Abstract

Farmer's group Berkah usaha at the beginning originally had two types of livestock businesses which are cattle and sheep. However, Berkah Usaha is focusing on cattle only. The development of the cattle business in this group is important to fulfil the increasing national demand for beef each year. This development of cattle business is also in line with the program of the local government of Blora which is making this district as a centre of cattle farm production. This study aims to formulate the cattle business development strategy for Berkah Usaha group by identifying the main internal and external factors. The study used four key informants as a respondent to identify the group's business environment and formulate business strategies. The analytical method used are IFE, EFE, IE, and SWOT matrix. The results showed that the Berkah Usaha's main internal key factors are cattle feed business and qualified cattle breeds while the main external key factors are government policies and climate variability. The results of this study also showed that there are six alternative business development strategies such as collaboration to develop regional livestock cluster and procurement of good cattle breeds.

Abstract

The main source of farmer households in West Halmahera is coconut plantations. Coconut fruit is produced, some are sold in the form of whole fruit, some are processed into copra. For this agro-industry development effort to work effectively, it is necessary to determine the type of coconut agroindustry that will be developed by considering the factors that increase, the efforts of the businesses involved and the objectives of each of the agro-industries. The purpose of this study was to determine the priorities of coconut agro-industry that had to be developed in West Halmahera Region. The data were analyzed using the Process Hierarchy Analysis (AHP) approach and internal-external factor. The results showed that the virgin coconut oil (VCO) agro-industry had the highest priority in the development of coconut agro-industry in West Halmahera. By the development of this agro-industry, business actors will gain added value, affect the increase in income, and will open new jobs in the rural area. The important factors that have influenced the development of agro-industry were human resources (HR) and asset. Furthermore, each actor involved has a firm role and linkage to each of the determinants of agro-industry business development. Farmers have the main role (37%) on the availability of raw materials, farmer groups have strong correlation (42%) to human resources, the government plays an important role (42%) in infrastructure development, and academics have an enormous contribution (34%) in providing technology for the development of agro-industry. Overall, the most important actors in the development of coconut agro-industry in West Halmahera are farmer groups. The Strategy applied to agro-industry virgin coconut oil (VCO) at West Halmahera Region is intensive: market penetration, market development and product development.

Abstract

The research marketing efficiency of red cayenne pepper was located in the Cidatar part of Cisurupan regency Garut district purposed to know marketing channel, marketing margin, and farmer’s share. The research used descriptive analysis method. About 31 farmers were chosen with a random sampling method and with the snowball method to got 10 sellers. Interview and observation in collecting primary data while the documentation to retrieve secondary data. There are five red cayenne pepper marketing channels in Cidatar, Cisurupan District, Garut Regency. The marketing channels are, I) farmer – a collector – wholesaler Jakarta – retailer – consumer Jakarta; II) farmer – a collector – wholesaler Cikajang– retailer – consumer Cikajang; III) farmer – a collector – wholesaler Cikajang – wholesaler Jakarta – retailer – consumer Jakarta; IV) farmer – a collector – wholesaler Bandung – retailer – consumer Bandung; V) farmer – a collector – wholesaler Bandung – wholesaler Jakarta – retailer – consumer Jakarta. The margin analysis results that the smallest marketing margin is in marketing channel II at 52,3 per cent. The largest Farmer’s share is at 47 per cent in marketing channel II and the biggest ratio of πi/Ci is at 5,64 in marketing channel III. The suggestion that can be given to farmers is to choose marketing channel I because channel I am the channel with the great packing volume that may be delivered by the market and also the highest price compared to other marketing channels.

Abstract

Food is a basic need and access to food is a human rights that must be fulfilled. Meeting food needs is the main target of food policy carried out by the government, especially for the poor household. One of the government's policies in terms of food is Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT). The purpose of this study was to analysis the food demand for BPNT's beneficiary household and not receiving BPNT. This study used primary data on food consumption with the highest share of expenditure of poor households in Bogor City. Demand for food was estimated by LA-AIDS (Linear Approximation Almost Ideal Demand System) model. The results this study showed that there were significant differences in the average consumption of rice, non-rice and animal protein consumption between BPNT and non-BPNT households. The highest of food expenditure in both households was processed food and beverages. The BPNT dummy variable did not sign for a share of food expenditure. The result of the estimate also showed that rice, animal protein, vegetables, food and beverages and cigarettes are inelastic at their prices elasticity. All types of food studied were normal goods. Non-rice, vegetables and processed food and beverages were substitutes for rice in BPNT recipient households while in non-BPNT only processed food and beverages was substitutes for rice. The interesting thing in this research was that cigarettes become a complimentary item to all foods.

