Abstract

This study investigates the effect of coopetition strategies on the business performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) supporting industrial clusters. The research involved 30 SMEs engaged in metal production processes, selected from a population of 52 companies sharing similar production facilities and expertise. Internal capabilities were measured across four variables: innovation, experience, education, and networking, while coopetition strategies were assessed through marketing network cooperation and production process cooperation. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through path analysis. The findings reveal that innovation and networking capabilities significantly enhance business performance both directly and indirectly through coopetition strategies. This study highlights the strategic importance of balancing competition and collaboration among SMEs to strengthen industrial cluster performance. The results offer practical implications for managers seeking to optimize internal capabilities and cooperative strategies within constrained production environments, ultimately contributing to the sustainable development of SME-based industrial clusters.

Abstract

Live-streaming platforms increasingly rely on Pay-What-You-Want (PWYW) gifting, yet voluntary payments remain weakly coordinated when prices are not fixed. This study examines whether platform-displayed reference price signals increase PWYW gifting propensity and whether this effect depends on Subjective Norms. Drawing on a digital distribution-channel coordination perspective, the study treats reference prices as interface-based price signals and Subjective Norms as informal social governance. Using survey data from 200 Indonesian Gen Z TikTok Live users and Hayes’ PROCESS Model 1, the findings show that reference price signals do not directly increase gifting propensity. Instead, their effect becomes positive and significant only when Subjective Norms are high. The study demonstrates that price anchors in live-streaming platforms are not behaviorally sufficient on their own; they gain force when embedded in visible social expectations that coordinate discretionary contribution.

Abstract

This study examines the adoption of a halal lifestyle in cosmetic consumption among university students by identifying key determinants of their purchasing decisions. Utilizing an exploratory quantitative approach, data were collected from 278 students at Dharma Andalas University. The analytical framework employed factor analysis to condense behavioral dimensions, followed by logistic regression to evaluate their influence on purchase potential. The findings reveal four primary factors: Commitment to Halal Consumption, Preference for Sharia-Compliant Systems, Awareness of Halal Labeling, and Brand Trust. Notably, Commitment to Halal Consumption emerged as the most significant predictor of high purchasing propensity. These results imply that to capture the Generation Z segment, cosmetic manufacturers must move beyond surface-level labeling and reinforce the intrinsic value of halal integrity as a core brand proposition, catering to the ethical and religious expectations of academic demographics.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of servant leadership, innovative work behavior, and organizational justice on civil servant performance in the North Maluku Provincial Government, Indonesia. Using a quantitative design, data were collected from 315 respondents, with 303 valid responses analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings show that servant leadership has a significant negative effect on civil servant performance, while innovative work behavior has a significant positive effect. Organizational justice has no significant direct effect on performance and does not moderate the effects of servant leadership or innovative work behavior. These results indicate that leadership effectiveness is highly context-dependent within bureaucratic organizations, whereas innovative behavior plays a stronger role in improving employee performance. The study suggests that public institutions should foster innovative work environments and reconsider the application of servant leadership within rigid administrative structures. Future research should examine additional mechanisms and employ longitudinal designs.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance on financial performance and firm value among energy sector firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021–2024. Using purposive sampling, the study analyzes 264 firm-year observations from 66 companies. ESG functions as the independent variable, financial performance proxied by Return on Assets (ROA) serves as the mediating variable, and firm value proxied by Price to Book Value (PBV) represents the dependent variable. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS. The findings indicate that ESG has a negative and insignificant effect on financial performance but a positive and significant effect on firm value. Financial performance also significantly mediates the relationship between ESG and firm value in a negative direction, suggesting that market valuation responds more strongly to ESG legitimacy than to short-term profitability performance.
