Abstract

Students are difficult to capture and master the assigned material, this is because students rarely engage actively in learning. Aktivitas siswa dalam belajar kurang optimal karena sumber belajar yang digunakan umumnya terbatas pada guru dan buku teks, kurang melibatkan sumber belajar nyata di lapangan sehingga mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Students in learning activities less than optimal due to the use of learning resources are generally limited to teachers and textbooks, not involving real-life learning resources that affect student learning outcomes. Sebagai alternatif pemecahan masalah tersebut, digunakan metode kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium. As an alternative to solving the problem, use the method in the laboratory practical activities. Keunggulan metode ini adalah siswa mendapat kesempatan menguji dan melaksanakan pada keadaan nyata, yang diperoleh dari pembelajaran teori. The advantages of this method is that students have the opportunity to test and implement in a real situation, which is derived from learning theory. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar biologi. This study aims to improve biological activity and learning outcomes. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar biologi siswa. Based on the results of research can be summed up in a lab practicum activities can enhance biological activity and student learning outcomes. Saran peneliti agar mengimplementasikan metode ini dalam pembelajaran biologi. Advice of researchers to implement this method in the teaching of biology. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of biology through constructivistic learning towards the critical thinking ability. This research addresses the role of constructivistic learning (inquiry and cooperative learning strategy) as well as these interactions towards the increase of the critical thinking ability. Quasy experimental research of Pretest-postest nonequivalent control group design with factorial design 2x2x2 were implemented on X grade student of the state SMA in Metro City Lampung. The  research sample consists of 96 students. To examine hypothesis, it is used Ancova technique and continued by LSD test. There was a difference on the critical thinking ability  between students who learn by inquiry level 1 with student who learn by inquiry level 2. and there was not difference on the critical thinking ability  between students who learn by STAD cooperative  with student who learn by TPS. There is no effect of interaction between inquiry with cooperative towards the critical thinking ability. Kata kunci: konstuktivistik, kemampuan berpikir kritis

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was 1 ) to determine whether or not the effect of fermentation time variation of the protein produced on tape taro. 2 ) to determine variations in fermentation hours to obtain the highest protein content of the tape taro. The study design used was completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Parameters measured were crude protein content and organoleptic tape taro. The results showed that the fermentation time affect the protein content of the resulting tape taro, the highest protein content in treatment C (fermented 60 hours ) resulted in as much as 3.888 % protein. Based on the test results BNJ all treatments were significantly different with the exception of treatment B and D. Benefits in the manufacture of tape taro research are: the lecturer can be used as teaching materials practicum taro tape processing methods on the biology subject matter in the form of LKPS biotechnology, and science can contribute to the reader about alternative ways of processing of taro as a traditional food.

Abstract

The research was conducted on February 2, 2012 until April 30, 2012 at the Green House in University of Muhammadiyah Metro. The purposes of this study are (1) to determine the effect of induction of gibberellin on the growth and production of red pepper plants (Capsicum annum L). (2) To determine the induction of 200 ppm gibberellin can provide growth and production of red pepper (Capsicum annum L) is best. This study used statistical design of experiments using the Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) and the data analysis by using the path on ANAVA toward the production chilies with 3 treatments and 1 control. Each trial has treatments, as follow: without gibberellin induction as a control (H0), 150 ppm gibberellin induction (H1), induction of gibberellin is 200 ppm (H2), and induction of gibberellin is 250 ppm (H3). The population in this study is overall  of the 3 treatments and 1 control with 4 replications, and the total is 16 red pepper plant. The sample in this study is the whole of plants, the total is 12 samples of red pepper plant. Based on the research results can be concluded that;  (1) There is an induction effect of gibberellin on the growth and production of red pepper plants (2) Induction of gibberellin is 200 ppm delivers growth and crop production the best chili. For education research results can be used as a learning resource material of growth and developmental biology.  Kata Kunci:  induksi giberelin, pertumbuhan cabai merah, produksi cabai merah, sumber belajar biologi.

Abstract

Dengue fever is an infectious disease caused by a virus and is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Dengue fever has not yet found a cure and the only prevention is through mosquito vector  control. Health Department policy to prevent and eradicate dengue fever today is to make eradication by means of mechanical, physical, chemical or biological. Biological is one of alternative  control of mosquito vectors that are safe for humans and the environment but still effective in suppressing the mosquito vector. One attempt to do that is by using animals to fight other creatures, or better known as biological control. In the present research was performed using fish of Betta spp, Cyprinus carpio and Oreochormis niloticus as a natural predator of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The design of this research is  Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments are 3 types of fish with 5 times repeated. Data were analyzed with analysis of the range and tested further with the Smallest Real Differences Test (LSD) on the real level 5%. The result of this research is the ability Betta spp eating is higher than the Oreochromis niloticus and Cyprinus carpio by the number of larvae that consumed between 34.6 to 36.9 mosquito larvae tail. The ability to eat at various types of fish against mosquito larvae, influenced by several factors: the agressive, espesialisasi fish to food, the active duration and the amount of time the fish is active in 24 hours.