Abstract

Digester biogas skala komunitas menjadi salah satu alternatif yang dapat dipakai untuk membantu menekan biaya pembangunan fasilitas biogas. Namun, penentuan lokasi digester menjadi penting untuk diidentifikasi agar distribusi bahan baku biogas ke fasilitas digester menjadi optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan letak optimal digester menggunakan analisis geospasial kernel density dengan penghitungan bahan baku biogas menggunakan massa total larutan padat yang diaplikasikan pada lokasi kandang sapi peternak Koperasi Susu Sumber Rejeki di Desa Pudak Wetan Ponorogo. Hasil dari analisis pada penelitian ini menemukan sembilan titik lokasi ideal yang dapat dibangun fasilitas digester biogas skala komunitas dengan mempertimbangkan kepadatan massa total larutan padat dan kedekatan jarak antar kandang pada lokasi penelitian.

Abstract

The gaining of society’s enthusiasm for coffee can be seen from the increased number of coffee consumption in Indonesia. This would be an opportunity for an entrepreneur to open a coffee shop. The number of coffee shops has always increased from year to year, especially in Bogor City as one of the tourism cities in Indonesia. In this situation, the level of competition will surely increase. Therefore, effective alternative strategies are needed to succeed in this competition. The purpose of this research is to identify the internal and external environmental factors of the company to formulate the priorities of the right marketing strategies. The methods used in this research are the IFE matrix, EFE matrix, IE matrix, SWOT matrix, and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix). The result of the analysis shows that Kopi Spectrum is in a position of growth and build. Five marketing strategies generated from SWOT Matrix Analysis, that can be implemented by Kopi Spectrum, maintain product quality with an appropriate price (SO1), improve promotional activities that are suitable for the targets (WO1), expand a network of suppliers (ST1), maintain the number of consumers they already have with services and facilities (ST2), and get the halal certificate (WT1). Based on QSPM calculations, the priority strategy from Kopi Spectrum is to maintain the number of consumers they already have with services and facilities.

Abstract

Many people like Kopyor coconut. Kopyor Coconut formed from an abnormal coconut fruit that is only be found in a rare number of the normal coconut tree. Unfortunately, the demand for kopyor coconut is not followed by the supply, in other words, the supply of Kopyor Coconut is still under the demand. Following this opportunity, Indonesian Biotechnology Plantation Research Center, PT Riset Perkebunan Nusantara invented a plant tissue isolation method that can produce 90 to 100 per cent of kopyor coconut fruit. Thus, it is necessary to study consumer preferences and marketing strategy to distribute Kopyor product in the right plan. This study uses a quantitative approach by capturing 50 respondents in incidental sampling. The data is then processed descriptively using Microsoft excel to see consumer preferences and its 4P (Product, Place, Promotion, Price). From the data analysis obtained as follows: 1. Consumer preferences of kopyor coconut (Kosudu) are quite well and acceptable by the costumers. 2. The product, place and promotion need to be regenerated, but for the price is quite stable. 3. Need marketing strategies to improve product quality, such as (brand, packaging, and quality control), place such as (online delivery system and retail approach, last but not least the promotions such as (discounts and advertising).

