Abstract

This research talks about the environment of craftsmen, Managerial Capacity andFunding Decision for Small Scale Enterprises in East Java. The population of the studywas 3,711 craftsmen in East Java. Using Slovin formula with a tolerance of 5%, the samplesize was 392 respondents. Test model with Generalized Least Square Estimation (GLS), structural equationmodel (SEM) analysis, proportional random sampling method and Amos 22 software aid,in 392 respondents. The test results show the model (fit) seen from the value of GFI, AGFI,TLI, CFI, RMSEA and CMIN / DF, each of 0.927, 0.914, 0.965, 0.968, 0.072 and 1.284 areall within the expected range of values so that the model can be accepted. The results showed that: 1). There is a direct influence of the craftsman's Environmenton the managerial capacity of the craftsmen by 0.720. 2). There is a direct influence of thecraftsman's Environment on the craftsman's financing decision of 0.679. 3). There is adirect influence of the managerial capacity of the craftsmen on the craftsman's financingdecision of 0.324. 4). There is an indirect influence of the craftsman's Environment on thefinancing decision of the craftsman through the managerial capacity of 0.233. Major indirect linkage between environmental variables of craftsmen and financingvariables of small craft businesses through managerial capacity variables. This indicatesthat the managerial capacity of small craft business will increase, with the management ofthe business environment of the good craftsmen in East Java Province. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand image, price perception, and customer value on purchasing decisions both partially and simultaneously on the Indomaret Lontar Surabaya Mini Marke. The sample amounted to 94 respondents with a sampling technique used is purposive sampling. while the method of data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis, validity and reliability tests and using the classic assumption deviation test and hypothesis testing. Based on the test results indicate that the simultaneous F variable brand image, price perception, and customer value has positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions at 50.6% which means that purchasing decisions can be explained by brand image, price perception, and customer value of 50.6 %, and the remaining 49.4% can be explained by other variables. Partially based on t test variables in this study have positive and significant price perception which have the greatest influence in the amount of 32.9%, while the lowest brand image has the effect of 7.3%.Keywords: Brand Image, Perception Price, Customer Value , Purchasing Decisions.

Abstract

Small fishermen only able to utilize the resources in coastal area with the catch products that tend to decline continually, due to the competition with large ships and the decline of coast resources qualities. Catch products also easy to damage thus weaken their bargain position in sales transaction. In addition to the fish resources the sea zone of Sampang Regency also contains various kinds of resources, both renewal and non-renewal resources, and environmental services, both in the sea and in its coastal area. Sea zone of Sampang Regency is one of zones with the biological diverse and rich of mine and mineral materials and it potential for the development of industrial, tourism, fishery, settlement activities and so forth. Because of the potentials then it needed the presence of economic empowerment for the community in Sampang Regency, through the economic moral and the entrepreneurship level. Population in this research was the 171 fishermen in Sampang Regency of Madura, consisted of 49 fishermen of PEMP members and a number of 122 fishermen of self-fund fishermen. From the testing result on the model in this research, by the Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE), the structural equation model (SEM) analysis, the proportional random sampling method and the assistance of software Amos 22, on 140 respondents. The research result indicated that: 1) Economic moral has significant effect on economic behavior. 2) Entrepreneurship level has significant effect on economic behavior. 3) Economic moral has significant effect on fishermen household economic welfare. 4) Entrepreneurship level has significant effect on fishermen household economic welfare. 5) Fishermen economic behavior has significant effect on fishermen household economic welfare. Of the three variables hypothesized as influential on fishermen household economic welfare in this research, whose value largest is the direct relevance between the fishermen entrepreneurship and the fishermen household economic welfare. This case affirms that the fishermen entrepreneurship level is very dominant to influence the fishermen household economic welfare in Sampang Regency of Madura. Key words:      economic moral, entrepreneurship level, economic behavior, fishermen economic welfare

Abstract

Abstract: East Java Province has the potential to develop the business housewares made from aluminum. Industry is very promising and has good prospects. Demand for refined products result from this in the form of aluminum household appliances market is very attractive both in neneri market and overseas market. For overseas market demand of houseware products made from aluminum are from Japan, India, the Netherlands and China.Potential industry of household appliances are made of aluminum in East Java feasible to be developed. Based on household demand akanperalatan higher, both in local and international markets. Demand for household appliances for the local market is currently very high but still a small portion of raw materials imported from china. As a result, prices tend to rise.Key words: Aluminum, Industrial Appliances, Business Feasibility.

