Abstract

Based on interviews and observation at VIII grade of SMP Negeri 1 Merbau Mataram Lampung Selatan showed that the student’s science prosess skill was low. This study aimed to determine the effect of guide inquiry model in increase student’s science process skill. The design pretest-posttest was non-equivalent. The sample were class VIII B and VIII C whice selected by cluster random sampling. Research data obtained from the pretest, posttest, and observation of student activity sheets. Analysis using the t test and U test using SPSS 16 and using student activity classification. Results of this study indicate that students' science process skills in the experimental class had no significant difference compared to the control class (experimental = 68.46; control= 66.06). Thus the use of guided inquiry model of the material structure and function of tissues in plants affect the students skill acquisition process.Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi kalas VIII SMPN 1 Merbau Mataram Lampung Selatan diketahui proses pengembangan ketrampilan proses sains masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Desain penelitian ini pretest-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII B dan VIII C yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian yang diperoleh dari pretes, postes, dan lemba robservasi aktivitas siswa. Analisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U dengan menggunakan program SPSS 16 serta mengunakan klasifikasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa pada kelas eksperimen memiliki perbedaan yang tidak signifikan dibanding kelas kontrol (eksperimen= 68,46; kontrol= 66,06). Dengan demikian penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing pada materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan pada tumbuhan berpengaruh dalam penguasaan keterampilan proses siswaKata kunci : keterampilan proses sains, model inkuiri, struktur dan fungsi tubuh tumbuhan

Abstract

Students achievement is the ultimate goal is linked to the implementation of the learning process. Observations in X grade Senior High School 1 Natar, known that student activity and achievement is low. This study aimed to determine the effect of PBL models in improving student activity and achievement. The design was non-equivalent control group. The sample was class X3and X5 selected by purpossive sampling. This data is quantitative and qualitative form. Quantitative data obtained average value of the pretest, posttest and N-gain on Biodiversity material. Qualitative data obtained percentage average of students activities and responses of uses PBL models was analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of PBL models can improve student learning activities with an average of 66% it is also evident from the increase observed for all aspects. Students achievement in the experimental class also increase with average value of N-gain is 67,38. In addition, all students gave positive response to the use of PBL models. Thus, it can be concluded that the uses PBL models is influential in increasing the students activity and achievement. Abstract

 Student involvement is one of the important factors in improving learning outcomes. Experimental method requires students to be more active in learning activities. Therefore, this study used an experimental method of inquiry and experimental verification. This study was aimed to compare of inquiry experiment method and verification of student learning outcome of cognitive and psychomotor. Design of this study was pretest-posttest non equivalent group. Samples were VIIA and VIID, chosen by purposive sampling. The data of research consist of quantitative data are student’s learning outcomes of cognitive aspect were analyzed using U-test and psychomotor aspect were analyzed by manner descriptive. Research results indicate using inquiry experiment method (N-gain 55.81) higher and significan be diffirent than verification experiment method (N-gain 43.17). The psychomotor of student learning outcome in inquiry experiment class (73%) as high as with verification experiment class (70%).Keterlibatan siswa merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar. Metode eksperimen menuntut siswa menjadi lebih aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen inkuiri dan eksperimen verifikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbandingan metode eksperimen inkuiri dan verifikasi terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan psikomotor. Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok non-equivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIA dan VIID, dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yaitu hasil belajar aspek kognitif siswa yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U dan hasil belajar aspek psikomotor yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan metode eksperimen inkuiri (N-gain 55.81) lebih tinggi dan berbeda signifikan dibandingkan eksperimen verifikasi (N-gain 43.17). Hasil belajar aspek psikomotor siswa pada kelas eksperimen inkuiri (73%) sama tinggi dengan kelas eksperimen verifikasi (70%).Kata kunci: eksperimen inkuiri, eksperimen verifikasi, hasil belajar

