Abstract

Museum is a place that is used as a means of non-formal education and where preservation and recreation. Today, the museum has a problem on the level of security and reduced the number of visitors. Museum of East Nusa Tenggara is one museum that minimal level of security. The museum does not have a local image of the local area on the interior of the building. In addition the museum also less attractive to visitors. That requires re-design on the inside of the building so that the museum can fulfill a recreational values, informative, and educational preserfatif. Re-design is also expected to answer the security issues and presents the image in the local museum. The concept will be applied to the museum is a Journey to the East. This concept will be applied to each element of space and furniture. On the ceiling will be created artificial ceiling that feels like in the wild, then the material used on the floor is natural stone materials are sourced from the East. On walls and furniture will be applied to the formation of a stylized pentagon which symbolizes the protection of the people of the East. In the exhibition hall will be made a special diorama dioramas that tell the story of the formation of the East Nusa Tenggara trip, as well as telling the social life of the people of East Nusa Tenggara. the diorama is expected that the information presented can be easily understood visitors.

Abstract

Aspects of the history contained in the objects of memorabilia compiled as the basis for designing the restaurant to establish an atmosphere and a restaurant marketing competitiveness. Memorabilia itself has a meaning as something that is kept because it is associated with a past history. This concept aims to bring back the atmosphere that existed in 1914-1940 to the present day in the city of Malang. So the effect of that has been adapted to colonial Javanese culture and art deco style design reinforces this concept.

Abstract

Jill Stuart Fashion and Beauty Platform in Surabaya is designed to meet the needs of market demand which appears because of Korean Wave Style which also came to make a big influence in Indonesia. The main facilities at this platform consist of lobby, retail, café, and fashion show runway area. The concept which is used in its Interior is “Pulchritude”, a word that describes something that is pretty, gorgeous and charming, and supported by modern American colonial style as Jill Stuart is a brand which is based in New York. Shabby Chic Style accessories is also added to enhance the space feeling to be like Jill Stuart’s brand image “innocent, pretty, cute and sexy”. The design result which is presented in Jill Stuart Fashion and Beauty Platform are cozy, chic and classy, so the visitors would enjoy the one-stop shopping service in accordance with Jill Stuart’s motto.

Abstract

Interior World Center is a place that contain all needs and matters related to world of interior. The main purpose of Interior World Center is to give access and facilitate people in fulfill their needs that concern and correspond with interior world, that is to say with combine and integrate several interior activity into one in corporated place. Inside of this building there are several commercial space related with the interior world. The commercial spaces will support each other in order to succeed Interior World Center. The commercial spaces are furniture retail and interior accessories, furniture gallery, interior and contractor consultant office, cafe, meeting room, and also room for training and introduction about sustainable design.

Abstract

Interior Designing Training Center of Aikijujutsu Take Sogo Budo in Surabaya is intended to provide all facilities that associated with the sport needs of Aikijujutsu with international standards, so that it can be proper to be used as a Aikijujutsu sport center. Besides, it also provided some supporting facilities such as galleries, shops and office in order to facilitate all the needs of the practitioners of Aikijujutsu. To show the characteristic of Aikijujutsu that quiet, dynamic, assertive and disciplined, therefore this design concept using Japanese traditional style and modern style in order to create an impression of a country where the sport originated and in accordance with the dynamic characteristics of Aikijujutsu. The application of traditional Japanese style seen in the design style that looks simple and functional, the colors that used leads to natural modern color to adjust with the Japanese traditional style that also dominant with natural colors.

Abstract

Srimulat is one artist that is very popular comedy group from Surabaya and people enjoy doing in the 1980s. Wax sculpture is a sculpture made of wax in the melt up to 74 degrees Celsius and a means of supporting the display. For it is necessary to have a tool that can provide a facility to introduce Srimulat with a wax sculpture gallery. In this thesis, the author discusses about the design of a wax sculpture gallery that presents an atmosphere Srimulat periodically and information - information about Srimulat. Taking the concept of "Journey As A Comedian Friend" which is a concept Srimulat journey from the beginning, and to the glorious era terakhinya Srimulat, starting from the creation of space in order to attract visitors by optimizing modern design combined with a pop art style. Srimulat wax figure sculpture gallery is expected to be one - the only place that provides a means of education and introduce Srimulat again to be remembered by the people of Surabaya and Indonesia.

Abstract

Jember is a regency that have a lot of tourism objects and culture that needs to be introduced through Indonesia. Rembangan is one of potential tourism object that needs to be managed. This Unique Dutch Heritage Architecture and Interior  Building is historical. Based on research, Rembangan has been experienced some renovation for a few times, but Rembangan itself had not has a fixed form of building. Jember is famous with a fertile soil and abundant agriculture which becomes one of appeal tourism attraction. The people’s modern lifestyle has also required a changing of the activities pattern and interior needs, which caused there is a needs of facility replenishment that gives comfort and gratification. The facility will not only focus on its function but also from the aesthetic and culture application. The coherency of the function, aesthetic and culture will create an appropriate living environment. The concept application “Luxury in Farming” that gives luxury and farming environment which also the constitute of the soul of the Jember resident to applied in a space create a Rembangan tourism object will be the best hostelry in Jember town.

Abstract

Human in general have a close relationship with nature, but within the current  era development, they begin to part away from nature. Human will feel peaceful when in a nature themed room, because the nature atmosphere that’s quiet so that people are comfortable when in it.                A place that is often used by humans or people in order to relax in general is a café, where people can gather, relax and rest. Surabaya is a big city that has vast  population, so Surabaya needs a lot of cafes that can be placed in various locations.                 A nature-themed café is a solution that can be offered to public as a place to relax when they have finished their work. The café provides an intense atmosphere with nature, so that human’s relationship with nature can restored.

Abstract

Showroom adalah sebuah ruangan yang dibuat dengan tujuan untuk memamerkan produk-produk yang akan dijual di area tersebut. Showroom umumnya hanya memamerkan produk-produk yang bermutu atau memiliki merek yang cukup dikenal. Aturan ini tetap berlaku bagi produk otomotif, sehingga tiap merek otomotif umumnya menekankan memiliki showroom tersendiri. BMW, salah satu merek mobil terkenal di Indonesia juga menekankan showroom perusahaan yang unik. BMW merupakan salah satu brand mobil premium, yang dikagumi dalam hal konsistensinya menghadirkan mobil sport premium dengan performa tinggi, tingkat keamanan yang tinggi, desain yang menarik / berciri khas, nyaman dikendarai serta menghadirkan inovasi-inovasi baru di setiap model yang diperkenalkan. Penataan showroom memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk brand image yang diinginkan pada masyarakat. Desain interior yang baik sangat diperlukan agar showroom sebuah produk sekelas BMW dapat berfungsi dengan baik.

Abstract

St. Paul Catholic Church is one of the Catholic Churches in Surabaya. This church located on the complex of Navy Juanda, on Juanda-Waru street. Trinity is one of the main doctrine in Catholic : the God in three persons : Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In this design work, writer makes a new interior design for this church which supposed to give an illustration about Catholic’ doctrine : The Trinity. The interior that based on doctrine means that the design will reflect the presents of God Trinity, direct or indirect - through the church’s interior. So this design can introducing the Catholic doctrine to society, specially to give comprehension for the Catholic people.
