Abstract

Coastal ecosystems on small islands have a large enough pressure to be inversely proportional to a large island due to various resource capabilities and limited supporting factors. Mangrove is one of the ecosystems on the coast of a small island that is susceptible to disturbance because it is close to human activities. This study aimed to determine the mangrove ecosystem management strategy on the coast of the Siak Regency. The research was conducted from July to August 2020 using survey and interview methods. Data analysis used the Analytical Hierarchy Process to determine the mangrove management strategy. The results showed that community involvement is a priority for managing sustainable mangrove ecosystems with the assistance of the Government and NGOs. Management priority factors, namely ecology, while still paying attention to economic, social, institutional, and technological concerns.

Abstract

Kebijakan Pemerintah untuk memeberdayakan nelayan adalah dengan membangun dan membina prasarana perikanan, salah satunya adalah Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI). Fungsi TPI sebagai stabilator harga ternyata tidak dirasakan oleh nelayan. Bagi nelayan, TPI tidak ubahnya hanya sebagai penimbang dan penarik retribusi. Secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis data atau informasi empiris tentang beberapa hal berikut : (1) Pemahaman pegawai TPI terhadap tupoksi sebagai pegawai TPI (2) Tugas dan fungsi yang sudah dilakukan oleh pegawai TPI (3) Efektivitas pegawai TPI dalam menunjang keberdayaan di TPI (4) Faktor pendukung dan penghambat pegawai TPI dalam melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya (5) Menyusun strategi peningkatan efektivitas pegawai TPI dalam menunjang keberdayaan pengelola TPI di lingkungan TPI Prigi. Pendekatan penelitian yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitaitif. Dalam penelitian ini difokuskan pada efektivitas pegawai TPI Prigi dalam menunjang keberdayaan di TPI. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisa data kualitataif model Miles dan Hubberman untuk menjawab tujuan ke tiga, aktivitas analisis data yaitu dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Kemudian untuk menjawab tujuan ke lima menggunakan analisa data SWOT untuk menyusun strategi efektifitas pegawai TPI Prigi. Tingkat efektivitas pegawai TPI Prigi termasuk belum efektif. Nelayan belum merasa puas dengan pelayanan yang diberikan oleh TPI, khususnya dalam hal kemanan.  Kata kunci: Efektivitas, Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI), Keberdayaan

Abstract

Farm Fish Booster Centre is one of the business actor in Indonesia whom focus on cultivation  and catfish manufacture that named as healthy catfish booster. The purpose of this study is to analyze the degree of satisfaction and consumer loyalty toward healthy catfish booster purchasing. Research method that used is descriptive with quantitative approach. The number of samples that usedare 100 respondents who determined by slovin formula. The method of collecting data by questionnaire, interview and documentation. Satisfaction variables indicators consist of the performance and interests: brand, price, taste, clean from foreign objects, ease of finding the products, packaging design, the availability of halal guarantee, the availability of the expired date, shelf life of the product and sale locations. Loyalty variables indicators consist of price, habit, satisfaction, likes and loyal to the brand. Methods of data analysis using descriptive analysis, importance performace analysis (IPA) and customer satisfaction index (CSI). The results of this study showed that customer satisfaction towards every attribute the highest one is attribute flavor (91,04%) while lowest attribute is the availability of expiration date (33.05%). Consumer overall stated are quite satisfied with the value of CSI (64.4%) towards healthy catfish booster. The degree of consumer loyalty are weak classified, 73% of consumers classified as a switcher buyer. Keywords: satisfaction, consumer, loyalty, lele boster