Abstract

The results of interviews with teachers in high school biology class XI Swadhipa Natar, it is known that subjects, especially biology subject matter Digestive System Food is delivered by using the method of discussion. Though this material has special characteristics that examine the mechanisms of complex processes that are difficult to understand, and involve organs that correspond to the structure and function of complex. The purpose of this study is to determine effect of Predict, Observe, Explain And (POE)  learning model  on student’s  learning activities  and mastering  of  Food Digestion System  concepts  of  Swadhipa  high school students. This  a quasi-experimental  strudy  used pretest-posttest  with non-equivalent dsigned. The  sample   were  students of  class   XI IPA2 as the experimental group and class XI IPA1 as a control  which was  selected from the population at random cluster sampling. Data was collected   as  in  percentage form.   The students’ actvities observed consists of five (5)  abilities of predicting, observing, describing, working together, and making conclusion. The study resulted that POE learning model  could enhanced the students’  predicting  ability  up to 20%,  observing ability up to 19%, describing ability up to 24%,  abity to work together up to 22,8%, and  ability of making onferences up to 16%

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of GI type of cooperative learning toward students’ critical thinking ability. This research design is prettest-posttest non equivalent group. Samples were IXb and IXc that was chosen through cluster random sampling. The quantitative data was obtained from the average value of test were analyzed using t-test and U test. The qualitative data was description of students’ activity. The results of this research showed that students’ critical thinking ability was increasing with average of gain was 0.30 and had low criteria. The average of percentage whole of students’ activity include teamwork, presentation, asking, and answer had precisely citeria (59.49%). However, the increase of students’ critical thinking ability increased significantly, so can be concluded that GI type of cooperative learning has significant influence in increasing this ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis (KBK) siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas IXb dan IXc yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasilnpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa KBK siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata gain 0.30 dan berkriteria rendah. Adapun Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa yang meliputi bekerja sama, menyajikan hasil akhir, bertanya, dan menanggapi secara keseluruhan berkriteria cukup (59.49%). Meski demikian, peningkatan KBK siswa terjadi secara signifikan, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan KBK siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, GI, KBK

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of TGT learning model and flash card media toward students learning activity and material understanding. This study was designed using not equevalent group pretest posttest design. The samples were students of grade X1 and X2 and it was established by purposive sampling. The qualitative data of students learning activity was collected by observation sheet, and students respones was collected by questionnaire, then it was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data of material understanding was collected by an average value of pretest, posttest and N-Gain, then it was analyzed statistically using t-test and U-test. The results of this study showed an increased students learning activity with percentage 80,16% as high criteria, but it was not influence significantly to students material understanding of Plant Kingdom. The N-gain average of material understanding on C1 indicator was 92,8617,93; and C3 indicator was 32,7127,79 were not different significantly. While, C2 indicator was 86,5424,13 different significantly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran TGT dengan media kartu bergambar terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar yang diperoleh melalui lembar observasi, dan tanggapan siswa diperoleh melalui angket, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif berupa penguasaan materi siswa diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain, kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata aktivitas belajar yaitu 80,16% dengan kriteria tinggi, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan penguasaan materi Dunia Tumbuhan. Rata-rata N-gain penguasaan materi pada indikator C1 sebesar 92,8617,93; dan indikator C3 sebesar 32,7127,79 tidak berbeda signifikan, namun indikator C2 sebesar 86,5424,13 berbeda signifikan.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, kartu bergambar, penguasaan materi, TGT

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the influence of using NHT model in improving student learning activity and material mastery. The research design was pretest-post test non equivalent group. The research samples were XI IPA1 and XI IPA2 was chosen by purposive sampling. The qualitative data were gotten by student learning activity observation sheet and student responses questionnaire, that were analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data was the test value average, that was analyzed by t-test and U-test. The result showed that the learning activity average improved by well criteria (78.89) with each percentage were forming groups (92.22), give ideas or opinions (83.33), answer questions (77.78), and responding answers (62.22). The material mastery improve with N-gain average score (63.16). The most of student also responded positively to the NHT model application. Thus, the using of NHT model was influenced to improve the student learning activity and material mastery of immune system significantly. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model NHT dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2 yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif berupa rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis dengan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata aktivitas belajar meningkat dengan kriteria baik (78,89), dengan persentase masing-masing yaitu membentuk kelompok (92,22), memberikan ide/pendapat (83,33), menjawab pertanyaan (77,78), dan menanggapi jawaban (62,22). Penguasaan materi meningkat dengan rata-rata N-gain (63,16). Sebagian besar siswa juga memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model NHT. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model NHT berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi sistem pertahanan tubuh secara signifikan.  Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, model pembelajaran NHT, penguasaan materi, sistem pertahanan tubuh

