Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: mendeskripsikan keefektifan pendekatan CTL setting NHT dan TGT; membandingkan keefektifan pendekatan CTL setting NHT dan pendekatan CTL setting TGT ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, dan sikap matematika siswa SMP kelas VII dalam belajar bangun datar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest non-equivalent comparison-group design. Untuk mengetahui keefektifan pendekatan CTL setting NHT dan TGT pada masing-masing variabel, digunakan uji one sample t-test. Selanjutnya, untuk membandingkan keefektifan pendekatan CTL setting NHT dan TGT, data dianalisis menggunakan uji T2 Hotteling’s. Jika terdapat perbedaan keefektifan, maka dilakukan uji lanjut t-univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan CTL setting NHT dan TGT efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan sikap matematika siswa, namun tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis; tidak terdapat perbedaan keefektifan antara pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan CTL setting NHT dan pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan CTL setting TGT ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, dan sikap matematika siswa.  Kata Kunci: pendekatan CTL setting NHT, pendekatan CTL setting TGT, prestasi belajar, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, sikap matematika siswa The Comparison of the Effectiveness of CTL Approach of NHT Type and CTL Approach of TGT Type in Learning Planes AbstractThis research aims to: describe the effectiveness of teaching mathematics by using the CTL approach of NHT type and the CTL approach of TGT type; compare the effectiveness of the CTL approach of NHT type and CTL approach of TGT type in terms of mathematics learning achievement, mathematical communication ability, and mathematics attitude of 7th grade junior high school students in learning planes. This research is a quasi-experimental research with the pretest-posttest non-equivalent comparison-group design. To determine the effectiveness of the CTL approach of NHT type and CTL approach of TGT type on each variable, one sample t-test was used. Furthermore, to compare the effectiveness of the CTL approach of NHT type and CTL approach of TGT type, the data were analyzed using a multivariate test of T2 Hotteling’s. If there were differences in effectiveness, then further study of t-univariate was done to determine certain variables that contributed to the overall difference. The results showed that: the teaching of mathematics using the CTL approach of NHT type and using the CTL approach of TGT type are effective in terms of mathematics learning achievement and mathematics attitude, but is not effective in terms of mathematical communication ability; there is no difference between the effectiveness of teaching using the CTL approach of NHT type and teaching using the CTL approach of TGT type in terms of mathematics learning achievement, mathematical communication ability, and mathematics attitude. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, self-efficacy siswa dan hubungan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan self-efficacy siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Ciamis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 389 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Ciamis yang berasal dari 13 sekolah dengan kategori strata tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Sampel dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan stratified proporsional random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 389 siswa yang dijadikan subjek penelitian memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam kriteria rendah. Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan keadaan tersebut diantaranya adalah siswa kurang memahami informasi pada soal, siswa kurang mampu membuat model matematis, dan siswa kurang teliti dalam menyelesiakan soal. Rata-rata self-efficacy siswa berada pada kriteria sedang, yaitu 91,17. Hubungan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan self-efficacy siswa termasuk kategori sangat rendah karena nilai r sebesar 0,104. An Analysis of Mathematics Problem Solving Ability and Self-Efficacy Students of Junior High School in Ciamis Regency AbstractThis study aims to describe the mathematics problem-solving ability, self-efficacy of students and the relationship between the problem solving and self-efficacy of the grade VIII students of the junior high school in Ciamis Regency. This study was categorized as survey research. The research subjects were 389 junior high school grade VIII in Ciamis Regency from 13 schools which were categorized as high, moderate and low schools. The research sample was selected by means of the stratified proportional random sampling technique. The results of the study are as follows, 389 students as the research subject have low criteria in problem-solving ability. Factors that cause this situation, such as students are less understanding of existing information on the problem, students are less able to make mathematical models, and students are less thorough in problem-solving. The average of students’ self-efficacy was at moderate criteria, 91.17. The relationship between problem-solving ability and self-efficacy of students was at very low criteria because of the r-value of 0.104.