Abstract

Pigeon pea can be used as an alternative of soybeans that contain protein, fats, and carbohydrates. Objective: (1) determine the effect of various packaging on the quality of pigeon pea tempe, (2) the effect of long incubation on the quality of pigeon pea tempe, (3) the interaction of various packaging and long incubation on the quality of pigeon pea tempeh. (4) design the research results as a science learning resource for 9th grade junior high school on the topic of biotechnology. The research design used completely randomized design. Research conducted at the Laboratory of Food Products Technology in Polinela in May 11th until 25th, 2015. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16.0, the data proximate using Univariate and Tukey, the data organoleptic using Friedman test. From the results of the proximate analysis turns out there is influence between the packaging materials and the long incubation of the tempe quality. Protein content increased, while fat and carbohydrates decreases with increasing time of incubation. Organoleptic analysis of the soybean leaves are packed with incubation time 36 and 42 hours is preferred by the panelists than plastic packaging with an incubation time of 48 hours. Abstract

The purposes of this research are to increase students learning motivation and critical thinking skills of class X MIA 5 SMA Batik 1 Surakarta through the implementation mode of guided inquiry. This research is a Classroom Action Research with 2 cycles of action. Each cycle consisting of 4 phases which are planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Observational data obtained from the observation sheet, questionnaire, and test. Technical analysis of data is descriptive qualitative. Data validation is used triangulation method.  The result of this research shows that with the implementation model of guided inquiry learning could increase learning motivation and critical thinking skills in Biological learning. It’s based on the result of observation sheet, questionnaire, and test. Average percentage for each aspect of learning motivation pre-cycle are  45,4%, first cycle are 65,08% (increase 19,68%), and last cycle 75,17% (increase 10,09%), while percentage for each aspect of critical thinking skills pre-cycle are 34,17%, first cycle 51,10% (increase 16,93%), and last cycle are 61,73% (increase 10,63%). This it can be concluded that the implementation model of Guided Inquiry learning could increase learning motivation and critical thinking skills of students class X MIA 5 SMA Batik 1 Surakarta class year 2014/2015.Kata kunci: Inkuiri terbimbing, motivasi belajar, keterampilan berpikir kritis

Abstract

Everybody have a responsibility for their enviroment to kept clean. Human population as a important part of environment problems.  All activity that human do will produce the rubbish, and it makes big persentage to contribute to make enveroment will be dirty in this world.  Because everybody will produce about 1 Kg for day and, a half ton every years.  Bad management it makes negative effect for human healty.  And good management will be good solution for enveroment problems, as spacial rubbish.  Introducting rubbish management to children under five years its mean to solve a problems for logtherm.  Basicly kindergarthen cant read well.  So that, the way to introducting use a banner media. By this way, a little word an many picture will make they understand abbout the message for manage the rubbish.   When this way were appicated in five school, not only student was interset to this media (banner) but, a parents who attend their also enthusiast to following this activity.  Kata kunci:Pengenalan pengelolahan sampah, media banner.

Abstract

Way Kanan Resort is one part of the Way Kambas National Park with an area of ± 40,000 Ha. Way Kanan Resort often found growing makrofungi, but so far no data are reported on a wide macrofungi species and their habitats. The aim of this study was to determine the species and diversity macrofungi  in Way Kanan Resort, and to develop research as a learning resource in the form of LKPD (student sheet) High School Biology Basidiomycota fungus material.This study used purposive sampling method with squared technique. The study was conducted on 26 until January 29, 2015. Data collection macrofungi The Way Kanan Resort area with extensive observations of ± 4 Ha and carried out data collection on 4 squares sampling. As supporting data, performed also a measurement of environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity and pH in each squared. Collecting data about the feasibility of learning resources LKPD measured using a questionnaire expert testing of the presentation material and design LKPD.These results indicate there are 26 species in the macrofungi Way Kanan Resort Way Kambas National Park with the total number of individuals as much as 980 macrofungi. Macrofungi great diversity index using diversity index test ShannonWienner throughout squared observations is 1.345474 with diversity are criteria. Feasibility study source LKPD theoretically has a score of 3-5 on each statement in the questionnaire design and presentation of the material as well as the percentage LKPD vulnerable feasibility has a score of 70% -90% with an average percentage of 80% which indicates LKPD classified as strong criteria. Kata Kunci ; Makrofungi, Resort Way Kanan, student sheets (LKPD)

Abstract

Soybean  is a staple commodities agricultural in Indonesia, but the production of soybean in Indonesia is still low due to the attacks of disease caused by infection of CpMMV. This research was conducted to study anatomical characteristics of the 10 soybean  linesto CpMMV and two superior varieties.The research was conducted atJambegede Research Station, Indonesian Legume and Tuber Crops Research Institute, Malang andlaboratory of genetics, State University of Malang  to observe the anatomy of leaf include the length, width, and number of stomata and the length and number of trikoma.The test was analyzed using one-way ANOVA. Results of the analysis showed significance > α (0.05) on each character, this indicates there is no difference in the character of both stomata and trikoma on 10 soybeanslines to CpMMVand two varieties superior.Kata kunci: Anatomi, kedelai, CpMMV
