Abstract

Coronavirus disease was first discovered in the city of Wuhan, China in December 2019. Due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection, many infected patients have died including in the United States. Data obtained from the official web of Data Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows a high mortality rate due to Covid-19. This study aims to analyze the Covid-19 mortality rate by region using the Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC) method and find the optimal cluster validity using the Silhouette Index (SI) method. Clustering the Covid-19 death rate using the AHC method is needed to understand the pattern of death rates due to Covid-19 and assist in making policies for pandemic prevention and handling. This research resulted in the optimal number of clusters at n clusters = 2 with cluster-1 high mortality rate of 12,307 object and cluster-2 low mortality rate of 13,498 object. The results of this study can thoroughly analyze Covid-19 death data such as revealing some important findings and input that can be proposed to improve the quality of response to future pandemics.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an Android mobile-based cashier application system at Toko Nay Sahabat Alam. The store currently does not have a system that facilitates the sales transaction process, inventory management, and sales and purchase history in a structured manner, which results in less efficient business processes and the risk of operational errors. The proposed cashier application is designed to optimize the sales transaction process, stock inventory management, and display sales and purchase history. The system architecture is implemented using Rest API, with the backend developed using Laravel framework and MySQL database management system. Android mobile application development using Flutter. The development methodology used is agile. Testing is done using the black-box testing method and the results show that all application features run as expected. End-user testing was also conducted using a questionnaire to measure user satisfaction with the application. The questionnaire results showed that most users were satisfied with this application as a whole, with 57.1% of respondents giving the highest score of 5, 35.7% giving a score of 4, and 7.1% giving a neutral score of 3. The system implementation results can improve operational efficiency, minimize errors in the transaction process, and facilitate more effective transaction and inventory data management.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an academic service information system based on a recommender system in the Department of Computer Engineering at UHO to address challenges in managing academic documents and enhancing user satisfaction. The methods employed include needs analysis, web-based system prototype development, and evaluation using Black Box Testing to ensure system functionality. The implementation of the User-Based Collaborative Filtering (UBCF) algorithm enables the system to provide personalized recommendations to students, assisting them in accessing relevant information while reducing the administrative burden on academic staff. The results of this study indicate that the system is effective in improving academic service efficiency and can serve as a reference for developing similar services in other educational institutions

Abstract

The current government policy is directed towards strengthening the MSME sector to achieve sustainable economic growth. The Ecoprint MSME in Lampung faces several challenges in maintaining the continuity of its business, including a decline in sales, limited capital and raw materials, as well as the unstable demand for ecoprint products, especially those that are still relatively new. This instability makes it difficult for MSMEs to manage inventory, which hinders the production process. The research method to address the issue of applying Business Intelligence in the strategy for developing superior products in ecoprint MSMEs using the Apriori Algorithm can be approached through Business Intelligence methods. The data used in this study is sales transaction data from June to August 2024. The stages of applying Business Intelligence include Justification, Planning, Business Analysis, Design, and Construction. By applying Business Intelligence and the Apriori Algorithm, MSMEs can compete in the digital era and achieve sustainable success. Based on testing results using Rapidminer, three association rules were obtained: Dress, Hijab with a support of 57% and confidence of 100%; Hijab, Dress with a support of 57% and confidence of 80%; and Hijab, Accessories with a support of 57% and confidence of 80%. The Apriori algorithm is capable of identifying consumer purchase patterns, allowing MSMEs to determine the most in-demand products and adjust their production strategy accordingly. The application of the Apriori algorithm on transaction data has resulted in various unique association rules. The key difference between these rules lies in the combinations of related products. Further analysis shows that the performance of the Apriori algorithm is optimal when using a minimum support value of 50% and a minimum confidence of 80%.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mobile-based makeup artist reservation system at Tanti Makeup Studio to overcome the limitations of conventional booking methods. The current manual reservation system through phone calls or walk-ins has caused several challenges, including scheduling conflicts, inaccurate booking records, lack of visibility into incoming reservations, and operational inefficiencies that hinder business growth. This research utilizes Agile methodology, which incorporates iterative development cycles and continuous feedback integration. Data collection used primary sources through interviews and direct observation, and secondary sources through literature study. The system development process includes requirements analysis, conceptual design, and is followed by implementation and black box testing. The results showed successful implementation of key features including user authentication, package management, scheduling, and payment processing, with all components achieving conformance in functionality testing. The mobile app effectively streamlines the booking process, improves operational efficiency, and enhances customer experience through an intuitive interface and integrated payment system. User validation through a survey of 51 respondents showed strong positive results: 80.4% rated the application as overall easy to use (51% “very easy” and 29.4% “easy”), 86.2% gave high ratings for ease of booking (52.9% highest rating, 33.3% second highest), 80.4% expressed satisfaction with the integrated payment system, 86.3% reported improved time efficiency in the booking process, and 82.4% felt that the confirmation and scheduling process became more efficient. This study concludes that the implemented system successfully overcame the initial challenges of the manual booking process, providing a comprehensive solution for both service providers and customers in the makeup service industry

