Abstract

Based on observation and interview with biology teacher  students critical thinking skill were not optimally developed yet. The experiment aims to find out the influence of applying pictured card media through NHT cooperative learning model  towards improvement of students critical thinking skill. This  quasi experiment study used  pretest posttest group non equivalent designed. Sample in this experiment are students from X2 and X4  class which obtained from population by cluster random sampling tehnique. Quantitative data  was obtained from   pretest and posttest scores which statistically analyzed with t-test using SPSS version 17 in 95% confidence levels. Qualitative data are student’s learning activities and students responses about applying  pictured card media through cooperative learning model type NHT which descriptively analyzed. Result of this study showed that the average of students critical thinking skill  improve significantly ( eksperimen class="70",64 control = 33,44). The average of student learning activities percentage in all observed aspects in experimental class showed  increased significantly  (eksperimen = 81,69% kontrol = 67,51%). The students (90,09%) also gives positive responses in appyling pictured card media through  NHT cooperative learning model. Keywords:  picture card media,, cooperative learning of NHT critical thinking skill, protista

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of media use image through the discovery method of KPS. This study design was pretest-posttest non equivalent group. Samples were VIID and VIIG, chosen by cluster random sampling. This research data the form of quantitative which obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by using t-test and U-test. The qualitative data which obtained from the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of students were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of media images through the discovery method was able to improve the students KPS, it was shown at the value of (N-gain 64.39) experimental class higher and significantly different than the control classes (N-gain19.90). Learning activities of the students was also improved with average 77.78 of the experimental class and 62.79 in the control class. Most students responded positively to media images through the use of discovery methods. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media gembar melalui metode discovery terhadap KPS. Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok nonequivalent. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIID dan VIIG, dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan media gambar melalui metode discovery dapat meningkatkan KPS siswa, terlihat pada nilai (N-gain 64,39) kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dan berbeda nyata dibandingkan kelas kontrol (N-gain 19,90). Aktivitas belajar siswa juga meningkat dengan rata-rata 77,78 kelas eksperimen dan 62,79 pada kelas kontrol. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of learning outcomes and student activity by using word square worksheets through a video on the subject of the ecosystem. Samples were students in the class X1 and X2 SMAN 1 Talangpadang which were selected by purposive sampling and the design of research is pretest posttest non-equivalent groups. The type of data in this research is quantitative data in the form of learning outcome data were analyzed using t-test and u-test, qualitative data in the form of learning activity data and response data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed student learning outcomes improved significantly with an average score of N-a gain of 50.25% was obtained from indicators of cognitive domains, namely C2 and C3 supported by student activity data with an average percentage of 79.81% in good criteria and positive responses from students. So it can be concluded that the use of the word square worksheets can affect learning outcomes and student activities significantly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan LKS word square melalui video pada materi ekosistem. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2SMAN 1 Talangpadang yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dan desain penelitian pretes postes kelompok non-ekuivalen. Jenis data penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif berupa data hasil belajar yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-u, data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar dan data tanggapan yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian hasil belajar siswa meningkat secara signifikan dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 50,25% didapatkan dari indikator ranah kognitif yaitu C2 dan C3 didukung data aktivitas siswa dengan presentase rata-rata 79,81% yang berkriteria baik dan tanggapan positif siswa. Maka dapat disimpulkan penggunaan LKS word square dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa secara signifikan.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, LKS word square melalui video

Abstract

This study design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. Samples were X1 and X2 selected by cluster random sampling. This data were quantitative and qualitative. Qualitative data in the form of descriptions of activities and students questionare responses. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of test were analyzed using t-test or U test. The results showed that activities discussion, argument, ask the questions, answer the questions, and make inferences were improved. Material mastery of students was also improve with average N-gain 39,35. Thus, it could be concluded that the use Snowball Throwing model give influence in increasing the activity and material mastery of students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing terhadap aktivitas dan penguasaan materi siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes postes kelompok tak ekuivalen.  Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2 yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling.  Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas belajar siswa. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t atau uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas berdiskusi, berpendapat, bertanya, menjawab pertanyaan, dan membuat kesimpulan mengalami peningkatan. Penguasaan materi siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain 39,35. Dengan demikian,  pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi. Kata kunci: aktivitas siswa, penguasaan materi, snowball throwing