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas problem-based learning ditinjau dari keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian belajar matematis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Experimental dengan populasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngadirejo Temanggung tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak dengan mengambil 3 kelas dari 7 kelas yang ada, dan terpilih kelas VIII A sebagai kelas ujicoba, kelas VIIIB sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan kelas VIIIC sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah matematis dan skala kemandirian belajar matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa problem-based learning efektif ditinjau dari keterampilan pemecahan dan kemandirian belajar matematis. Terdapat perbedaan efektivitas antara problem-based learning dan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian belajar matematis. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian belajar matematis.The effectiveness of problem-based learning in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulatedAbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of problem-based learning in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated. This study is quasi-experimental with a population of students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngadirejo Temanggung academic year 2017/2018. The sampling was done randomly by taking 3 of 7 classes, and the elected class was VIII A, VIIIB, and VIIIC. Then, the three classes were randomized to determine the tryout class, control, and experimental class. Class VIIIB was selected as an experimental class, VIIIC as a control class and VIIIA as a tryout class. The instrument used was the test of mathematical problem-solving skills, the scale of self-regulated learning and observation sheet of learning implementation. The results of this study showed that problem-based learning is effective in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated learning. There is a difference in effectiveness between problem-based learning and conventional learning in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated learning. There is a significant relationship between mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran vektor dengan pendekatan Creative Problem Solving untuk kelas XI SMK Teknokestan, meliputi rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) dan lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif, serta tes prestasi belajar siswa (TPB) yang valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (research development). Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri atas empat tahap pengembangan yaitu define, design, development, dan disseminate. Aspek kevalidan produk -dilihat dari hasil validasi ahli yang mencapai kriteria sangat valid. Aspek kepraktisan produk -dilihat dari hasil pengisian lembar kepraktisan oleh guru yang mencapai kriteria sangat praktis, hasil pengisian lembar kepraktisan oleh siswa yang mencapai kriteria baik, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa persentase minimal keterlaksanaan pembelajaran adalah 83,3% dan maksimal adalah 86,1%. Aspek keefektifan dilihat dari hasil tes prestasi belajar siswa mencapai nilai KKM setiap kelas lebih dari 70%.Kata kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, Creative Problem Solving Developing Learning Kit on Material Vector with Creative Problem Solving Approach Grade XI SMK Teknokestan AbstractThis reseach was aimed to develop learning kit of vector with Creative Problem Solving approach in grade XI -SMK Teknokestan, covering lesson plan and worksheet which is valid, practical, and effective, –and learning achievement test which is valid and practical. The research is research development, which was carried out by the implementation of 4D development model, which consist of four stages: define, design, development, and dissemination. The product validity can be seen from the result of expert validation who claimed that the criteria of product was very valid. The product practicality can be seen from the result of the teacher practicality sheets which show that the product criteria was very good; the result of the student practicality sheets show that the product criteria was good; the learning implementation observation sheets show that the minimum implementation percentage was 83.3% and maximum was 86.1%. The effective product can be seen from the result of learning achievement test reach KKM more than 70%.Keywords: development, learning kit, creative problem solving

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of CBT and PBT national examination in terms of students’ cognitive readiness and anxiety facing mathematics national examination in DIY province, the influence of major in terms of students’ cognitive readiness and anxiety facing mathematics national examination in DIY Province, and the interaction between national examination and major. This research was descriptive explorative and the method was ex-post facto. The population was all of natural and social science high school students in grade XII in DIY province. The number of sample used was 654 students The results showed that there was influence of national examination in terms of students’ cognitive readiness and anxiety facing national examination. CBT and PBT national examination did not influence the cognitive readiness facing national examination, CBT and PBT national examination influence in national examinations in terms of students’ anxiety facing national examination. The average score of the students’ anxiety facing CBT national exam was greater than that of the students’ anxiety facing PBT national examination. There was no effect caused by differences in majoring in terms of cognitive readiness and national examination math anxiety; and there was no interaction between the different types of national examinations and majors.