Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of discovery learning model towards studentss senior high school critical thinking skill. The design of research was the pretest-posttest non equivalent group. The samples were students of XI MIA3 and XI MIA4 that were chosen by purposive sampling technique. Quantitative data were critical thinking skill results that were obtained from pretest, posttest, and N-gain which were analyzed using t test and U test at the level of 5%. Qualitative data were obtained from the activity and studentss perception that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the average of N-gain using discovery learning was 44,76 which was higher than discussion method class that was 27,61. The average percentage of studentss activity by using discovery learning was 75,00% which was higher than discussion method class that was 59,49%. Thus the discovery learning model influence the improvement of students critical thinking skill.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Discovery Learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain pretest-posttest tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIA3 dan XI MIA4, dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa rata-rata nilai pretest, posttest dan gain keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa hasil aktivitas belajar dan tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas yang menggunakan Discovery Learning lebih tinggi 44,76 dibandingkan kelas yang menggunkan metode diskusi 27,61. Pada kelas yang menggunakan Discovery Learning rata-rata keseluruhan dari aktivitas belajar lebih tinggi 75,00% dibandingkan kelas yang menggunakan metode diskusi 59,49%. Dengan demikian model Discovery Learning berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, berpikir kritis, discovery learning

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the students creativity in using PjBL model. The research used type one-shot case study design. The sample of this research were X4 grade students of SMAN 1 Bandar Sribhawono. They were chose using purposive sampling technique. Qualitative data were obtained from rubric assessment, that were: students creativity, students product, and scoring questionnaire about other product and students comment about PjBL model. The result showed that most of the students creativity categorized as creative (64,96%) in planning including the aspect of making plan, interdicipline of knowledge and concept application, exploration and developing ideas of product designing, choosing the right materials, and using tools. Most of product was categorized as quite creative (54,11%) including the new aspects, unique, useful, correct, economic value and heuristic. So, PjBL model could improve the students creativity categorized as creative and quite creative product.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kreativitas siswa menggunakan model PjBL. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah tipe one-shot case study. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X4 SMAN 1 Bandar Sribhawono, dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui rubrik penilaian: kreativitas siswa, produk siswa, angket penilaian siswa terhadap produk lainnya dan angket tanggapan siswa terhadap model PjBL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kreativitas siswa berkriteria kreatif (64,96%) dalam perencanaan meliputi aspek membuat perencanaan, interdisiplin ilmu dan aplikasi konsep, eksplorasi dan mengembangkan gagasan mendesain produk, memilih bahan yang tepat dan menggunakan alat. Rata-rata produk berkriteria cukup kreatif (54,11%) meliputi aspek baru, unik, berguna, benar, nilai ekonomi produk, dan heuristik. Dengan demikian, PjBL dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa yaitu berkriteria kreatif dan produk yang cukup kreatif.Kata kunci:daur ulang limbah, kreativitas, PjBL

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of Student Work Sheet based on Guided Inquiry of students Science Process Skill. Study design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Samples were VII3 and VII4 SMPN 1 Pagelaran which were chosen by Purposive Sampling. Quantitative data which obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by t-test and U-test. The qualitative data was observation of Science Process Skill and questionnaire responses that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the average value of N-gain (69,99) in experiment class was higher than control class (46,69), significantly. Observation result of Science Process Skill has high criteria (79,16%), and most of the students gave positive respond to Student Work Sheet based on Guided Inquiry. Therefore, using Student Work Sheet based on Guided Inquiry could increase Science Process Skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) siswa. Desain penelitian pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian kelas VII3 dan VII4 SMPN 1 Pagelaran, dipilih secara Purposive Sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa data observasi KPS dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (69,99) berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol (49,69). Hasil rata-rata persentase observasi KPS memiliki kriteria tinggi (79,16%) dan sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan LKS berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing. Dengan demikian penggunaan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains.Kata kunci : interaksi antar makhluk hidup, keterampilan proses sains, LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing

