Abstract

Lacking of laboratory facilities, methods, and media which are not involving students, have made students’ knowledge far away from the real problems. We can solve it by doing the off class study so students can be active and solve their problems together. This research’s aims are to get the empirical images of study process quality increasing and study achievement increasing in Science by doing the off class study with together problem solving approximation. This research has been done at Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Metro in the first semester of study academic year 2006/2007. The subjects are the 3rd grade students. It has been done in two cycles with Mc Kernen method. The basic competence that has been researched is how to differ the health and unhealthy environments. Time schedule are 5X2X30 minutes for two cycles. The steps are planning, acting, monitoring, and reflecting. The results showed: a. The off class study has increased the positive activities of the students and decreased the negative ones; their motivation were growing as well as their learning qualities; and  b. There are increasing of Science results which are shown by the higher results of the students’ post tests that has been held between 1st and 2nd cycles. From this research, we can suggest that: a. To do the off class study needs analytical ability of outside potency as learning source with the concept that we want to reach; b. We need more time to select the environment, analyze its strengths and weaknesses, also anticipate the problems that that may occur; c. Teachers have to get close to their students so they can be more interactive in order to get higher cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran luar kelas, peningkatan motivasi, pemahaman konsep

Abstract

The aim of the research was to increasing of science learning echievement.  The research was to implemented by the Classroom Action Research (CAR) in SMPN 2 Pekalongan class VIII1 academic year 2011/2012. The result of this research was the application of the discussion and assignment method, students learning achievement increase from the cycle I to cycle II by 16,12%. Based on the research the researcher suggest that the scence teachers need to apply the discussion and assignment method to increase achievement of science. Kata kunci : Metode Diskusi dan Tugas, Hasil Belajar Siswa

Abstract

Students learning outcomes is a change of the students  based their esperienced, that is learning outcomes from learning process that the students doing while learning and appers from students showed by their score. This result got from students activity during learning process. The portofolio based learning demand students as self regulated learners and active in the learning process guided by teacher to gets learning purpose. The classroom action research was conducted in grade XG MAN 2 Metro academic year 2011/2012. The conclusion of this research was the portofolio based learning could increase the students’s achievement in  grade XG MAN 2 Metro year 2011/2012 from the cycle I to the cycle II by 50% and researcher sugests that the portofolio based learning be able used to the increases the students’s achievement of biology learning.  Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Berbasis Portofolio, Aktivitas Belajar, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

An action research, with the implementation of lesson study in numbered heads together method combined with team games tournament method for character development, the increasing of learning activity, motivation, and the students’ learning achievement in biology at SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen, is done with the purpose to develop the character of the students in learning biology. The implementation of Numbered Heads Together is combined with Team Games Tournament and it can develop students’ characters. The indicator of friendship has increased until 5.07% from cycle I to cycle II and has increased again in cycle III as much as 17.51%. The indicator of discipline has increased until 4.03% from cycle I to cycle II and has increased again in cycle III as much as 13.13%. The indicator of work hard has increased until 8.69% from cycle I to cycle II and has increased again in cycle III as much as 10.48%. The indicator of students’ independent has increased until 9.67% from cycle I to cycle II and has increased again in cycle III as much as 9.79%. Kata kunci: Lesson study, Numbered Heads Together, Team Games Tournament, Karakter Siswa