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of using picture card media toward students rational thinking skill. The research design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. Samples were X5  and X6 that was choosen by cluster random  sampling method. The data of research were  quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative data was taken from the average of  pretest and posttest scores which statistically analyzed with t-test using SPSS 17.0  in 95% confidence levels. The qualitative data which was analyzed descriptively were students learning activities and students responses about applicating picture card media through cooperative learning model type Group Investigation. The result of the  research showed that there was no significant effect of picture card media toward students rational thinking skill (tcounting  (1,412) ttable (1,671)). Most of student learning activities categorized as high average (76,57 %). Furthermore the students gave positive responses to this research.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media kartu bergambar terhadap keterampilan berpikir rasional siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-postest kelompok non-ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X5dan X6 yang dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random  sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan  kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari  rata-rata nilai pretest dan postest dan dianalisis secara statistik melalui uji t dengan program SPSS 17.0 dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Data kualitatif yang dianalisis secara deskriptif berupa aktivitas belajar siswa dan  tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan media kartu bergambar melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan media kartu bergambar terhadap keterampilan berpikir rasional siswa (thitung  (1,412) ttabel (1,671) ). Sebagian besar  aktivitas belajar siswa berkriteria  tinggi (76,57 %). Selain itu, sebagian besar  siswa  memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penelitian ini. Kata kunci: group investigation, keterampilan berpikir rasional, media kartu bergambar

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the effect of using learning the model (TSTS) on students learning outcomes of human reproduction system material at class XI IPA SMAN 1 Sukadana Lampung Timur. The sample was class XI IPA I as experimental class and class XI IPA II as control class by purposive random sampling. The result of TSTS showed student learning outcomes, with an average value of pretest (28,53), posttest (69,6) N-gain (58,28). Class control outcomes had average value of pretest (23,65), posttest (56,99) N-gain (43,72). The increasing of learning result influenced by students learning. In the aspects of asking a question (64%), giving an answer (72%),giving opinion (76%). The result was same in control class. In the aspects of asking a question (57%), giving an answer (58%), and giving an opinion (67%). The conclusion is the using of TSTS learning model have influence towards students learning result and studentslerning activities.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran (TSTS) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok sistem reproduksi manusia kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Sukadana Lampung Timur. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pretest postest kelompok tak ekuivalen sampel penelitian siswa kelas XI IPA1 kelas eksperimen I dan XI IPA2 kelas kontrol dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penggunaan model TSTS menunjukan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretes (28,53), postes (69,6)N-gain (58,28). Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol hasil belajar rata-rata nilai pretes (23,65), postes 56,99, N-gain (43,72). Meningkatnya hasil belajar juga dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas belajar siswa pada aspek bertanya (64%);menjawab pertanyaan (72%);mengungkapkan pendapat (76%). Hasil aktivitas belajar pada kelas control juga berkriteria cukup. Pada aspek bertanya 57% ,menjawab pertanyan 58% mengungkapkan pendapat 67%. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa pengunaan model pembelajaran TSTS berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar dan aktifitas belajar siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, sistem reproduksi manusia,Two Stay Two Stray

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the students’ critical thinking ability through TSTS and GW model in excretion system subject and students activity in teaching leaning process.The design of this research was pretest-posttest non equivalent. The research sample was students of XI IPA 1 as the first experimental class and XI IPA 2 as the second experimental class that was taken by cluster random sampling technique. The quantitative data was taken from pretest and posttest score and also N-gain that was analyzed by t-test on the level accurate of 95%. The qualitative data was the students’ critical thinking ability, data of students’ learning activities and questionnaire of students’ reaction on TSTS and GW model.The result of this research shown that TSTS model has been more increasing students’ critical thinking ability than GW model, it was shown by N-gain score on TSTS class (44,03) while in the GW class (32,30). The highest increasing indicator of students’ critical thinking ability was giving argument (32,74%), while the highest GW indicator was doing deduction (31,15%). The average of students’ activity in TSTS class was 84.44 while in GW class was 77,51. The highest activity in TSTS class and GW class occurred when changing information. Key words: Two Stay Two Stray, Gallery Walk, Critical thinking ability, Students’ activities, Excretion System