Abstract

This research purpose was to know the influence of PBL based on the gender of the student rational thinking and the improvement. The quantitative data were rational thinking skills of students based on gender that were obtained from the score of pretest, posttest and N-gain. The qualitative data were students learning activity data. The results of study indicated that the application of PBL model could improve the skills of rational thinking female with N-gain of 54,29 and male students with N-gain of 41,37. The ability of female and male students from each indicators of rational thinking for problem-solving skills as an indicator of the highest but female had an average higher than male students. Average results of student learning activities showed that the percentage of student activity in females (76.62%) was higher than male students (52.26%). Thus, the application of PBL model based on gender have a significant effect in improving the rational thinking skills and students learning activities.Tujuan penelitian mengetahui pengaruh model PBM berdasarkan gender terhadap berpikir rasional siswa dan peningkatannya. Data kuantitatif berupa keterampilan berpikir rasional berdasarkan gender diperoleh dari nilai pretest, posttest dan N-gain. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar. Hasil penelitian penerapan PBM meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir rasional perempuan N-gain 54,29 dan laki-laki N-gain 41,37. Kemampuan perempuan dan laki-laki setiap indikator kemampuan berpikir rasional untuk kemampuan memecahkan masalah sebagai indikator yang paling tinggi namun siswa perempuan memiliki rata-rata lebih tinggi dibandingkan laki-laki. Hasil rata-rata aktivitas belajar memperlihatkan persentase aktivitas siswa perempuan (76,62%) lebih tinggi daripada laki-laki (52,26%). Dengan demikian penerapan model PBM berdasarkan gender berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir rasional dan aktivitas belajar siswa.Kata kunci : gender, keterampilan berpikir rasional, PBM

Abstract

This research qimed to know the influence of organic fertilizer of kepok banana skin against the growth of spinach plant. The results of the research can be used for making experiment worksheet of plant growth and development at grade XII of High School. The plan used was completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and six repetitions with organic fertilizer consentration 0, 20, 40, 60 ml/plant/application. The worksheet performed feasibility test with two examiners are education biology and biology subject teacher grade XII. The research results showed that by giving liquid organic fertilizer of kepok banana skin had significant effect for the growth of plant height, number of leaves and leaf wide on spinach plants. In the P1 treatment with a concentration of 20 ml was the best concentration and research results can be used for making experiment worksheet of plant growth and development with a very suitable categories.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik kulit pisang kepok terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman bayam dan mengetahui hasil penelitian dapat digunakan dalam pembuatan LKS eksperimen materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman kelas XII SMA. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan enam pengulangan dengan konsentrasi pupuk organik 0, 20, 40, 60 ml/tanaman/aplikasi. Pada LKS dilakukan uji kelayakan dengan 2 penguji yaitu dosen pendidikan biologi dan guru mata pelajaran biologi kelas XII. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair kulit pisang kepok berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun serta luas daun tanaman bayam. Pada konsentrasi 20 ml merupakan konsentrasi terbaik dan hasil penelitian dapat layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.Kata kunci : kulit buah pisang kepok, LKS, pertumbuhan tanaman bayam, pupuk organik

Abstract

The aim of this research was to figure out the effect of using Problem Posing toward creative thinking skill and students learning activity. The research used pretest and posttest non-equivalent design with class X3 and X7 Senior High School 1 Bangunrejo as the samples. Quantitative data were creative thinking skill which were obtained from average value of pretest, posttest, and N-gain and analyzed by U-test and t-test. Qualitative data were students learning activity that were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that N-gain average of experiment class was 66.85, which was higher than control class was 19.17 and different significantly. The activity of expressing opinions, searching for information, and asking questions, on experiment class was High criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that Problem Posing improved the creative thinking skill and students learning activity.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan problem posing terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan design pretest-posttest kelompok tak ekuivalen dengan kelas X3 dan X7 SMAN 1 Bangunrejo sebagai sampel. Data kuantitatif berupa kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang diperoleh dari nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain yang dianalisis dengan uji t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (66,85) dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol (19,17) dan berbeda signifikan. Aktivitas mengemukakan pendapat, mengajukan pertanyaan, dan mencari informasi, pada kelas eksperimen berkriteria tinggi. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan model problem posing meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan akivitas belajar siswa.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar siswa, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, problem posing