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan efektivitas strategi pembelajaran worked example dan problem solving dengan strategi pengelompokan siswa (kolaboratif dan individual) ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan cognitive load. Penelitian ini melibatkan 64 siswa kelas 8 sebagai partisipan penelitian yang dibagi menjadi empat kelompok secara acak dengan menggunakan desain eksperimen 2 × 2 (worked example vs. problem solving) × kolaboratif vs. individual). Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan penerapan strategi worked example dengan pengelompokan kolaboratif dan individual ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Ditinjau dari cognitive load, strategi worked example efektif ketika siswa belajar individual, namun tidak efektif ketika siswa belajar secara kolaboratif. Ketika siswa belajar secara individual, strategi worked example dapat mengaktifkan cognitive load lebih rendah daripada strategi problem solving, sedangkan ketika siswa belajar secara kolaboratif, strategi worked example dan problem solving tidak berbeda dalam mereduksi cognitive load. The effectiveness of worked example with students’ grouping strategy viewed from problem-solving abilities and cognitive load AbstractThe study aimed to describe and compare the effectiveness of learning strategies (worked example and problem-solving) with the strategy of grouping students (collaborative and individual) viewed from problem-solving abilities and cognitive load. There were 64 of 8th-grade students as study participants divided into four groups randomly using experimental design 2 × 2 (worked example vs. problem-solving × collaborative vs. individual). The results of the study indicate that there is no significant difference implementation of worked example strategy between the collaborative strategies and individuals viewed from problem-solving abilities. Viewed from the cognitive load, the worked example strategy was effective when students learn individually, but it was not effective when students learn collaboratively. When students learn individually, worked example strategies could activate cognitive load lower than problem-solving strategies, whereas when students learn collaboratively, worked example strategies and problem-solving were no different in reducing cognitive load.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui apakah penampilan guru dalam mengajar berada pada klasifikasi baik untuk mendukung peningkatan keterampilan hitung dan motivasi belajar, (2) meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, dan (3) meningkatkan keterampilan hitung pecahan desimal siswa kelas 4 SDN 15 Ulu Gadut (Padang) melalui media manipulatif pada pembelajaran tematik integratif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan: observasi, tes tskala motivasi, catatan lapangan, dan tes kemampuan hitung. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: (1) penampilan guru dalam mengajar memperoleh skor 160,5; 174; dan 179,17 dengan klasifikasi baik pada siklus 1, 2, dan 3. 2) motivasi peserta didik meningkat dari siklus 1, 2, dan 3 berturut-turut senilai 62,04, 65,56, dan 68,16 sedangkan hasil tes skala motivasi meningkat dengan skor pada siklus 1, 2, dan 3 senilai 79,41, 85,05, dan 87,05. (3) Hasil tes keterampilan hitung siklus 3 memperoleh skor 90,81 pada level I, 93,51 pada level II, 75,14 pada level III, 75,68 pada level IV, dan 76,76 pada level V.Kata Kunci: keterampilan hitung pecahan desimal, motivasi belajar, media manipulatif, tematik-integratif. Improving Motivation and the Decimal Computation Skill by Using Manipulatives in Thematic-Integrated Learning in Elementary School AbstractThis study aims to: (1) determine whether teacher’s performance in teaching using manipulatives media are in good classification to support arithmetic skills and students’ learning motivation (2) increase the learning motivation,  and (3) increase the decimal computation skill of class IV B students of SDN 15 Ulu Gadut, Padang by using manipulatives. The results are as follows: (1) the teacher’s teaching performance is in a good category with a total score of cycles I, II, and III, 160.5, 174, and 179.17 respectively. (2) the students’ learning motivation has increased by 62.04 in cycle I, 65.56 in cycle II, and 68.16 in cycle III and then, the result of students’ motivation scale test is in a very high category, with an average increase of 79.41, 85.05, and 87.05 in cycles I, II, III. (3) the results of arithmetic skill test at the end of the third cycle are at an average score of 90.81 at level I, 93.51 at level II, 75.14 at level III, 75.68 at level IV, and 76.76 at level V.Keywords: decimal computation skill, learning motivation, manipulatives, thematic-integrated.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pendekatan problem posing dan problem solving serta membandingkan keefektifan pendekatan problem posing dengan problem solving ditinjau dari sikap mahasiswa terhadap Kalkulus dan prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest non equivalent comparison group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas Musamus Merauke. