Sosial Budaya (Online ISSN 2407-1684 | Print ISSN 1979-2603), merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau sejak tahun 2007. Jurnal Sosial Budaya ini merupakan media yang memuat kajian-kajian ilmiah dalam bentuk hasil riset dalam bidang ilmu sosial/humaniora, seperti pernaskahan, pranata-sosial dan sejarah untuk membangun dan membangkitkan kembali kejayaan Tamaddun Melayu dalam kawasan regional Asia Tenggara. Jurnal Sosial Budaya diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun pada bulan Juli dan Desember yang berusaha menempatkan hasil penelitian para peneliti, akademisi, pemerhati dalam keilmuan terkait. Jurnal Sosial Budaya juga memberi perhatian bagi publikasi hasil penelitian interdisipliner berbagai pihak yang memiliki perhatian serius untuk merancang, dan merajut tatanan dunia baru Tamadun Melayu.

<![CDATA[This research backgrounded by its reducing gives a damn and its low majors college student ability PBA in gets communication with arabic, eventually Faculty and also Majors party have done various trick to increase it. Problem that is analyzed is: what and how motivates and arabic studying yen college student and what there is relationship which signifikan among motivates studying by give a damn to get communication in arabic?. To answer about problem this was gathered data via questionnaire to 80 respondents, then dianalisis with diskriptif, kualitatif with kontingensi's percentage and correlation. Its result points out that arabic learned motivation college student comes under tall with percentage 84,40 % meanwhile yen get rank communication high enough with percentage 78,80 %. But presentase both is not a far cry. analisis's result kontingensi's correlation points out no correlation which signifikan among motivate]]>

<![CDATA[Sekolah-Pesantren is an ideal educational institution for Indonesia that was carried into the new maintream Indonesian national education system. Integrating and choices of both institutions is done because it has a fundamental difference conflicting; sekolah has an advantage in the development of science and technology but failed in the moral and character development, while pesantren, on the contrary, is known to have experience and success in coaching morale and akhlak of the it’s student but not capable in developing science and technology. Praxis sekolahpesantren rests on the basic concept of human. The formulation of the vision, mission, and goals sekolah-pesantren is so likewise with the technique and metode used in the learning process, all remain within the framework of development and empowerment of students' potentials as human beings. Enjoyable or not the process of teaching and learning Arabic would determine the result expected of the teaching itself. If the beginning of the process of teaching and learning has already implemented active and joyful strategy, the students will be interested in the process of learning Arabic. Arabic active learning is focusing on creating various conditions in which it enables the students to utilize their time to study. The teacher in the concept of active learning will no longer as the main source who transfers knowledge to the students. Active learners place the teacher as a facilitator who creates conducive class to make the process of teaching and learning be better.
