Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between social support and selfefiaksi to employees affected by layoffs. The hypothesis of this study is that there is arelationship between social support and self-efficacy of employees affected by layoffs.This study was conducted on employees affected by layoffs at Semple number 70 usingrandom sampling techniques. Data collected through scale social support, self-efficacyscale and scale resilience of employees affected by layoffs. Data were analyzed withregression analysis showed a significant correlation between social support and selfefficacywith the resilience of affected employees dismissal from work, there is arelationship hypothesis (F Reg = 126 126 p = 0.000). Furthermore, the hypothesis thatsocial support and resilience of employees affected by layoffs no relationship (Reg F =4.667 p = 0.495), whereas self-efficacy with the resilience of the employees affected bylayoffs no relationship (Reg F = 4.994 p = 0.517)Keywords : Resilience, Social Support, Self Efficacy

Abstract

This study aimed to obtained self-acceptance process in indigo person and to soughtfactors that play significant roles in the process of self-acceptance in indigo person. The methodused was qualitative method in the form of case study. Subjects in this study are two subjects. Thefirst subject was a 22 year-old women, while the second subject was a 20-year-old woman. Bothsubjects have special characteristics as an individual and ever done a photo indigo aura.The resultsof this study showed that both subjects have a different perception of the special characteristics theyhad. The first subject has a positive self-acceptance, described by how she understands hercharacteristics, free from shame or guilt, and has realistic expectations as indigo person. While thesecond subject did not have fully acceptance, she has lack acceptance regarding her characteristics.This was because the second subject was still confused, angry, and ashamed of their characteristicsas an indigo person. Factors that affect individual self-acceptance in indigo consist of thesupporting factors and inhibiting factors.Keywords : self acceptance, indigo individuals

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem, religiosity and thewillingness of women in polygamy. The population in this study were women who are notmarried and have been married. The research sample was 109 women, using purposive randomsampling technique. Results of research by chi-square analysis: 1) The relationship betweenself-esteem with a willingness polygamous, X2 values obtained by 29,329, with significant levelof p = 0.000 (p = 0.000 <0.01). 2) The relationship between religiosity and willingnesspolygamy X2 values obtained for 5,067 with a significance level of p = 0.079 (p = 0.079 > 0.05).3) This study shows that as many as 18.34% of respondents said it was willing polygamy. While56.88% said it was not willing to polygamy, and 24.77% said can not decided. .4) There areseveral reasons behind women willingness to polygamy, not willing to polygamy and can notdecide to polygamy..Keywords : Self-Esteem, Religiosity, Willingness polygamy

Abstract

Abstract                 The fulfillment of children's right to participation in Kupang (East Nusa Tenggara) was still very low. Children only, as object of manipulation, decoration, and symbols in decision-making process. This issue become important for research cause right of participation can help grow up children confidence, communication skill, and social development. This descriptive qualitative study have purpose to describe levels of children’s participation in family. Subjects numbered 15 people consist of eight children aged under 18 years, three facilitators of children’s forum, and four parents. Sources of data are selected based on purposive sampling technique. Data collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that children assume that family has not been optimally fulfill children's right to participation. Many decisions are made unilaterally by parents, without listening to the opinion of the child first. Kupang society had a patriarchal culture that characteristic in educate children with violent. Children’s  opinions were often not considered, in contrast opinion of the adults were the most appropriate and correct.       Keyword: right of participation, children, parents, children’s forum

Abstract

Abstract                Social competence is the ability to interact precisely and maintain relationships that have been created, so that it can be received positively by the people around him. Social competence needs to be developed since the individual is still at the age of the children. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of game gobak sodor to increase social competence of children. Subjects of the study were 16 children taken using purposive sampling technique from the study population of 100 students. Criteria of research subjects are children aged 7-8 years and have never played the game sodor gobak. The research data was collected using the children's social competence scale and sociometry. The result of data analysis using Mann Whitney Test obtained significance level of p = 0.001 (p, 0.05), meaning there is significant difference of social competence between experiment group and control group. The Mann Whitney test on the male subject group and the female subject group obtained significance of p = 0.885 (> 0.05), meaning that there is no difference in social competence between boys and girlKeywords: Children's Social Competence, Gobak Sodor, Gender

