Abstract

Abstract: Writing ability is one of the most important skills as called the highest achievement in learning english properly. Sometimes there are lots of sintaksis error that is the words arrangement in a sentence in essay writing. The purpose of this research is to find out the clarification of the sintaksis errors in essay writing. The method used qualitative and description approach of the error analysis. The population is all of the students of Foreign Language Academy (ABA Borobudur, Jakarta) who took the Essay Writing subject. The results showed that the clarification of the sintaksis error as follows: (1) The most grammatical error is Subject/Verb Agreement; it’s about 35%, (2) Verb Tense; 23,3%, (3) Word Choice; 16,7%: (a) Spelling and Capitalization for each of it 8,3%, (b) Singular/Plural Noun 3% and the last (c) Word Order 3,4%. It is recommended to students to pay attention in essay writing properly especially to the grammatical errors that have been recognized.

Abstract

The collaboration between parents and the school teacher is very important in education process in order to achieve the goal. The objective of this research is to find out the effect of parent collaboration with the teacher on student discipline. The research was conducted at junior high school at South Jakarta on September till October 2012. The research used survey method and correlation analysis techniques with samples 250 selected proportionally and questionnaire with Likert Scale model. The research findings are: (1) the parent collaboration with the teacher still on the low level especially communication and parent participation to the role of school is established, (2) there is an effect of parent collaboration with the teacher on the student discipline,(3) the student discipline is effected by the variation of parent collaboration with the teacher.

Abstract

Teenagers are one of investments of the country and they should prepare their capacity buildings include family life planning. However, there are indications of family life planning behavior is not good as it occurs in adolescents in Malang. This study aims to determine the effect of the variables of knowledge and attitude towards family life planning behavior in tenth and eleventh grade of Senior High School / equivalent in District Tumpang Malang. This research used stratified cluster sampling as sampling method. The analytical methods for this research are descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results as follow: (1) variables of knowledge and attitude affectsdirectlyto the adolescent’s behavior of family life planning. (2) Knowledge also indirectly affects the behavior of family life planning through attitude. Therefore, the Family Planning Board (BKB) and Malang Regency High School / equivalent in District Overlapping should work together to improve students' knowledge of family life planning behavior through a more effective counseling.

Abstract

This study is based on representation of the values of local wisdom contained in the paintings Srihadi Sudarsono, especially on two phenomenal works that much as source of inspiration, namely Borobudur and Dance Bedaya Ketawang. The objective of this research is to identify the dimensions of the values of the local wisdom contained in the Srihadi Soedarsono’s paintings. This research is a qualitative research using literature review and analyzed descriptively with explorative approach. The results showed that: (1) an artist's social background with a very strong culture will affect the artistic process which is seen at the works of art produced (2) Representation of local values contained in the Srihadi’s paintings, representing the concept of representation, either individually or in groups, (3) The values of local wisdom in Srihadi’s paintings have values of local knowledge , local values and the local solidarity group dimensions.

Abstract

The planning for patient Discharge Planning including special program to give health education which aims to prepare the patient to go home and to continue the treatment program at home (Potter & Perry, 2005:3). In Persahabatan hospital (Jakarta) the health education been conducted so far but, in implementation has not been maximized yet. The result from surveys on the patient satifaction in Persahabatan hospital was 77,1%. The result still lower in compare to the minimum standard of Indonesia hospital service which found to be 90% (Depkes RI, 2007:12). This research aim to study the relationship health education during patient Discharge Planning with patient satisfaction in Persahabatan hospital. The research was a quantitatif study using descriptive desain. Variables to be observed were the independent variables: health education for DM Discharge patients and the dependent variable: patient satisfaction (reliability, response, guarantee, direct evidence and caring). The sample used here is all DM patient which have been taken care of in Persahabatan hospital during December 2011 until January 2011 which the total number of 76 patients. The result of the study indicated that the health education program have a to find out relationship with patient satisfaction.