Abstract

A research purpose was to analyze students scientific attitude and science process skill on animal development subject. Samples of the research were 45 students. The percentages of students scientific attitude was 97.13% with good criteria, curiosity was 73.13% with good criteria, teamwork was 90.99% with very good criteria, accuracy was 82.88% with very good criteria, discipline was 87,34% with very good criteria and confidence was 57.91% with poor criteria. Overall, the percentage of the discipline scientific attitude was 81.56% with very good criteria. Meanwhile, the percentages of science skill process parameter that was observed skill was 67.79% with medium criteria, communicating was 77.04% with good criteria, predicting was 67.30% with medium criteria, inferring was 63.57% with medium criteria average and controlling variable was 57.56% with good criteria. Overall, the percentage of the students science skill process was 69.61% which was categorized medium.Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk memberikan analisis sikap ilmiah dan keterampilan proses mahasiswa yang mengikuti kegiatan praktikum pada mata kuliah perkembangan hewan di program studi pendidikan biologi T.A 2009/2010. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2008 yang mengambil mata kuliah perkembangan hewan dengan jumlah 45 orang. Adapun rerata persentase parameter sikap ilmiah adalah tanggung jawab 97.13% (baik sekali), rasa ingintahu 73.13% (baik), kerjasama 90.99% (baik sekali), ketelitian 82.88% (baik sekali), displin 87.34% (baik sekali) dan percaya diri 57.91% (kurang). Secara keseluruhan sikap ilmiah mahasiswa yang mengikuti kegiatan praktikum pada mata kuliah perkembangan hewan sebesar 81.56% dengan kategori baik sekali. Rerata persentase parameter keterampilan proses sebagai berikut keterampilan mengobservasi 67.79% (cukup), mengkomunikasikan 77.04% (baik), memprediksi 67.30% (cukup), mengiferensi 63.57% (cukup) dan mengontrol variable 75.56% (baik). Secara keseluruhan keterampilan proses mahasiswa yang mengikuti kegiatan praktikum perkembangan hewan dikategorikan cukup sebesar 69.61%. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of PBI to creative thinking skill in argumentative writing and student responses by using PBI on human role in environmental management subject matter. The samples were student of VII1 and VII5 SMP Satya Dharma Sudjana Lampung Tengah by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was pretest-posttest non equivalent. The quantitative data of creative thinking skills were obtained from pretest, posttest and N-Gain which were analyzed by t test and U test. The qualitative data was student responses from questionnaire which were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that PBI increase creative thinking skill on students argumentative writing significantly with the average of N-gain in experiment class (44,20%) which was higher than control class (36,27%). More than 80% students gave positive responses to the using of PBI. Based on this research PBI gave influence to improved creative thinking in argumentative writing.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh PBI terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam tulisan argumentatif dan tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan PBI materi peran manusia dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Sampel adalah siswa kelas VII1 dan VII5 di SMP Satya Dharma Sudjana Lampung Tengah dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini pretest-posttest non equivalen. Data kuantatif kemampuan berpikir kreatif diperoleh dari pretest, posttest, dan N-Gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa tanggapan siswa dari angket yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil menunjukkan PBI meningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam tulisan argumentatif siswa secara signifikan dengan rata- rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen (44,20%) lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol sebesar (36,27%). Lebih dari 87% siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan PBI. Oleh karena itu, PBI berpengaruh meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam tulisan argumentatif.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kreatif, PBI, tulisan argumentatif

Abstract

This research purposed to know the influence of using worksheet based on Guided Inquiry towards students CSP in junior high school on material of Global Warming. Research design was pretest-posttest of the nonequivalent group. Research sample were class VII.1 and VII.2 with purposive sampling technique. The students CSP data that were obtained from the score of pretest, posttest and N-gain were analyzed by t-test. The CSP qualitative data and the responses were analyzed descriptively. The research result was N-gain=76 17. The observation of students CSP was 83,2%. 81.45% of students gave the positive response to the use of the worksheet based on Guided Inquiry. Then, this worksheet based on Guided Inquiry had significant influence in increasing the students CSP on material of Global Warming.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan LKS berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing terhadap KPS siswa SMP pada materi Pemanasan Global. Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian kelas VII.1 dan VII.2 dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data KPS siswa yang diperoleh dari nilai pretest, posttest dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Data kualitatif KPS dan tanggapan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian N-gain = 76 17. Observasi KPS siswa yaitu 83,2%. 81,45% siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan LKS berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of PBI model to self efficacy and students learning outcomes on the influence of population density to environment subject matter. The design of this research was control group pretest-posttest. The samples of this research were the students at VIIA and VIIB SMPN 2 Seputih Mataram which were chosen by purposive sampling. The learning outcomes were analyzed statistically by using one way anova. The qualitative data were the increasing of self efficacy which were obtained from questionaire and analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the average of self efficacy in experiment class (76) was higher than control class (67,8) and students learning outcomes increased significantly with the average in experiment class (62,2) and control class (54). Based on this research, it can be concluded that the PBI model gave influence to self efficacy and students learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBI terhadap Self efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok pengaruh kepadatan populasi manusia terhadap lingkungan. Desain penelitian ini control group pretest postest. Sampel adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB SMPN 2 Seputih Mataram dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data hasil belajar dianalisis dengan Anova satu jalur. Data kualitatif berupa peningkatan self efficacy yang diperoleh melalui angket yang dianalisa secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata self efficacy kelas eksperimen (76) lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol (67,8) dan hasil belajar siswa meningkat signifikan dengan rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen (62,2) dan kelas kontrol (54). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran PBI berpengaruh terhadap self efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, PBI, self efficacy