Abstract

The results of interviews and observation at X grades of SMA Negeri 2 Metro, showed that the student’s learning activities and material mastery is low. This study aimed to determine the effect of GI models in increase student’s learning activities and material mastery. The design is equivalent control group. The sample were class X5 and X7 which selected by purposive sampling. The data in quantitative and qualitative form. Quantitative data obtained from the average of pretest, posttest and N-gain were analyzed using t-test or U test. Qualitative data in descriptions of students' learning activities form. The results showed that the GI models can improve student material mastery with average score of pretest (39.33), posttest (78.08), and gain (0,63). Learning activity also increased by an average of 53.85% with enough criteria. Thus, GI models significantly affect student’s learning activity and mastery of biodiversity subject matter. Hasil wawancara dengan guru biologi dan observasi di kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Metro, diketahui bahwa aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi siswa masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model GI terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi siswa. Desain penelitian adalah kelompok kontrol ekivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X5 dan X7 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretest, postest dan gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t atau uji U.  Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model GI dapat meningkatkan penguasaan materi siswa dengan rata-rata nilai pretest (39,33); postest (78,08); dan gain (0,63). Aktivitas belajar juga mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata berkriteria cukup yaitu 53,85%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model GI berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi siswa pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar siswa, keanekaragaman hayati, model GI, penguasaan materi siswa.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of Talking Stick model in improving the afective of receiving and responding of the students at environmental pollution and waste material. The design was one-shot case study. The sample was class X1 selected by cluster random sampling. The research data was qualitative form. The qualitative data was obtained from the afective of receiving and responding percentage of the students by using Talking Stick model that was analyzed descriptively. The result showed that using Talking Stick model can improve the afective of receiving of the students with an average of 77.77% with good criteria and responding of the students with an average of 84.71% with good criteria. It was also showed from the increase of all aspects that was observed. Thus it can be concluded that using Talking Stick model in influence in increasing the afective of receiving and responding of the students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Talking Stick terhadap afektif receiving dan responding siswa pada materi Pencemaran Lingkungan dan Limbah. Desain penelitian ini adalah one-shot case study. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X1 yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif. Data kualitatif berupa rata-rata persentase afektif receiving dan responding siswa terhadap penggunaan model Talking Stick yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model Talking Stick dapat meningkatkan afektif receiving dengan rata-rata sebesar 77,77% dengan kriteria baik dan responding dengan rata-rata sebesar 84,71% dengan kriteria baik.  Hal ini juga terlihat dari peningkatan untuk semua aspek yang di amati. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model Talking Stick berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan afektif receiving dan responding siswa. Kata kunci : afektif receiving, afektif responding, pencemaran lingkungan dan limbah, talking stick

Abstract

One of the life skills that need to be developed through a process of education is critical thinking skills, but in MAN 1 (Model) Bandar Lampung, critical thinking skills students have not developed optimally. This study aimed to determine the influence of illustrated cards media through Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model towards the increase of students' critical thinking skills.This study was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design in non-equivalent groups. The research samples were class X4 and X5, selected from the population in accordance with cluster random sampling. The data of this study in the form of quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data was obtained from the average value of pretest and posttest, were statistically analyzed by t-test with SPSS version 17 at the level of 95%. Qualitative data in the form of descriptions of students' critical thinking skills, students’ activity data and students’ responses to the use of illustrated card media through TAI learning model that analyzed descriptively. The results showed students' critical thinking skills in experimental class as a whole or for each indicator has increased (pretest = 0.84; posttest = 42.79, N-gain = 0.42). The average percentage of students’ activity in experiments class also showed improvement in all aspects. In addition, all students gave positive responses to the use of illustrated card media through TAI learning model. Thus, learning to use the illustrated card media through learning model TAI influential on the increase of students' critical thinking skills. Abstract