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship betweensocial support, emotional intelligence with resilience teachers of extraordinaryschools (SLB) in Surabaya .this study conducted on teachers who teach inextraordinary schools by the number of study subjects were 100 people who are inifive schools. Collection data in the form of social support scala consisting of 26item, emotional intelligence of 20 items and teacher resilience 26 item. That measureinstruments have valid and reliabilitas. Data were analyzed using multiple regresionanalysis. The result of multiple regression analysis showed that variables of socialsupport, emotional intelligence have a significant relation with resilience(F=50.893; p=0,000). This suggests that there is a positive and signifikactcorrelation between social support and emotional intelligence with resilience ofteacher. From the result of calculation for each variables to the resilience, it’sknown that emotional intelligence (0,239%) more contributes to resilience thansocial support(0,562%).Keywords : social support, emotional intelligence, resilience

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between Meaningin Life and Emotional Stability at depression level. Subjects were students who enterthe category of early adulthood (19-25 years) in Yogyakarta. Number 93 researchsubjects. Regression analysis showed: (1) here was a significant relationship betweenemotional stability, Meaning in Life and Depression level , with a coefficient F =17.494 , p = 0.000 ; p < 0.05 ( 2 ) obtained regression line equation is Y = 106.2120421x1 - x2 0511 , where Y is the Depression , X1 and X2 are Meaning in Life isEmotional Stability . Negative coefficient in Meaning in Life and Stability Emotionsgive meaning or effect the opposite relationship with Depression . If Meaning in Lifeand Emotional Stability increases, the depression will decrease and vice versa if theMeaning in Life and Emotional Stability decreased it will increase the Depression

Abstract

This study aims to test or not the relationship between the perceptions about the methods of Service-Learning and self concept with prosocial behavior in the students. Earlier predictions put forward in this study is there is a relationship between them.The selected subjects in this research are a student of Petra Christian University in Surabaya which are already taking courses with method of Service-Learning. Data retrieval done through measuring scale: 3 prososial behavior, perceptions about the methods of Service-Learningand self concept.At the time of data taken, item of prosocial behavior amounted to 106,item ofperceptions about Service-Learning method amounted 70 and item of self concept amounted 72 item. After analysis of the data done, item of prosocial behavior amounted49, item of perceptions about Service-Learning methods amountedto 55 and item of self concept amounted23. The data analysis done on a computerized program SPSS version 20 generates price R ² = 0.768 level of significance 0.000. This means the variable perceptions about Service-Learning Method and variable self concept are jointly contributing to the significance of the relationship with the Prosocial Behavior of variable as much as 76.8%. Partially, the effective contribution of the variable perceptions about Service-Learning method of 73.93% and the variable self concept of 2.88%, while the remaining 23.2% is assumed to be derived from other variables that are not yet represented in this research.Keywords : prososial behavior, perceptions, service-learning, self-concept.

Abstract

This study aims to reduce body dissatisfaction in women in the period of emerging adulthood with gratitude intervention. Subjects of this study consisted of two people experiencing body dissatisfaction. This study used a quasi-experimental methods. Data making assessment conducted by interview, observation, body shape questionnaire, and gratitude questionnaire. Statistically the result showed that there is no gratitude intervention can not reduce body dissatisfaction (p= 0,180 > 0,05), but descriptive analysis showed that gratitude intervention gave positive result by reducing body dissatisfaction. The characteristic of body dissatisfaction are not confidence, never satisfied with their body, comparing their self to others who has more ideal body, sensitive, have a need for support and happy to get a compliment.Keywords : body dissatisfaction, gratitude intervention

Abstract

The purpose of this study to examine the relationship between self-acceptanceand social support and happiness in the elderly community. Research variables weremeasured using a scale of self-acceptance, social support scale and the scale ofhappiness. Subjects were 90 elderly spread over the area Ketintang, Rungkut andSidoarjo, ages 65 years and older. Data were analyzed using regression analysis. Theresults showed that the variables of self-acceptance and social support associated withhappiness. Where happiness has a significant relationship with self-acceptance andsocial support with results in F = 25.084 and p = 0.00 (p <0.01). With the obtainedpartial test Parthia r = 0,143l and t = 1.356, p = 0.178 (p> 0.05) means there is noconnection between self-acceptance with happiness. Social support relationships withhappiness obtained partial r = 0.424 and t = 2.728, p = 0.008 (p <0.001), meaning thereis a positive relationship between social support and happinessKeywords : self-acceptance, social support, happiness