Abstract

Abstract: Science learning in senior high school was designed with the goal of achieving the competencies of graduates that includes aspects of attitudes, skills, and knowledge competency. Skill aspect refers to the Scientific Approach. Skills such as observing the process are observing, trying, processing, serving, and reasoning. All of these skills, leading to the aspects that exist within SPS. Learning needs analysis conducted by researchers at the SMA/ MA class XI IPA that is in the Purbolinggo district of East Lampung SPS shows a lack of provision in the learning process. Supposedly, learning based  on SPS is further enhanced, the researchers created a learning guide model based on SPS. The objectives of the reasearch: 1) produce a learning guide model based on SPS class XI, 2) improve outcomes (process) and output (learning cutcomes) biology learning class XI. Type of the research is Research and Development (R&D). The research was conducted in SMA N 1 Purbolinggo in class XI Science. Procedures R&D is adapted from Borg and Gall consisting of five steps: 1) literature review and the results of relevant research, 2) Design and carry out preliminary study, 3) the development/conceptualization models, 4) test the model through experimentation, 5) revision of the model. conclusion; 1) learning guide SPS models has been validated by the user and learning experts, instrument validation, model validation, and it is suitable.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Notoharjo Trimurjo Lampung Tengah at January 10 2012 until April 05 2012. The purpose from the research were 1) to know the effect distance of plants with tomato productions. 2) to know the effect of distance of plants that more exact with tomato production. The population of the research was 96 tomato plant with 4 do it and 3 crop. The total sample of plant was bruoght 32 of tomato plants. The research was conducted by using experimental design especially Completed Randomized Design (RAL), and the data analysis by using  ANOVA and BNJ test. In varians analys have the value from  do it 5,97 >= 2,95 to warel of real level 0,05. So that push  and received H1. And at BNJ test we can know average from other test A=1,5;B=1,37;C=1,75; and D=2. From this research we can know the congclution that (1) this have a influence of a plants with a tomato productions and (2) plant with using a plants distance 70 x 50 cm give a better influence with a plants tomato production. From the result the research can give an advantage to source of study biology at the growth and development material. Kata Kunci: jarak tanam, produksi tomat, sumber belajar biologi.

Abstract

The objective of the research are to increase the student activities and learning achievement of Biology. The research conducted in class  SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Metro Academic Year 2010/2011 by using Classroom Action Research. There are two cycle in the research with tree meeting every cycle. The result of the research show that interactive multimedia can increase the student activities and learning achievement of Biology. Score average before using  Classroom Action Research is 28,23% and increase to 59,77% in cycle II. The reseacher suggest that interactive multimedia can implement to increase the student activities and learning achievement of Biology. Implementing of interactive multimedia make the students interesting to the learning. Kata kunci: Multimedia Interaktif, Aktivitas Belajar, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

The results addressing the STAD method Torso with Media can improve biological activity and learning outcomes food Digestive System subject matter in class XI Science High School PGRI Bukitkemuning Academic Year 2012/2013. Student activity data on average in the first cycle by 63% in the second cycle obtained an average learning activity by 72% with an increase of 9% while for the learning outcomes of students has increased, the average initial score was 53.2 before PTK implemented , and at the end of the first cycle of 65.14, then on the second cycle of 72.28. To obtain an average yield improvement of student learning from cycle I to cycle II at 7.14%, even when compared with the prior PTK increased 35.86%. As for the suggestions to teachers fields of study, in order to study biological activities and results to achieve optimal results it is recommended to apply the methods of cooperative learning with media type STAD Torso by optimizing activities ask, discuss, do chores, and making observations. Key Words: STAD, learning activities, learning outcomes

Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the effect of  alone learning to the critical thinking skill and problem solving ability in SMA Teladan 1 Metro. This research applied quasy experimental with non-equvalent control group design. The population of this research is allow students of class X SMA Teladan 1 Metro on academic year 2009/2010. The samples of this research were class XA as experimental (alone learning) and class XB as control (conventional). The instrument of this research namely critical thinking and problem solving test. This research data are quantitative data consisted by score capacity critical thinking and problem solving ability to river ecosystem, collected on 15 january until 12 Juni 2010. Data were analysed by bilinear covariant statistical analysis (Ancova), continued with LSD test. The result of this research indicated that there were an effect of alone learning strategy toward the critical thinking skill and problem solving ability. Student with alone learning strategy having critical thinking higher 80,111% than conventional learning. Beside, student with alone learning strategy having 11,124% higher than convensional learning. Based on this research, the researcher suggest to the teacher that this strategy can implemented in biology learning. Kata Kunci: Belajar Mandiri, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Kemampuan Memecahkan Masalah.

Abstract

The biology learning emphasizes providing learning experiences directly, ideally be studied scientifically so that the students are directly involved in finding his own understanding. Lack of science process skills students low trigger. The purpose of this research is to improve science process skills and the results of biological studies using guided inquiry method with LKS in X.2 graders SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Metro, amounting to 22 students. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles each consisting of three sessions. Science process skills of students has increased from cycle I to cycle II of 11.1% for the skills of observation, 9% for classifying skills, communicating skills 9.1% to 13.2% for the skill and conclude. Data on students pre-PTK into the cycle I increased 13.61% and 18.2% in cycle II. From the results of these studies suggest that the teacher researchers to apply these methods in teaching science, especially biology. Kata Kunci: inkuiri terbimbing disertai LKS, keterampilan proses sains,  hasil belajar.
