            Jurnal Arabiyat terbit 2 kali dalam satu tahun (Juni dan Desember) sebagai salah satu wadah pengembangan ilmu pendidikan bahasa Arab yang dinamis dan aktual. Jurnal ini menyajikan artikel berbahasa Arab, Indonesia, dan Inggris fokus pada perkembangan bahasa Arab di dunia pendidikan yang merupakan hasil penelitian atau kajian teoritis yang berkaitan dengan literatur kebahasaaraban, peradaban bahasa Arab, lembaga pendidikan bahasa Arab, kurikulum, dan metode pembelajaran dan lainnya merupakan tema-tema yang tersaji di jurnal ini. This study aims to clarify the role of the Arabic language in advancing science and Islamic civilization through a library study of the history of the Arab ic language a long the ages. The approach used to analyze the data of Arabic language development is hist orical approach combined with content analysis approach. The study has come to the conclusion that there are βive important roles of Arabic language. Firstly, it served as the language of the union among the people and the Arab tribes. Secondly, Arabic preserved the richness of local Arabic cultures through all times. Thirdly, Arabic used as a media for educational and scientiβic study, possitioning it as the language of science and technology. Fourthly, Arabic is as a tool of communication among the people and tribes and generations. The process of translation in fact gave birth to a sociolinguistic phenomenon like bilingualism when the structure of a language that translated influence on the translation. This paper examines the translation of the Koran, which follows the pattern of the structure of the Arabic language in terms of word order (sequence pattern) element of Arabic and Indonesian. Based on the analysis of the function, the result of translation is not necessarily a literal translation has the same syntactic pattern with the source text. Indonesian function often different in sentence patterns with sentence patterns of Arabic, although it is the literal translation of the Arabic sentence. The communicative approach in language learning emphasizes on the mastery of language proficiency. Communicative approach is based on some psychological theories of language and learning. The purpose of language learning, according to this approach, is factual communication, where students can use foreign language as a communication tool. In other words, the purpose of this approach is that students have the competence to communicate in a language they have learned in a variety of social situations. Communicative approach is also called the functional approach, in which the language is used as its functions. Professional Arabic teacher preparation program in Indonesia still faces various problems in its regulation and implementation, such as absence of the institution concerned and unavailability of qualified teachers applicant. This article explains how to prepare and develop professional Arabic teachers with integrated programs that will improve the quality of Arabic instruction in Indonesia. In the field of education, teaching management is one of the most important parts to ensure the success and the effectiveness of teaching. This article aims to describe the application of teaching management in the field of Arabic language teaching. The aim of this research is to design a Arabic theaching syllabus for students at PMIAI ICASParamadina Jakarta that focused on Islamic philosophy and mysticism. The syllabus is an integrated syllabus which combines topics and academic reading skill based on Arabic for Academic Purposes. The process of syllabus design began with need analysis both internally and externally under the qualitative and quantitativ method. The Holy Quran contains the faith, worship, Islamic morals, history, promises and threats, and information about Hereafter (eschatology). The narrative style of the Quran is less systematic and intact except the narration of the Prophet Yusuf (Surah Yusuf [12]: 1-111). This paper narrates the verses of the Quran about Prophet Isa's life since his birth, prophetness, until death. The aim is to reconstruct narrative discourse of Prophet Isa's life as a systematical text. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan stilistika ayat shalat di dalam al-Qurʼan ditinjau dari bentuk kata dan fungsinya dalam kalimat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis pada konstruksi kata dan susunan kalimatnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kata “shalatˮ di dalam al-Qurʼan diungkapkan dalam beragam kata dan kalimat yang berbeda fungsi dan maknanya. Mayoritas kedudukan iʻrâb-nya adalah mafʻûl bih (objek), sedangkan gaya bahasanya meggunakan uslub amr (20 ayat), syarat (6 ayat), nida (2 ayat), mutsbat (29 ayat), manfi (4 ayat), istitsna, taukid, dan nahi. Penelitian ini berusaha mengidentifikasi beberapa tingkatan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar bahasa Arab menurut Rusydi Ahmad Thu‘aimah. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan menggunakan pendekatan analisis teks sehingga tidak perlu memapaparkan data angka dalam interpretasi hasilnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Rusydi Ahmad Thu‘aimah dalam karyanya, Ta‘lîm al-‘Arabiyyah li ghair al-Nâthiqîn bihâ, menjelaskan berbagai tingkatan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar bahasa Arab baik dari segi unsur kebahasaan maupun keterampilan berbahasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswa PBA UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta tentang kaidah qashr dan penerapannya pada ayat-ayat pendidikan serta mengetahui materi qashr yang perlu dikuatkan. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa jurusan PBA UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta semester 5 tahun ajaran 2013-2014. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara: wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh hasil penelitian berikut. Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memahami kaidah qashr dinyatakan baik dengan rata-rata nilai tes 70,69. Kemampuan mahasiswa menerapkan kaidah qashr dalam ayat al-Qurʼan juga dinyatakan baik dengan rata-rata nilai tes 70,44. Mean rata-rata nilai tes adalah 70,56. Berdasarkan hasil tes, materi “qashr al-shifah ‘alâ al-maushûf dan qahsr al-maushûf ‘alâ al-shifah” perlu dikuatkan lagi dalam pembelajaran. DOI: 10.15408/a.v1i1.11236