Abstract

This study developed a salon reservation application based on Android, utilizing Firebase technology as its backend. The application aims to simplify the online reservation process and enhance the efficiency of salon operational management. The methods applied include observation, system design, implementation, and testing. Data was collected through interviews with salon owners, employees, and customers to determine system requirements. The application was built using the Kotlin programming language on the Android Studio platform. Firebase was utilized to provide user authentication, real-time data storage, notification management, and service schedule handling. Testing was conducted using the Black Box method to evaluate functionality without examining the source code. The results showed that features such as login, registration, service selection, scheduling, and notifications performed as expected. Feasibility evaluation involving 47 respondents through questionnaires indicated a high level of satisfaction, with percentage scores ranging from 83.51% to 91.85%. The application successfully improves the efficiency of reservation processes and facilitates real-time reservation data management. The findings conclude that this application effectively addresses issues related to manual reservation systems. Future development may include adding online payment features and enhancing application performance to improve user experience

Abstract

ffective and efficient scheduling of school subjects is essential, especially in schools with a large student population and limited teaching staff, such as SMP Negeri 2 Natar, Lampung. Manual scheduling often leads to conflicts and is time-consuming. This study aims to develop an Android-based application that automates subject scheduling to minimize conflicts and enhance teachers’ productivity. The methodology includes data collection through interviews and observations, followed by application development using the Waterfall method and the Shuffle algorithm. The system uses SQLite for offline data storage and Flutter for the user interface. Testing results show that the application can quickly and effectively create conflict-free schedules, making it easier for teachers to manage their schedules. In conclusion, the application successfully achieves its goal of simplifying the scheduling process and optimizing time management in schools.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of a performance dashboard application to measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Net Promoter Score (NPS). The main issue is the inaccurate measurement of customer satisfaction, making it difficult for management to make the right decisions in designing business strategies. The system development methodology is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, which allows for quick and efficient application development. This system enables the company to effectively monitor and analyze performance data that can aid in better decision-making. With the information provided by this system, the company can adjust its business strategies to improve customer satisfaction, increase loyalty, and achieve its business goals. The research findings show that this dashboard system can provide more accurate insights into customer satisfaction and loyalty, which in turn helps the company improve service performance, address weak areas, and plan more measurable strategic steps to effectively achieve business goals

Abstract

As the digital era develops, the need for photography services is increasing. To meet their needs, many individuals and organizations seek photography services for various purposes, such as personal photo shoots, weddings, and other photography packages. When booking a photography studio, we often encounter obstacles such as the difficulty of finding a suitable studio, determining the price and package, and the slow booking process. By digitalization web-based photography service booking market, we have found a solution that allows customers to easily search for photography studios, view portfolios, and compare prices and packages offered. This allows the photography studio to expand its market reach, faster reservations, and improve the quality of its services. They used PHP programming language and Extreme Programming (XP) method to create a web-based information system to design a photo booking marketplace. Abstract

The advancement of information technology in the era of globalization has opened up new business opportunities through electronic transactions. This is regulated in Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade, which drives the rapid development of e-commerce. The internet and information technology, especially Android devices, have changed people's shopping patterns as well as the way manufacturers promote their products. An example is Rfour Clothing, a fashion business from Wonogiri that focuses on selling truck-themed t-shirts. To overcome the obstacles in offline sales methods and untidy transaction recording, researchers developed an Android-based application for Rfour Clothing with the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method that presents online ordering features, payment gateways, and web based admin dashboards used to manage goods and manage transaction results, so that they can support future business growth; further research is recommended to improve the quality of the interface, add notification features, and strengthen application security to provide a user experience
