Those samples were given questionnaire Vertigo Symptom Scale-Short Form and were tested for the balance to find out vertigo. Data was analyzed with Fisher Exact Test. Results: After the research to 25 patients with refractive error, 6 of 25 patients had vertigo. The second group, samples without refractive error had no vertigo. The result of Fisher Exact Test showed p value= 0,022 (p<0,05). Conclusions: There was effect of refractive error on vertigo to patients at Ophthalmology Department of Dr. Moewardi Hospital. There are five parts of the questionnaire (1) Informed consent; (2) Personal Information; (3) L-MMPI Questionnaire; (4) Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale Questionnaire; (5) Interpersonal Support Evaluation List Questionnaire. Inclusion and exclusion were applied. The number of total sample was 102. Data analyzed using Kolmorgov-Smirnov and Pearson using SPSS Statistics. Results: Pearson's Product-Moment Correlation using SPSS Statistics suggest that the correlation coefficient was -0.24 (p=0.015). The value p < 0.05 suggests that there was specific correlation between social support and anxiety. The negative symbol suggest that higher levels of social support were related to lower levels of anxiety of First Year Female Medical Student in Faculty of Medicine Sebelas Maret University. Samples were elderly men who met the inclusion criteria which was set by the writer. 30 males were chosen to participate in the study. Data were collected through self-administered questionnaires and an interview. Data analyzed by Lambda correlation test. Results: Most patients with erectile dysfunction samples were elderly category (60-74 years) as many as 22 people (73.33%). Lambda correlation test showed no correlation of 0.000 indicates that there is a very weak relationship between elderly and the incidence of erectile dysfunction. Conclusions: Based on this study, it can be concluded that there was a very weak relationship between elderly and the incidence of erectile dysfunction. Keywords: Elderly, erectile dysfunction.

During its development, a teenager is vulnerable with an identity crisis and depression. Being neighborhoods far away from parents spur the onset of depression. This study aims to find out the depression rate between among high school students of class XII SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta who live in dormitories and live with their biological parent. Methods: The study was an analytical observational research using cross sectional approach implemented in Agustus 2013 in SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta. The sample was taken using total sampling for the entire class XII. Purposive random sampling conducted for the dormitory student that can represent the whole dormitory students and performed simple random sampling for students who live with their own biological parents according to the number of samples required (sample of dormitory students). The samples filled in ( 1 ) Curriculum vitae form, (2) L - MMPI questionnaire to find out the respondents truthfulness in completing the questionnaire, ( 3) BDI questionnaire to assess depression score, score ? 9 means no depression and score > 9 means depression. Data obtained 72 students as the subject of research and the data were foanalyzed using Chi Square test through SPSS 17.00 for Windows . Results: This research showed the Chi Square (X2) value is 0,084, while the price of X2 table on db = 1 at the 0.05 significance level is 3.481. This means that the X2 count < X2 table. In addition the p-value calculated is 0.772 or p > 0.05, then the null hypothesis is accepted. Chi-square test results showed that there was no significant difference of depression level between students living in dormitories and students living with their biological parents. Conclusion: There was no difference of depression level among class XII students who live in dormitories and who live with their biological parents in SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta. Abstract

Background: The incidence of Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM) approaches 10% of all delivered which one of the most pregnancy complications. During the latency period of PROM, the bacterias raise inflammation in the vagina, move up in the fetal membranes, umbilical cord, and placenta. Fetal infection caused by aspiration of infected amniotic fluid may lead neonatus stillbirth, preterm delivery, or neonatal sepsis. This study conducted to prove the differences of the incidence in neonatal infection based on the latent period of PROM at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta Hospital. Methods: An observational analytic study with cross sectional method conducted to mother criteria which were term gestation, aged around 20-35 years old, spontaneous vaginal delivery, give birth an infant with a birth weight ? 2500 grams. The independent variable was a latent period of PROM while the dependent variable was a neonatal infection. The subjects were divided into two groups: PROM < 24 hours and PROM ? 24 hours. Further, their neonatal were observed the results of blood culture, leukocyte, neutrophil, thrombocyte, and temperature through medical records. The variable was analyzed by Chi Square test. Results: The subjects were 64 samples in two groups, each consisted of 32 samples. The result of the test stated that the p -value was 0.040 (p < 0.05) with RR = 3.400, thus it could be conclude that there was a statistically significant difference in the incidence of neonatal infection based on the latent period of PROM, where the neonatal at PROM ? 24 hours had opportunity 3.4 times more than the risk of infection of the PROM < 24 hours. Conclusion: There was a statistically significant difference in the incidence of neonatal infection based on the latent period of PROM at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta Hospital. Abstract

Background: Anesthesia is an important part of the surgery. Sevoflurane and isoflurane are two inhalation anesthesia drugs have been commonly used. During anesthesia, one of indicators should be monitored is frequency of pulse. This research aimed to know the effects of these two drugs to the frequency of pulse. Methods: This research was an analytical observational research with the approach of cross sectional. The sample was taken by consecutive sampling after being selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Totally, 50 patients were divided into two groups of inhalation anesthetic sevoflurane and inhalation anesthetic sevoflurane and isoflurane. Data was analyzed with independent t test. Results: The p values on t-independent test in the early phase of the pulse frequency, phase induction and phase intubation were 0.04; 0.00; 0.02, and of the phase 5 of incision, 10of incision and 15of incision were 0.02; 0,0; 0.03. This results showed statistical significant of mean of pulse-frequency difference between sevoflurane and isoflurane in each of phase of inhalation anesthesia. Conclusions: Both sevoflurane and isoflurane influence the frequency of pulse. The mean of pulse frequency by isoflurane is higher than sevoflurane. However, inhalation anesthesia sevoflurane provides better stability than isoflurane. Keywords: Anesthetic Inhalation, Frequency of Pulse, Isoflurane, Sevoflurane

Abstract

Introduction: Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus haemolyticus were some of bacteria that often found in pus specimen. Unlike S. aureus, which is true pathogen, S. haemolyticus which is known by opportunistic bacteria were not considered as caused of infection. Therefore, the need of comparative data that can determine whether S. haemolyticus were cause of infection or just colonization was necessary. The purpose of this research is to compare clinical profile of patients with S. aureus and S. haemolyticus found in pus specimen. Methods: This study was a descriptive research using cross-sectional approach. The object of the research were patients medical records which have been identified by pus culture with positive result of Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus haemolyticus on 2013-2014. Sampling was held during November and December 2015 at Dr. Moewardi Hospital, Surakarta with inclusion and exclusion criterias. Sampling was done and 69 people taken from the population. The data was statically analyzed by frequency distributive technique. Result: In 2 years, it is found that patients with Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus haemolyticus are dominantly by men. Most of patients are adult (19-65 years old). Body temperature of patients with Staphylococcus aureus risk 2,04 times of increasing than patients with Staphylococcus haemolyticus. Conclusions: There are differences in clinical profile of patient with Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus haemolyticus on pus specimen at Dr. Moewardi Hospital.
