Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Petunjuk Kegiatan Siswa (PKS), dan Tes Ketercapaian Kompetensi (TKK) berbasis open-ended approach yang layak dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada siswa SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang terdiri atas 3 tahap utama, yaitu pendahuluan, desain produk, dan pengembangan dan evaluasi. Subjek uji coba penelitian yaitu 105 siswa, seorang guru SMAN 1 Barabai, seorang guru SMAN 2 Barabai, dan seorang guru SMAN 8 Barabai. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, lembar penilaian guru, lembar penilaian siswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran, dan TKK. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berupa RPP dan PKS dengan kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada siswa, serta TKK yang telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan reliabel.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi Math learning software development based open-ended approach to develop HOTS in high school students AbstractThis study aimed to produce a mathematics kitwhich were lesson plan, student activities manual (SAM), and the competency achievement tests (CAT) that was able to develop students higher order thinking skills in senior high school. This research was a development research which consists of 3 main stages, namely preliminary, product desain, development and evaluation. The tryout subjects of research were 105 students, one teacher of SMAN 1 Barabai, one teacher of SMAN 2 Barabai, and one teacher of SMAN 8 Barabai. The research instrument used was a validation sheet, teacher assessment sheet, student assessment sheets, feasibility observation sheets of learning activities, and CAT. This study resulted the mathematics learning kit in the form lesson plan and SAM meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness which were able to develop higher order thinking skills, and CAT meets the criteria of validity, practically, and reliable.Keywords: development, learning kit, higher order thinking skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dan keefektifan pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran langsung pada pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi datar ditinjau dari ketercapaian standar kompetensi, motivasi, dan minat belajar di SMP.Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 4 Kertosono, kabupaten Nganjuk dan diambil secara acak dua kelas sebagai sampel yaitu kelas VIII-E dan VIII-H. Untuk menguji keefektifan pembelajaran, dianalisis menggunakan uji one sample t-test. Untuk menguji bahwa pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah lebih efektif dari pada pembelajaran langsung, dianalisis menggunakan MANOVA yang dilanjutkan dengan uji t-Benferroni dan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan dianalisis menggunakan uji score gain ternormalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah efektif dan pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah lebih efektif daripada pembelajaran langsung, serta rata-rata skor gain ternormalisasi pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran langsung ditinjau dari penguasaan standar kompetensi, motivasi, dan minat belajar siswa SMP.Kata Kunci: keefektifan, pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah, ketercapaian standar kompetensi, motivasi belajar, minat belajar, bangun ruang sisi datarThe Effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning on Plane Solid Figure in Terms of Mastery of Competency Standard, Learning Motivation and Learning Interest of Junior High School Students AbstractThis study aims to describe the effectiveness of the problem-based learning approach and problem-based learning approach compared with direct instruction approach in a plane solid figure in terms of achievement of competency standard, learning motivation and learning interest of junior high school students. This study was a quasi-experimental study employing the pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The research population comprised years VIII students in SMP Negeri 4 Kertosono, Nganjuk Regency and two classes, class VIII-E and VIII-H were randomly selected as the research sample. To test the effectiveness of the problem-based learning approach, the one sample t-test were used. Then, to test the more effectiveness of the problem-based learning approach than the direct instruction approach, the MANOVA was carried out and then continued by the t-Bonferroni test, and to describe increase the data were analyzed using the normalized gain score. The result of the study show that the problem-based learning approach effective and the problem-based learning approach is more effective than the direct instruction approach, and the means normalized score gain the problem-based learning approach is more than direct instruction approach in term of achievement of competency standard, learning motivation, and learning interest of elementary Scholl students. Abstract

Pemahaman Konseptual Matematis (PKM)  memiliki peran penting karena dengan kemampuan ini siswa mudah dalam membangun hubungan untuk memahamai ide dan konsep baru. Kemampuan PKM ini dapat ditumbuh-kembangkan melalui pembelajaran di kelas. Untuk mencapai kecakapan tersebut, pembelajaran perlu memperhatikan keberagaman siswa karena pembelajaran yang mengakomodasi keberagaman menjadi lebih efektif, efesien, dan menarik. Keberagam tersebut dapat berupa Gender (G), Kemampuan Awal Matematika (KAM) dan Gaya Belajar Matematis (GBM) siswa. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengakomodir keberagaman ialah pembelajaran pendekatan Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT). Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kemampuan PKM siswa SMP yang memperoleh pembelajaran pendekatan RMT ditinjau dari : a). Gender, b). KAM siswa, dan c). GBM siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen pada siswa SMP di salah satu sekolah di Bandung. Salah satu hasil yang penting adalah dengan pembelajaran ini menjadikan siswa dengan KAM sedang dan rendah dapat mencapai kemampuan yang baik. The Effect of Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT) Learning Approach On Students’ Understanding of Mathematical Concepts AbstractAn understanding of mathematical concepts (PKM) has an important role because with this ability students are easy in building relationships to understand new ideas and concepts. The ability of PKM can be grown-developed through learning in the classroom. To achieve these skills, learning needs to pay attention to the diversity of students because learning that accommodates diversity becomes more effective, efficient, and engaging. Such diversity can be Gender (G), An initial mathematical ability (KAM) and students’ mathematics learning styles (GBM). One approach to learning that accommodates diversity is the Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT) learning approach. This article aims to examine the ability of junior high school students who have learned RMT approach in terms of: a). Gender, b). students’ KAM, and c). students’ GBM. This research is an experimental research on junior high school students in one school in Bandung. One important result is that this learning engages students with medium and low of KAM able to achieve good abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia pembelajaran trigonometri menggunakan ADOBE FLASH CS3 untuk pembelajaran matematika siswa SMA kelas X semester II dan mengetahui kelayakan produk multimedia dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan untuk pembelajaran matematika di SMA Kelas X Semester II. