Abstract

Indonesian primary schools show uneven performance despite similar resources. This study contributes a cross-level resource-conversion model in which principal-perceived student engagement mediates the association between organizational capability and institutional performance, while principal-perceived learning motivation conditions that association. Survey data from 218 principals were analyzed with partial least squares structural equation modeling. Organizational capability was positively associated with engagement and performance, and engagement partially mediated the capability-performance relationship. Learning motivation showed a small, borderline negative interaction with capability, providing preliminary evidence consistent with resource substitution. The study therefore places the engagement-mediated pathway at the center of its contribution and treats motivation as a provisional boundary condition. Principals and district offices should diagnose student motivational conditions when designing capability-building interventions rather than assume uniform engagement returns.

Abstract

The growth of halal tourism underscores the need to understand tourist behavior in multicultural destinations. This study contributes to halal tourism literature by examining how Muslim-friendly facilities, tourism service quality, and government support influence tourist visit intensity in Singkawang, Indonesia, a culturally diverse destination. Grounded in Demand Theory, Customer Satisfaction Theory, and the Theory of Planned Behavior, the study employed a quantitative design involving 550 Muslim tourists with at least two prior visits. Data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings demonstrate that all three factors positively and significantly influence tourist visit intensity, with government support emerging as the strongest predictor. These findings extend halal tourism research beyond Muslim-majority destination contexts by establishing the importance of institutional support alongside tourism infrastructure and service quality. Policymakers and tourism stakeholders should prioritize coordinated institutional support, accessible Muslim-friendly facilities, and service excellence to strengthen inclusive and sustainable tourism.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Green Financing on financial performance through the mediating role of Green Innovation in Indonesian listed banking companies. It contributes to the sustainable finance literature by explaining how Green Innovation serves as a strategic mechanism linking Green Financing to financial performance. The study employs a quantitative approach using panel data from 14 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2022–2024. Green Financing is measured by the natural logarithm of total sustainable financing, Green Innovation by the Green Innovation Disclosure Index (GIDI), and financial performance by Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). Panel regression and Sobel mediation tests reveal that Green Financing significantly promotes Green Innovation. Green Innovation negatively affects ROA and ROE but positively influences CAR while significantly mediating the relationship between Green Financing and financial performance.