This research aims to determine cooperation quality using group discussion method. The research design was simple descriptive. The subjects were students of VIII B and VIII E class randomly selected by cluster random sampling technique. The research data was qualitative data obtained from students cooperation quality. Data analyzed using simple statistic which was descriptive persentage. The results showed that cooperation quality of VIII B class increased with average 62.50% of good criteria, 15.28% of very good criteria, and 11.12% of not good criteria. At class VIII E with average 56.95% of good criteria, 23.62% of very good criteria, and 13.89% of not good criteria. All of cooperation quality indicator at first and second meeting have good criteria. Therefore, the cooperation quality have good criteria in learning with discussion method.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kualitas kerjasama menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok. Desain penelitian ini deskriptif sederhana. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII B dan VIII E dipilih secara acak dengan teknik clusster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif berupa kualitas kerjasama siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik sederhana yakni deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian kualitas kerjasama mengalami peningkatan pada kelas VIII B dengan rata-rata 62,50 % berkriteria baik, 15,28 % berkriteria sangat baik, dan 11,12 berkriteria kurang baik. Pada kelas VIII E dengan rata-rata sebanyak 56,95% berkriteria baik, 23,62 % berkriteria sangat baik dan 13,89 % kurang baik. Seluruh indikator kualitas kerjasama pada pertemuan pertama dan pertemuan kedua berkriteria baik. Jadi, kualitas kerjasama berkriteria baik pada pembelajaran menggunakan metode diskusi.Kata kunci: kualitas kerjasama, metode diskusi, pertumbuhan dan perkembangan makhluk hidup

Abstract

The purpose of this study was know the influence of using learning model STAD through video in increasing activities and material mastery of students class X SMA 7 Bandar Lampung. The study design was pretest-postest non equivalent. X8 and X9 were samples of this study which was chosen by cluster random sampling. The research data were quantitative which was obtained from the average of pretest and posttest analyzed by using t-test or U test. The qualitative was learning activities which obtained from observation sheet and analyzed by index learning activities. The result showed that learning activities of experiment class increased (71.35%). The average of material mastery of students experiment class higher than control class (experiment=80,49; control=77,93). Thus, the conclusion was learning activities and material mastery of pollution area could be improved by using STAD through video.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran tipe STAD melalui media video dalam peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa kelas X SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung. Desain penelitian ini adalah tes awal-tes akhir tak equivalen.  Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X8 dan X9 yang ditetapkan secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t atau uji U. Data kualitatif yaitu aktivitas belajar siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan dianalisis menggunakan indeks aktivitas belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan (71,35%). Rata-rata penguasaan materi oleh siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (eksperimen = 80,49;  kontrol = 77,93). Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD melalui media video berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi Pencemaran Lingkungan oleh siswa. Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, media video, penguasaan materi, STAD

Abstract

Observation result at X class of SMA N 3 Kotabumi, known that the result of students learning still low. A solution is needed to improve student’s learning activity and result that is PBL models. The objectives of this research were know the influence of PBL in improve students learning activities and result. This research is a quasi experiment with pretest-posttest nonequivalent. The sample was students at X9 and X8 which was chosen with purposive sampling. The quantitative data gattered from pretest, posttest, and N-gain score which was analyzed by t-test. The qualitative data in form of description activities and questionnaire of students response on the using of PBL models. The result of students learning activities are in average of high criteria. The result of students learning was increase, with N-gain average (0,58). Then the result of questionaire shows that all of the students gives positive response with PBL model. Thus, PBL model has a effect on student learning activities and result.  Keywords: learning activities, PBL models, pollution and conservation of environmental, result of learning.
