Abstract

It was experiment research aimed at finding out the effectiveness of Arabic Language learning with Al Arabia Baina Yadaik book in increasing student Arabic speaking skills at the eighth grade of Islamic Junior High School of Darun Na’im Simpang Kubu, Kampar.  The formulation of the problem in this research was “was Arabic Language learning with Al Arabia Baina Yadaik book effective in increasing student Arabic speaking skills at the eighth grade of Islamic Junior High School of Darun Na’im Simpang Kubu, Kampar?”.  This research was started from planning the lesson plan, implementing, observing, and testing.  Arabic Language subject teachers and all the eighth-grade students at Islamic Junior High School of Darun Na’im Simpang Kubu, Kampar in the Academic Year of 2022/2023 were the population of this research, and the samples were the eighth-grade students of class 2 as the experiment group and the students of class 1 as the control group.  The subjects of this research were the eighth-grade students of classes 1 and 2 at Islamic Junior High School of Darun Na’im Simpang Kubu, Kampar.  The object was the effectiveness of Arabic Language learning with Al Arabia Baina Yadaik book in increasing student Arabic speaking skills at the eighth grade of Islamic Junior High School of Darun Na’im Simpang Kubu, Kampar.  Observation and test were the instruments of collecting data.  Based on data analysis, it could be concluded that Arabic Language learning with Al Arabia Baina Yadaik book was effective in increasing student Arabic speaking skills at the eighth grade of Islamic Junior High School of Darun Na’im Simpang Kubu, Kampar because the score of to 3.71 was higher than tt 2.563 at 1% significant level and 2.074 at 5% significant level.  It meant that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.  Based on the result of observation, the result was 95%, and it was very good because it was on the percentage 81%-100%.  In other words, the use of Al Arabia Baina Yadaik book was effective in increasing student Arabic speaking skills at the eighth grade of Islamic Junior High School of Darun Na’im Simpang Kubu, Kampar.

Abstract

This study is experimental research which aims to find out whether there is a significant influence on the use of drill method on Tashrif Istilahy mastery at the eighth grade junior high school students Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The problem formulation in this research is “Is there any significant influence on the use of drill method on Tashrif Istilahy mastery at the eighth grade junior high school students Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru?”The population of this study is all students of class VIII junior high school Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru, with a sample of class VIII.H female students as experimental class and class VIII.F students as the control class. Subject of this research is all VIII students of junior high school Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The object of this research is the influence on the use of drill method on Tashrif Istilahy mastery at the eighth grade junior high school students Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The instruments use the collecting data which consists of observations and tests. The result of analysis data can be concluded that there is no significant influence with the use of the drill method on Tashrif Istilahy mastery at the eighth grade junior high school students Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. This is proven by the value to= 0.66 which is smaller than tt at 1% significance level = 2.72 and 5% significance level = 2.02 so Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, which means the drill method has no effect on Tashrif Istilahy mastery at the eighth grade junior high school students students Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru.Keywords: Influence, Drill Method, Tashrif Istilahy

Abstract

The novel "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a French writer, published in 1943, is considered one of the works of French children's literature, which has been translated into 300 languages other than French and has been distributed in 140 million copies. to date. Some people consider the novel "The Little Prince" to be one of the unforgettable masterpieces of world literature. In contrast to children's literature in general, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's work in "The Little Prince" is not only aimed specifically at children, but also at adults who have forgotten their childhood experiences, making it difficult for them to understand the world of children's thoughts and feelings. Based on the reasons above, researchers are interested in studying children's literature The Little Prince in terms of directive illocutionary speech acts and their functions. Therefore, the aims of this research are 1) to find out what types of directive speech acts are in the children's novel The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in Searle's Pragmatic Theory and 2) to find out the function of directive speech acts in the children's novel The Little Prince Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's work in Searle's Theory of Pragmatics. The results of this research, the researcher found 1) 2 forms of directive illocutionary speech acts found in the novel The Little Prince, namely direct speech acts and indirect speech acts, with details of 37 direct directive speech acts and 5 indirect directive speech acts; and 2) 5 functions of directive illocutionary speech acts contained in the novel The Little Prince, namely the functions of requesting, ordering, suggesting, prohibiting, and advising with details: function of requesting 14 utterances, function of commanding 15 utterances, function of suggesting 4 utterances, function of prohibiting 8 utterances , and the function of advising 11 utterances. Keywords: speech act, directive, searle, the little prince

Abstract

Advances in science and technology have experienced significant acceleration in various fields, including education. With technological advancements, dictionaries are no longer in the form of physical printouts, but have turned into digital formats that can be accessed through various media. However, a serious challenge in learning and communication in today's digital age is the lack of Arabic dictionaries that cover technological vocabulary. Although technology has brought about major changes in information access, accurate translations of Arabic texts in technological contexts are still difficult to find due to the limitations of electronic dictionaries in capturing grammatical nuances and specialized terminology often used in the field of technology. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the forms of technology vocabulary in the Mujam Al Arabi Al Asasi dictionary. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. The data used comes from sources such as dictionaries, books, journals, or articles relevant to the research context. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that the Mujam Al Arabi Al Asasi dictionary has suitability with the research material, namely technological vocabulary, which is divided into technological, economic, and social aspects.Keywords: vocabulary; technology; arabic dictionary