Abstract

’Nirmana-Formless Composition’ as a Basic of Fine Art FSR IKJ. Faculty of Fine Art, Jakarta Art Institute (FSR IKJ) is an institution in Indonesia which has important role in producing qualified artists and designers. To produce qualified works, students have to master the basic principles in fine art. One is through the lessons Nirmana as a’ formless composition’. The objectives of this article are (1) to discuss Nirmana, (2) to find out how it affects the primary education of fine art in Faculty of Fine Art IKJ (3) How the teaching pattern of Nirmana lesson that should be given to PDSR students in FSR IKJ so that they can explore their works which being created, have aesthetic values and be able to responsible The methods used in this article are study of literature and analyzed descriptively. The conclusions are: (1) Nirmala is the core which is very important and compulsory to be implemented in any art and design. The Nirmala is subject taught at FSR IKJ which includes the elements existed in any arts and design. (2) By mastering the Nirmala students are able to create and explore their works in arts and design properly and responsively (3) The Nirmala teaching pattern should be well-design and systematically given to the students followed by exercises.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of contagious diseases that are still being a major problem in the world especially in developing countries. Indonesia ranks fifth as the country with the world's highest TB burden in 2009. Based on these conditions it is required a serious effort to mobilize the community to consult and seek medical service of the disease. This research’s aims to examine the influence of social support, knowledge, and perceptions of treatment motivation of TB patients in Pekalongan city as a region which have been able to achieve the target of tuberculosis cases very well. The data used a primary data with a single-stage cluster sampling as the sampling technique where the determination of cluster unit (health centers) used a systematic linear. The analysis method is descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results of research show that social support, knowledge, and perceptions of TB has positive significantly effect on motivation for treatment. Social support from family and tuberculosis officers is variables that have the greatest influence on motivation for treatment. Therefore, the patient's family together with TB officers should always provide help to the patient during the period intensive treatment.

Abstract

River pollution negatively impact on water used as supporting domestic needs, environmental health and economic activity. Economic losses due to river pollution associated with economic valuation. The purpose of this study is: (1) calculate the value of Willingness To Pay (WTP) and the total value of WTP, (2) analyze the variables that influence the willingness to pay Bidaracina. The analysis used is the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and logistic regression. The results showed that: (1) The amount of WTP value is Rp 4.325,00 per month and the total value of WTP is Rp 1.935.576,92 per month , (2) variables that affect the willingness to pay Bidaracina is knowledge of river pollution, home ownership status, education and household income last. Advice can be given: (1) the results of the estimated WTP values can be used for the preservation of the Ciliwung River. (2) needs to be an increase in extension activities and dissemination of information on pollution of the Ciliwung River.

Abstract

In the globalization era, the business processes evolves rapidly and human resources become a very valuable and largest asset for company. Human Capital Management has a strategic role for the organization. The objective of this wiring is to discuss how to make the Human Resource Department which regarded as a cost centre can be made as a profit centre. The methods used library research with the descriptive and explorative approaches. It can be concluded that (1) the implementation of Human Resources Cost Management Technology can reduce administrative costs, consulting cost and service charge, because Human Resources Department could manage the vendor better and improve employee performance. (2) By developing the performance of Human Resources Department, can make their own profit for the company to act as external corporate entity, through providing human resource outsourcing services to the company itself and other companies which is a profitable business. (3) Human Resources Department is no longer as a cost center, but can be a profit center.

Abstract

Nowadays quality and competitiveness as well as an index of the achievements of the graduates the Academy of Maritime in Indonesia is still low. The Government of Indonesia in 2003 has set the standard for quality Maritime System to be implemented in Indonesia's maritime education in Indonesia. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of, and to know the factors supporting factors, and a barrier to the implementation of a standard system of quality Maritime on nautical Maritime Academy courses Djadajat. This research uses evaluation approach to SWOT analysis system. The results showed that: (1) the level of effectiveness of implementation of a standard system of quality Maritime on Nautical Maritime Academy Courses Djadajat, quantitatively has reached 83%. (2) supporting factor, namely: (a) courses have had the vision, mission, goals are clear and realistic and (b) have qualified human resources, faculty and administrative staff are experienced prosesional,(c) implementing competency-based curriculum that is recognized internationally, (d) graduates desperately needed job market in the field of domestic and foreign shipping, (e) opportunities to work in the field of commercial shipping is very open.(3) the factors restricting namely: (a) Not all staff understand the vision, mission and objectives of the program of study, and standard operational procedures (SOP) (b) Coordination, communication and cooperation between work units have not been optimal, (c) the development of human resources is still limited due to the limited funds.