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu: pertama, pendahuluan yaitu studi pustaka dan studi lapangan; kedua, pengembangan yaitu perencanaan dan pengembangan produk awal; dan ketiga, uji lapangan yaitu uji pengembangan terbatas, uji coba kelompok kecil, dan uji coba lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia yang dihasilkan dalam pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran matematika trigonometri adalah baik dilihat dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan suatu multimedia pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran matematika, adobe flas CS3, trigonometri Developing an Trigonometry Multimedia Instruction Using Adobe Flash CS3 for SMA Student AbstractThis research aims to develop trigonometry multimedia intruction using ADOBE FLASH CS3 for the teaching of mathematics on the semester II class X of SMA and reveal the feasibility of the product in the aspects of validity, practicality and effectiveness aspec. This research is development research use Borg and Gall development models, conducted through three phases: first, introduction that included the study of literature and field studies; second, development that included the planning and development of the initial product; trird, field testing which included a limited development testing, a small group testing, and field trials. The result of research indicating that resulted in the development of multimedia learning multimedia math Trigonometry is good seen from the aspect of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of a multimedia learning.Keywords: development mathematics multimedia instruction, adobe flash CS3, trigonometry

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran konteks gelas dalam mendukung pembelajaran konsep keliling lingkaran dan mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Surya Bangsa, Tangerang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII.A Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016 semester II dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 13 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas Lembar Aktivitas Peserta Didik (LAPD), Soal Evaluasi, Lembar Observasi Guru, Panduan Wawancara dan Angket Respon Peserta Didik. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini meliputi rekaman video, pengisian dokumen penelitian, observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model Miles Huberman (1994) yang terdiri atas reduksi data, penyajian data, penyimpulan dan verifikasi. Pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini menggunakan konteks gelas berdasarkan karakteristik pendekatan RME. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konteks gelas berperan penting dalam mendukung pembelajaran konsep keliling lingkaran. Selain itu, peserta didik memiliki respon yang positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika yang diberikan menggunakan pendekatan RME. Learning Circumference using the Context of Glass AbstractThis research aims to find out the role of glass as a context in supporting the concepts of the circumference of the circle and to know the response of learners in learning mathematics using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. This research conducted at Surya Bangsa Junior High School, Tangerang. The subjects of this study are students of class VIII.A in the academic year 2015/2016 semester II with the number of learners as many as 13 people. The research instruments used in this study consist of Student Activity Sheet (SAS), Evaluation Test, Observation Sheet, Interview Guide, and Questionnaire. Data collection techniques in this study include video recording, completion of research documents, observation, and interviews. Data analysis technique using Miles Huberman (1994) model consisting of reduction data, presenting data, conclusion and verification. The learning in this study uses the context of glass based on the characteristics of the RME approach. The results of this study indicate that the context of glass plays a significant role in supporting learning the concept of the circumference of the circle. Also, learners have a positive response in learning mathematics provided using the RME approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh keterlibatan orang tua, perilaku guru, dan motivasi belajar baik terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran matematika siswa kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian expost facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta, Indonesia, tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Sampel penelitian sejumlah 121 siswa ditentukan menggunakan simple random sampling technique. Pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumen hasil belajar matematika siswa dan angket yang telah dibuktikan validitas serta diestimasi reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan masing-masing variabel yaitu keterlibatan orang tua, perilaku guru, motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta; dan (2) secara bersamaan (simultan) variabel keterlibatan orang tua, perilaku guru, dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta.The effect of parental involvement, teacher behavior and learning motivation on students’ mathematics achievementAbstractThis research aimed to describe the effect of parental involvement, teacher behavior, learning motivation on students’ mathematics achievement in grade X of Junior High School. This research was ex post facto research. The population was grade X students of SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta, Indonesia in the 2016/2017 academic year. The sample of 121 students was established using the simple random sampling technique. The data were collected through documents study of students’ mathematics achievement results and using a questionnaire that had been proven its validity and estimated its reliability. The data analysis technique used is linear and multiple regression. The research finding shows that (1) there is a positive and significant effect of each variable namely parental involvement, teacher behavior, learning motivation on mathematics achievement of grade X students of SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta; and (2) parental involvement, teacher behavior, and learning motivation simultaneously provide a positive and significant effect on mathematics achievement of grade X students of SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) yang valid, praktis dan efektif. RPP yang dikembangkan memuat sintaks PMRI, yaitu memahami masalah kontekstual, mendeskripsikan masalah kontekstual, menyelesaikan masalah kontekstual, membandingkan dan mendiskusikan jawaban, dan menyimpulkan. LKS yang dikembangkan memfasilitasi kemampuan representasi matematis siswa, yaitu kemampuan mengungkapkan verbal ke simbol, simbol ke visual, dan verbal ke visual. Hasil validasi para ahli menyatakan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan mencapai kategori valid. Hasil pengisian angket penilaian kepraktisan oleh guru menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan mencapai kategori praktis, hasil pengisian angket penilaian kepraktisan oleh siswa menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan mencapai kategori praktis, dan hasil observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran adalah 88,89%. Keefektifan produk terlihat dari hasil kemampuan representasi matematis (KRM). Hasil KRM menunjukkan persentase siswa yang mencapai KKM adalah 76,67% dengan nilai rata-sata 77,67% Secara keseluruhan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah layak untuk digunakan.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, PMRI, kemampuan representasi matematis. Developing a Mathematic Learning Device with PMRI Approach Oriented on Mathematical Representation AbilityAbstract This development research was aimed to produce the lesson plan (RPP) and the worksheet (LKS) are valid, practical , and effective. RPP was developed contain PMRI syntax, ie understanding the contextual problems, describing the contextual problems, solving the contextual problems, comparing and discussing the answers, and concluding. LKS was developed facilitate the mathematical representation ability, ie expressing the verbal to symbol, the symbol to the visual, and the verbal to visual.  The validaty of product can be seen from the results of experts validation which demonstrates that the product is valid. The practicality of product can be seen from the result of the teacher practicality assessment sheet which shows that the product is in a practical category, the result of the students assessment sheet shows that the product is in a practical categories, learning implementation observation shows that the minimum implementation percentage is 88.89% and maximum is 100%. The effectiveness of the product can be seen from the results of mathematical representation ability test. The result of mathematical representation test shows that percentage of students who reach the KKM is 76.67% with a mean value of 77.67%. Overall the results of this study show that the developed learning tools are feasibel to use.Keywords: development, learning tool, PMRI, mathematical representation ability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika bercirikan problem-based learning (PBL) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk mengembangkan higher order thinking skills (HOTS) siswa SMA kelas X semester 2 berupa: rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) dan lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) yang dilengkapi instrumen tes hasil belajar. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D dari Thiagarajan dengan empat tahapan, yaitu: pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Uji coba dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu: uji coba ahli, uji coba terbatas, dan uji coba lapangan. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa yang dipilih dari dua sekolah. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas lembar validasi, penilaian guru, penilaian siswa, dan instrumen tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi aspek validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan.(1) Hasil validitas menunjukkan bahwa RPP dan LKS yang dikembangkan pada kategori valid dengan indeks Aiken pada RPP sebesar 0,69 dan LKS sebesar 0,70. (2) Hasil uji coba terbatas menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan pada kategori praktis. (3) Hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran efektif ditinjau dari HOTS siswa dengan persentase ketuntasan secara klasikal subjek uji coba lebih dari 75%.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran matematika, problem-based learning, higher order thinking skills Mathematics teaching kits based on PBL to develop hots of senior high school students  AbstractThis research is aimed at developing mathematics teaching kit based on problem-based learning which is valid, practical, and effective to develop the higher order thinking of grade X students senior high school in their second semester, which consists of lesson plan and students’ worksheet with test instrument. The research development used the model adapted from 4-D model developed by Thiagarajan with employing steps: defining, planning, developing, and disseminating. The tryout is conducted three steps: expert validation, limited tryout, and field tryout. The tryout subjects were teachers and students from two schools. The instruments used in this research were validation sheet, teacher’s assessment sheet, student’s assessment sheet, and test. The result of the research shows that the developed mathematics teaching kitbased on problem-based learning has met the aspect of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. (1) The result of validation shows that the lesson plan and the students’ worksheet are chategorized as valid with the Aiken analysis showing the index for the lesson plan has achieved 0.69 and the 0.70 for the students’ worksheet. (2) teh result of limited tryout shows that the developed of mathematics teaching kit is practical. (3) the result of field tryout shows that the developed of mathematics teaching is effective interm students’s HOTS with percentage of clasisical mastery subjects reached 75%.Keywords: development, mathematics teaching kit, problem-based learning, higher order thinking skills

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe mathematical literacy of Senior High School students in Yogyakarta. This research was a survey using quantitative design. The population was all of Senior High School students in Yogyakarta. The sampling was a combination of stratified random sampling and cluster random sampling. The sample was 813 students the 10th grade of Senior High School. These schools include high, average and low category based on the score in the national examination of mathematics subject. The data collection was by a test. The student was tested with 13 items of mathematical literacy problems. The analysis of those data used descriptive statistics including mean, standard deviation, maximum and minimum score, total score, and also test statistics z (). The research finding reveals that mathematical literacy of Senior High School students in Yogyakarta is in a very low category. Mathematical literacy of Senior High School students for understanding indicator belong to low category and for the other indicators of process belongs to very a low category.
