one of the sectors of the creative economy with the greatest revenue. The music industry in Indonesia is divided into two, namely major label and one of them which is indie label whose musicians try to produce and marketing their music independently. With this self-supporting principle, then there are many indie music community in Surabaya city with the purpose of helping each other. Many indie musicians have great potential but have facility constraints and are less well known to the public. Indie music community center in Surabaya is a place for indie music community who want to work and develop their ability in music to a better level. In accordance with the concept of KAWE which means "karepe dewe", then the interior design is trying to create facilities that fulfill the indie music community as well as introduce it to the public more clearly and directed.

Abstract

Interior design Football Information Center in Surabaya This raised the issue of the lack of space to accommodate about information the basic theories of football in Surabaya.Interior design Football Information Center in Surabaya is a public building that serves as the source of all information about football. The design aims to create football information center that does not exist in Surabaya as a means of knowledge of the history of football soccer theory, tactics, player positions, football techniques, how to exercise that right, according to standards of FIFA football regulations, as well as the treatment and healing of injury, and as container which directly brings visitors who have a penchant football. Football information center has a main facility area football information, and support facilities such as mini theathre, press conference rooms, cafes, and shops. All these facilities can be enjoyed by a wide range of backgrounds and ages.

Abstract

This research is done to find out cafe consumer’s behavior, who visit cafe’s as a public space to do various activities. The benchmarks used to analyze the different behaviors is the behavioral setting theory. The method used to collect correct data is behavioral mapping method. The data obtained from cafes located in West, Central and East Surabaya were analyzed using behavioral components which are physical properties, social components, and the environmental setting. The result of the analysis shows that consumers in Antler Cabin Cafe West Surabaya and Konig Coffee and Bar East Surabaya start to shift towards service which depends on staff’s cafe. While consumers in Titik Koma Coffee and Calibre Coffee Roasters Central Surabaya, tend to not depend on the cafe’s staff because they perform self-service.

Abstract

The Sidoarjo hot mud flood (Lapindo mud) that occurred on May 29, 2006 has caused a lot of damage and disadvantage to the victims. But behind it all Lapindo mud itself  has a lot of content that can be processed into something more valuable, many educational and non-educational institutions are doing research on Lapindo mud for processing purposes and unfortunately though it works but most products eliminate the characteristic of Lapindo mud and directed to existing general materials. Therefore, the idea was born to process Lapindo mud without removing the characteristic physical character in the form of ceramic furniture. Lapindo mud processing into ceramic furniture is also expected to be a stimulation for Indonesian furniture actors to develop local ceramic furniture in order to compete globally.

Abstract

One of the government's effort concerning healthy living and healthy is by developing flat house for the community. To support resident's activities, each of the resident need to do a good spatial planning. These planning could be supported by selecting efficient storage so that the goods owned can be arranged neatly and easy to find. Storage selection also serves to avoid the intended room look cramped and unclean. ―The Simplicity of Compact‖ is the concept shown on this design paper. The appropriate storage system for flat house is called compact furniture, in which there will be some furniture put into 1 furnishing. Compact on the design is meant for both of storage terms and also the shape of the furniture. It is intended that once the furniture used, it can be immediately be stored back into the furnishings. The purpose will be to make the room more spacious, because not many items scattered around. The design applied to the furnishing also using a modular system which meant that it can be purchased separately (installment) according to the user needs. Furniture's simplicity is applied for color, material, finishing and construction used to design the furniture. Furnishing with compact systems design is suitable for the ever modest flat house. As the design’s purpose is to make the room looked more spacious, cleaner and importantly it is designed for flat house residents to take out the intended furniture when needed.