Abstract

Human resources play a very important as human as the wheels of all companyactivities. Efforts to improve the performance of the system conducted well-definedleadership and motivation to improve employee morale. This study aims to examine andanalyze the influence of transformational leadership and work motivation on the performanceof employees of PT. Media Nusantara Informasi Jawa Timur Bureau. Data were collectedused survey through questionnaires and carried out at 50 employees of PT. MNI Bureau ofJawa Timur. Data analysis in this study used SPSS version 17. The technique used ispurposive sampling and testing techniques of data used in this study include testing thevalidity of the factors, testing reliability analysis with Cronbach's alpha. Analysis of dataused multiple linear regression analysis, to test and prove the research hypotheses. Theanalysis showed that transformational leadership has a positive effect on employeeperformance and work motivation positive effect on employee performance.Keyword: Transformational leadership, motivation to work, performance of employees.

Abstract

Stryker, diantara Zimmer dan Smith & Nephew, adalah salah satu perusahaan manufaktur implant ortopedi terkemuka di dunia. Sejarah perusahaan dimulai tahun 1941 ketika Dr Homer Stryker membentuk perusahaan ortopedi dan menjadi satu-satunya pemegang saham sebanyak 5.000 saham, senilai $ 20.000.Stryker beroperasi di 89 negara di seluruh dunia. Amerika adalah pasar utama perusahaan, sedangkan sisanya dari dunia mewakili 35% dari pangsa penjualan. Stryker berkantor pusat di Michigan dan sebagian besar fasilitas manufaktur berlokasi di Amerika Serikat. Namun, Stryker mengoperasikan pabrik di Jerman, Swiss, Prancis, Irlandia, Cina, Georgia, dan Puerto Rico. Dua area bisnis utama adalah implan ortopedi (59%) termasuk implan pinggul, implant lutut, sistem implan craniomaxillofacial, implan tulang belakang, implan trauma, semen tulang dan, peralatanMedSurg (41%) termasuk peralatan bedah dan sistem navigasi, endoscopic dan sistem komunikasi, produk perangkat medis dan peralatan gawat darurat.Stryker berada di peringkat  ke 323 perusahaan terbesar di Amerika Serikat pada tahun 2011 (Fortune 500, 2011), perusahaan yang paling inovatif ke-95 dunia (Forbes "perusahaan paling inovatif di dunia", 2011), peringkat ketiga di dunia yang paling dikagumi Perusahaan di Kedokteran & Lainnya Precision Equipment (Fortune "perusahaan dunia Paling dikagumi", 2011), dan menduduki peringkat ke-68 perusahaan terbaik untuk bekerja (Fortune"100 perusahaan terbaik untuk bekerja", 2011). Penjualan Stryker telah terus meningkat selama 31 tahun dan mencapai 7,3 miliar dolar pada tahun 2010. Tingkat pertumbuhan tahunan gabungan dalam penjualan adalah sebesar 20% untuk periode 31 tahun. Dari hasil pengujian terhadap model pada penelitian ini, dengan menggunakan random sampling, analisis structural equation model (SEM), dan bantuan software Amos 20, pada 100 responden,  mampu menjelaskan hubungan faktor promosi, harga, dan produk terhadap keputusan pembelian di PT. Gana Semesta Mandiri. Pada penelitian ini, didapat 1). Produk  berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian. 2). Harga berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian. 3). promosi  berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian. pada PT. Gana Semesta Mandiri. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa produk, harga dan promosi yang baik yang terdapat di PT. Gana Semesta Mandiri Surabaya secara bersama bila dikelola dengan baik, akan dapat meningkatkan keputusan pembelian konsumen.Kata kunci: PT. Abstract