Abstract

UMKM Salak Cristal merupakan agroindustri yang bergerak pada pengolahan salak menjadi aneka produk olahan salak. UMKM Salak Cristal telah melakukan penjualan secara offline dan online, akan tetapi kurang memperhatikan konsumen serta strategi pemasaran. UMKM Salak Cristal bukanlah satu-satunya produsen pengolah salak di Sleman. Hal tersebut, membuat UMKM Salak Cristal membutuhkan informasi kepuasan konsumen untuk menyusun strategi pemasaran yang tepat agar mengetahui perubahan kebutuhan konsumen dan mencapai kepuasan konsumen. Oleh karena itu, peneliti perlu menganalisis kepuasan konsumen untuk membantu UMKM Salak Cristal dalam menyusun strategi pemasaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Menganalisis tingkat kepuasan terhadap produk keripik salak pada UMKM Salak Cristal Kecamatan Turi, Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta; 2) Menganalisis strategi pemasaran yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan konsumen terhadap produk keripik salak UMKM Salak Cristal Kecamatan Turi, Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei, dan metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode Non-probability sampling dengan teknik accidental sampling. Besarnya sampel sebanyak 100 responden dihitung menggunakan rumus linear time function. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) dan Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Nilai tingkat kepuasan konsumen terhadap atribut produk keripik salak UMKM Salak Cristal yaitu berada pada kriteria puas, 2) Strategi yang dapat diterapkan yaitu memperbaiki beberapa atribut yang harus ditingkatkan yaitu variasi rasa, penjualan online, promosi online, lokasi toko, seragam karyawan, kerapihan karyawan, proses pembayaran, display sesuai jumlah produk, dan label harga produk.

Abstract

Persediaan pasokan bahan baku tebu di pabrik gula harus dalam keadaan cukup, tidak boleh kekurangan ataupun kelebihan agar proses produksi berjalan dengan lancar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tingkat pemesanan, frekuensi pemesanan, jumlah persediaan pengaman (Safety Stock), titik pemesanan kembali (Re-Order Point) bahan baku tebu yang ekonomis dan mengetahui total biaya persediaan (Total Inventory Cost) bahan baku tebu yang ekonomis di PG X. Metode penentuan daerah penelitian ini dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive). Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Re-Order Point (ROP), Safety Stock (SS), dan Total Inventory Cost (TIC). Hasil perhitungan EOQ tahun 2018 dan 2019 menunjukkan belum ekonomis. Perhitungan EOQ tahun 2018 sebesar 1.688,79 ton lebih besar dari jumlah pemesanan yang dilakukan oleh PG X sebesar 1.483,9 ton dan perhitungan EOQ tahun 2019 sebesar 3.074 ton lebih besar dari jumlah pemesanan yang dilakukan oleh PG X sebesar 974,9 ton. Nilai stok pengaman (Safety Stock) sebesar tahun 2018 sebesar 1.483,9 ton dan tahun 2019 sebesar 976,6 ton. Nilai ROP dalam penyediaan bahan baku tebu tahun 2018 sebesar 2,967,8 ton dan tahun 2019 sebesar 1,953,2 ton. Nilai TIC tahun 2018 sebesar Rp. 139.031.870 lebih kecil dari biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan sebesar Rp. 158.302.102 dan nilai TIC tahun 2019 sebesar Rp. 208.014.632 lebih kecil dari biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan sebesar Rp. 654.250.185. Hasil perhitungan dua tahun terakhir ini menunjukkan adanya inefisiensi pemesanan yang dilakukan karena menyebabkan frekuensi pemesanan semakin besar dan biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan oleh PG X semakin tinggi. Sehingga dengan perhitungan ekonomis maka frekuensi pemesanan akan semakin sedikit dan biaya total persediaan akan semakin rendah.

Abstract

Crystal sugar has a high potency to develop because of the growing demand for crystal sugar on a local and international scale. CV Agroberdikari is a company that produces crystal sugar in Kebumen District. The company needs investment to develop a development that increases the production of crystal sugar. Feasibility analysis needs to be done to see whether or not the business is executed when the company is developing based on non-financial aspects and financial aspects. Aspects assessed on non-financial aspects are market aspects, technical aspects, management and legal aspects, social and economic aspects, and environmental aspects. Assessment on financial aspects based on investment criteria of NPV, Net B/C, IRR and Payback Period and sensitivity analysis. Analysis results of non-financial aspects that the business is declared worthy to run. Analysis of financial aspects under normal conditions resulted in NPV Rp 708.012.338, Net B/C 2,64, IRR 29 per cent and PP 5,7 years. In development, conditions produce NPV Rp 1.003.257.059, Net B/C 3,74, IRR 45 per cent, and PP 4,9 year. The results of financial analysis can be stated that business development is worthy to run. The results of sensitivity analytic showed that the price increase of raw materials was more sensitive than the decrease in sugar production. Companies need to increase the number of suppliers of raw materials and add investment goods to increase consumer demand can be fulfilled and anticipate the increase of raw material prices.