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika semester II yang dibagi dalam dua kelompok. Pengujian keefektifan pendekatan problem posing dan problem solving menggunakan uji one sample t-test dan untuk mengetahui pendekatan mana yang lebih efektif menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pendekatan problem posing efektif ditinjau dari sikap terhadap Kalkulus dan prestasi belajar; (2) pendekatan problem solving efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar; dan (3) pendekatan problem posing lebih efektif dari pada pendekatan problem solving ditinjau dari sikap mahasiswa terhadap Kalkulus.Kata Kunci: pendekatan problem posing, pendekatan problem solving, sikap terhadap kalkulus, prestasi belajar The effectiveness of problem posing and problem solving approach in calculus II learning AbstractThis study aimed to describe the effectiveness of problem posing and problem solving approach, and to compare the effectiveness between problem posing and problem solving approach in terms of attitude toward Calculus and learning achievement. This study was a quasi-experimental study using the pretest-posttest non-equivalent comparison group design. The population of this study were student of Musamus University. The sample in this study were 2nd semester students of mathematics educations departement who were divided into two groups. To assess the effectiveness of the problem posing and problem solving approach, the one sample t-test was carried out and to determine the more effective approach, independent sample t-test was used. The results of this study show that (1) the problem posing approach was effective in terms of attitude towards Calculus and learning achievement; (2) problem solving approach was effective in terms of learning achievement; and (3) problem posing approach was more effective than problem solving approach in terms of students attitude toward calculus.Keywords: problem posing approach, problem solving approach, attitude toward Calculus, leraning achievement

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran statistika melalui pendekatan CTL dan pendekatan problem posing ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan minat belajar matematika, dan menyelidiki manakah yang lebih efektif antara pembelajaran statistika melalui pendekatan CTL dan pendekatan problem posing ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan minat belajar matematika siswa SMK. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu, dengan rancangan pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta. Dari populasi yang ada diambil secara acak dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian. Untuk menguji keefektifan pendekatan CTL dan problem posing digunakan analisis one sample t-test pada aspek prestasi dan uji proporsi pada aspek minat. Selanjutnya untuk membandingkan keefektifan pembelajaran matematika melalui pendekatan CTL dan problem posing, data dianalisis secara multivariat menggunakan uji T2 Hotelling. Jika terdapat perbedaan keefektifan, maka dilakukan uji lanjut t-univariat untuk menentukan variabel tertentu yang berkontribusi terhadap perbedaan secara keseluruhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pembelajaran statistika melalui pendekatan CTL efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar matematika; (2) pembelajaran statistika melalui pendekatan problem posing efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan minat belajar matematika siswa SMK; (3) tidak terdapat perbedaan keefektifan antara pembelajaran statistika melalui pendekatan CTL dan pendekatan problem posing ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan minat belajar matematika siswa SMK.Kata Kunci: pendekatan CTL, pendekatan problem posing, prestasi belajar, minat belajar matematika A Comparison of Statistics Learning Through CTL and Problem-Posing Approach in Terms of Learning Achievement and Interest in Learning Mathematics AbstractThis research aims to describe the effectiveness of statistics learning through the CTL approach and problem posing approach in terms of learning achievement and interest in learning mathematics and to investigate which approach is more effective in learning mathematics for Vocational School students. To test the effectiveness of statistics learning through the CTL and problem-posing approach, one sample t-test was used in the aspect of learning achievement and a proportion test on the aspect of interest in learning. The data were analyzed using the T2Hotelling’s test to compare the effectiveness of the CTL approach and problem-posing approach. If differences in effectiveness were found, then further study of t-univariate was done to determine certain variables that contributed to the overall difference. The results show that: (1) statistics learning through the CTL approach is effective in terms of learning achievement; (2) statistics learning through the problem-posing approach is effective in terms of learning achievement and interest in learning mathematics; (3) there is no difference between the effectiveness of teaching using the CTL approach and teaching using the problem-posing approach in terms of learning achievement and interest in learning mathematics among Vocational School students.Keywords: CTL approach, problem-posing approach, learning achievement, interest in learning mathematics