This study talks about the Effect of Total Quality Managemet Factors on Improvingthe Quality of Secondary School Education in Surabaya. The research population is allteachers of Senior High School who have worked for 5 years at least. A sample of 150Teachers.Result of research: 1). From result of test "F" that variable = X1 = quality dimension; X2= Focus on learners; X3 = Leadership; X4 = Sustainability Improvement and X5 = HumanResource Management simultaneously influence Educational Quality Improvement, this issupported by the value of R Square (R²) of 0.752 and F = 9.589 with Sig = 0.001 <= 0.05.2). From the result of t test (partial test), it can be concluded that from the 5 variables thathave partial influence is the Variable The quality dimension has the effect of 20.1% to theimprovement of the Quality of Education, and has the contribution value on the change ofEducation Quality improvement equal to = 4.1%. Variable X3 = Leadership has influenceof 33.1% to the improvement of Education Quality, and has contribution value on changeof Education Quality improvement = 11.0% with value of Sig 0.000 <= 0.05. TheContinuous Improvement Variable has an influence of 18.4% on the improvement ofEducation Quality h, and has contribution value on the change of Education Qualityimprovement in Surabaya State High School equal to = 0.034% with value of sig 0.000 <=0.05.Keywords: Total Quality Managemet, Quality Improvement of Education.

Abstract

This study  aims to  examine and analyze the influence  of the working environment of communication  and  leadership to wards the  performance of employees in the education department  of Tarakan  city. Data  collection  was done by distributing questionnaires and  carried out  on 48 people who were samples in this  research. The sample  technique  used is random  and data testing  techniques  used in this research include validity test with factor analysis, reliability test with Alpha Cronbach. Multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the t test showed that the partial variable of the working environment has positive and significant effect on the performance  of employees in the education departmet of tarakan city, so the hypothesis in the proposed proved true (T-test = 2,731 > T-table  2.012) .T test results showed that the communication variables have a positive and significant impac on the performance of employees in the education  departmet  of tarakan  city, so the hypothesis  in the proposed proved true (T-test  = 3,339 > T-table   2.012). T test results  showed that  the Leadership to word variables have a positive and significant impac on the performance of employees  in the education  departmet  of tarakan  city, so the hypothesis in the proposed proved  true  (T-test  = 2,846  > T-table   2.012)  The results of f test showed that the working enviroment  of comunication  and leadership  positiv  effect  and  significant  to the  performance of employees in the education departmet  of tarakan  city , so the hypothesis  in the proposed proved true  (F-test = 81,195 > F-tabel 2,82).

Abstract

The business world of telecommunications is now a full decade with the changes thatare filled with newcomers in the business world of telecommunications. The changes andupheavals are not just fast, unpredictable and complex, but also contradictory and couldlead to a crisis (Pierce & Robinson, 1994). To respond to these changes companies need tofundamentally rethink their strategy, structure, performance in order to have the ability tocompete in the increasingly fierce competition conditions. The company is required tocontinuously adjust its strategic planning related to the company business environment sothat the chosen strategy is always appropriate.In order to find the appropriate marketing strategy formulation then it is needed efforts toidentify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats faced by the company. Forthose reasons, this study was held which focused on the determination efforts of themarketing strategy that appropriate with the company condition in the middle ofcompetition. Research conducted in Indosat M3 in particular on its Smart product used aqualitative method by using respondent of employees who have an understanding of themarket conditions that amounted to 15 people. Data collection tool used was a structuredquestionnaire with closed-type questions. The results of this study indicated that thestrategy formulation suggested for Indosat M3 Smart is an investment strategy byemphasizing on distribution and pricing strata such as make empowering potential outlets,cooperate with Bank Mandiri and BCA, as well as the incentives system for the interestingchanneling. Thus, Indosat M3 Smart products can feature their competitive advantage ifcompared to other similar competitors.Keywords: IM3, Telecommunications, Marketing Strategy, SWOT Analysis.

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this study to analyze the influence of Entrepreneur orientation and market orientation to corporate performance of Small Medium Scale Industries (SMEs) in Surabaya. This study include descriptive exploratory methodes with taking 75 sample of SMEs with the owner or manager as respondents, data gathered by using questionnaire instrument. The results showed that the effect of variable- entrepreneurial oriented is significantly influence to corporate performance, but the marketing orientation dit not significantly affect to corporate performance of SMEs in the city of Surabaya, while the hypothesis test using F-test shows that there is significantly influence between Entrepreneur and Market oriented to corporate performance because the value of probability significant found smaller than alfa 0.05, this mean that the SMEs in Surabaya should adopt Entreprenuer oriented for continue the operation of their business. Besides, SMEs also should adopt market oriented to improve performance and highly competitive, especially in the face of the implementation of the Asean Economic Community in the end of 2015.Key words: Entreprenuer Oriented, Market Oriented and SMEs performance.
