Abstract

In a saturated market where competition between producers is increasingly competitive and consumers have many choices in each category of goods / services required. This situation resulted in the desire of consumers to be more important than the needs. This results in a state of mind, emotion, sympathy being dominant, so many companies are looking for ways to make strong connections with consumers emotionally. Emotional connections of consumers are also motivated by the discovery that emotional connections bring consumer loyalty to a higher level, and ultimately hope to improve corporate finance. This journal discusses the influence of Emotional Marketing on Purchase Decision through Brand Image Mediation on Nike Products. This study is quantitative with a sample of 120 respondents who are buyers and users of Nike products in West Jakarta. Collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique with SmartPLS program. The results showed that the emotional marketing applied by Nike had a significant positive effect on the brand image as well as the purchase decision with the mediation of brand image. But the brand image does not significantly affect the purchase decision.Keywords: emotional marketing, brand image, purchase decision

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship of leader member exchange on organization identification and turnover intention. Data in this study able to collect 100 questionnaires to all employees at PT Mitra Powerindo Sejahterah Jakarta. Research tools used is Structural Equation Modeling. This study found the relationship between the leader member exchange and turnover intention is mediated by organizational identification. The better leader member exchange and supported by organizational identification, will reduce the employee intent to commit turnovers.Keywords: leader member ex-change; organization identification; turnover intention

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of the debt policy, return on asset and firm size toward company’s dividend policy on listed oil palm plantation companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the years 2010-2014. The used data in this research was secondary data obtained directly from the company website and the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data was analyzed using path analysis by using logistic regression analysis. The results showed that the profitability is significant and negative effect on the debt ratio. Size is not significant and positive on debt ratio. ROA is significant and positive effect on dividend policy. Size is significant and positive effect on dividend policy. The debt ratio is not significant positive effect on dividend policy. Dividend policy is influenced by leverage of the company. ROA has positively effect on dividend policy will be more negattive when DER increase, vice-versa. The positive effect of Size on dividend policy will not be more negative when debt ratios decline.Keywords: debt, company performance, firm size, dividend policy

Abstract

This research is motivated by many countries, especially in Asia region, which apply nation branding to promote tourism. The tight competition makes the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia proclaims nation branding “Pesona Indonesia” to attract the interest of domestic tourists to explore in their own country. Departing from this phenomenon, this study aims to determine whether or not the influence of nation branding on the interest of tourists visiting the archipelago. This research uses quantitative and explanative approach to test the correlation between variables. The method used is survey by distributing questionnaires to 416 respondents with simple random sampling technique. Hypothesis testing shows empirical evidence that a nation branding significant positive effect on interest in visit intention. The dimension of culture heritage contributes the greatest influence of the nation branding on the visit intention.Keywords: nation branding, visit intention, pesona indonesia

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of profitability, liquidity, and firm size of the value of the company with financial performance as an intervening variable of manufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) within period 2014-2016. The sample used is 58 companies. The results showed that profitability variable has significant positive effect on firm value, liquidity variable has insignificant negative effect on firm value, and firm size has no effect and positive on firm value. Profitability and liquidity has significant positive effect on financial performance, while firm size has no effect and positive on financial performance. The positive effect which are owned by profitability, liquidity, and firm size on firm value will be positive and strengthened when the performance of the company is increased.Keywords: profitability, liquidity, firm size, firm value, financial performance

Abstract

Capital market conditions, a country heavily influenced by various factors namely internal and external macro-economic state that the influence of other countries. This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of the Hang Seng Index, Rupiah exchange rate to the US dollar, inflation, and interest rates BI on Stock Price Index (CSPI) in the period 2010- 2015, either partially or simultaneously. Data used in the form of secondary data obtained through related websites. Data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis with significance level of 0.05. The conclusion of this study is during the period of 2010- 2015, the partial Hang Seng Index, Rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar, and the inflation rate significantly affect JCI. While the BI rate has no effect on JCI. In addition it was found that the value of R-square is 59.3%. This means that 59.3% JCI movement can be predicted through the four independent variables.Keywords: JCI, macro-economics, Hang Seng Index

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of liquidity toward profitability. The sample used in this study is a company engaged in the manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia stock exchange (IDX) of the period of 2011-2015. The independent variable in this study is the current ratio, quick ratio, super-quick ratio, current assets turnover ratio, inventory turnover ratio, and the average collection period towards profitability return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE), return on capital and the self-employed (ROCE). The number of samples used in the study total 83 manufacturing companies by using purposive sampling. The results of empirical research using the method of regression analysis of the data panel. The results of this research indicate that the variable super-quick ratio/cash ratio has a significant negative influence towards profitability return on assets (ROA) and inventory turnover ratio has a significant negative influence towards profitability return on capital (ROCE) self-employed, while the current ratio, quick ratio, super-quick ratio, current assets turnover ratio, inventory turnover ratio, and the average collection period has no effect on the profitability of the return on assets (ROA) , return on equity (ROE), return on capital and the self-employed (ROCE).Keywoards: current assets turnover ratio, current ratio, firm performance, inventory turnover ratio, liquidity, profitability, quick ratio, super-quick ratio.

Abstract

In this modern era, awareness that to increase competitiveness is not only depend on owned tangible resource, intangible resource strength such as Intellectual Capital. cash flowand availability of fund (liquidity) of a firm is also important to sustain it’s life. Those are considered as one of the important component of financial report that would be considered by both domestic investors and foreign investors. Nowadays a firm is also expected to take responsibility to the society both socially and naturally, also known as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).Purpose of this research is to understand the impact of intellectual capital, cash flow changes, liquidity, and CSR as moderating variabel against value of the firm, as a model to control conflict of agency. This research is taking manufacturing industry which are registered in Indonesian stock exchange in year 2014-2015 as population. By using purposive sampling technique.Research result based on testing of those three independent variables (intellectual capital, cash flow changes, and liquidity) and moderation variable (CSR) which done simultaneously in year 2014-2015 shows there is a significant impact and moderating the relation between independent variable and dependent variables, therefore, intellectual capital, cash flow changes, liquidity and CSR can be used as consideration for the investors in taking investment decision.Keywords: Intellectual capital, cash flow, liquidity, Corporate Social Responsibility, value of the firm

Abstract

Speaking skill is one of productive skill in English subject but most of the third graders of Pelita Bangsa Christian Primary School Lumajang had difficulties to develop and increase their speaking ability. The result of students’ speaking test showed only 54% of students had passed the minimum score and 62% of students engaged during the class. This classroom action research aimed to improve the students’ ability to speak English and their engagement through the development of song, word map, game and role play technique. The subjects in this study were thirteen students of third grade in Pelita Bangsa Christian Primary School Lumajang by using Kemmis and Taggart model. It was implemented through two cycles and conducted from November 2013 until May 2014. The results of students’ speaking test showed that the development of song, word map, game and role play technique improved the students’ speaking skill up to minimum score from 54% (before CAR) to 69% in cycle 1 and to 84,6 % in cycle 2. While the students’ engagement had increased from 62% (before CAR) to 85% in cycle 2. In conclusion, the development of song, word map, game and role play technique improved speaking skill and engagement of the third graders of Pelita Bangsa Christian Primary School Lumajang.Keywords: song, word map, game dan role play, speaking skill