Abstract

This research discusses about the influence of endorser or brand ambassador in social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) toward consumer decisions making as a part of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) analyse with AISAS model (Attention, Interest, Search, Action and Share) as the impact of the endorser usage. This research was conducted quantitatively with examining the endorser independent variables in social media into AISAS model as its dependent variable. In this research explained that AISAS model is the development of AIDA model (Attention, Interest, Desire and Action) which has been widely used on advertising in social media and other media, then developed into AISAS model in appropriate with the internet era and the character of modern consumers who tend to searching before making a purchase for the product. From this research found that the endorser usage or brand ambassador on Fiesta Seafood product advertisement in social media has positive effect on attention, interest, search, action and share of consumer. By combining advertising activities in social media and other media, is expected can assist Fiesta Seafood become a leader market in Indonesia processed seafood products.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan : (1) Pengaturan hukum adat sasi, (2) Upaya masyarakat mempertahankan dan menaati hukum adat  sasi, (3)  Eksistensi hukum adat sasi dalam hukum  nasional. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Desa Haruku Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi kasus dengan cara pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling, yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 12 Agustus 2011sampai 27 September 2011. Data yang digunakan meliputi data primer dan data sekunder. Pengumpulan data  dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, studi pustaka, dan metode analisisisi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa: (1) Dalam sasiter dapat beberapa pengaturan hokum adat sasi mulai dari pengaturan pengelolaan, pemeliharaan, dan sampai pada waktu pemanenan. (2) Efektivitas masyarakat dalam menjaga hukum adat sangat kuat dari ribuan tahun lalu hingga tahun 2003 sampai 2007 terlihat masih terjaganya hukum adat dan tradisi sasi ikan lompa, akan tetapi tradisi hukum adat sasi sejak tahun 2008 hingga saat ini mulai mengalami penurunan hal ini dibuktikan dengan tidak terlihat lagi ikan lompa selama 4 tahun.  (3)  Eksistensi hukum adat sasi berisi peraturan-peraturan dan selalu mengikat masyarakatnya dalam menjaga lingkungan alam terutama laut sudah dilakukan sejak ribuan tahun lalu juga terdapat dalam hukum nasional Indonesia. Abstract

SALAM is not profit organization that active on community empowerment especially on the coastal community in the south of Malang district that was Kondang Merak. The strong and rational reason to be community agent in this location because Kondang Merak area has typical of the tropical ecosystem such as mangrove, seagrass and coral reef where these potential assets used unsustainable manner by the community. SALAM used ethnography method for developing the strategy to empowerment the community. This method is unique where an agent should follow the daily activity of community in long-term, seen and heard what the community said and asked and collected data with persuasive way. Through this method, SALAM has succeeded to change the mindset of actors in the community from destroyers to be the conservationist and nature-minded.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to identify characteristics of small fishermen household; model smallholder household economy based on production decisions, work-flow allocations, income, and consumption; simulate policy scenarios for increasing production and income of small fishermen household. The analytical method in this study uses the Two-stage Least Square (2SLS) method which is used to estimate the parameters of an equation with program SAS 9.1.3, while the simulation analysis is used to obtain policy alternatives that can increase the production and income of small fishermen. The result of the research average total production of beltfish is as much as 13,3 kg per month. The small fisherman households in the study area allocated the work time of their household members to the on-fishing activities at 36.4% and non-fishing at 63.6%. There is a relationship between production, work time, income, and consumption in the economic model of small fisherman households. The choice of policy to improve fishing technology can increase the production and income of small fishermen while the increase in fuel price will decrease the income of small fishermen households.

Abstract

 There  is a lots of competitions in the business of modern market and the success of Giant Mall Olympic Garden (MOG) to survive and thrive can not be separated from the strategy to market its products including the canned fish products. One of product marketing strategies is marketing mix used by the company as a mean of assessment to identify the consumer's decision  in order to purchase the canned fish products. This study aimed is to analyze the effect of the marketing mix simultaneously toward the decision to purchase the canned fish products at Giant (MOG) and to analyze the variables of  significant marketing mix as well as the variable of dominant in partial (respectively) on purchasing decisions to buy the canned fish products at Giant (MOG). The type of research is explanatory research. The sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling  with the incidental sampling method. Determination of the number of samples is using a linear time function, which obtained the number of sample 75. The data was collected by using questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis was performed by using multiple linear regression analysis. Data processing was performed by using IBM SPSS 21. The results showed that the marketing mix gives influences on purchasing decisions to buy the canned fish products at Giant MOG. The marketing mix consists of product, price, promotion, place, people, physical evidence, process, and honesty gave significant influential based on the value of R2 entirely in which able to explain the purchasing decision up to 84.2%, while the 15.8% is explained by other variables outside of the model studied. Variable price, honesty, product, and people those are the variables that significantly influence purchasing decisions, meanwhile the remaining variables promotion, place, physical evidence and process does not significantly on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Indragiri Hilir Regency has great potential in catch fisheries sector. However, many obstacles and challenges faced by local governments in the development of capture fisheries business, due to various factors. The objectives of this research are: 1) to identify the potential of capture fisheries, ie facilities and infrastructure, and the existing condition 2) to formulate the strategy of developing the capture fishery business. This research used qualitative and quantitative approach. The data collected includes primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques were condusted through in-depth interviews and FGDs with business actors, as well as stakeholders in Indragiri Hilir District equipped with observations and documentations. Data analysis used SWOT method by first analyzed the internal and external factors that produced 3 alternative strategies. These alternatives strategies then re-analyzed using the QSPM analysis unit to determined of priority strategies. The results of this research is the potential of capture fisheries in Indragiri Hilir Regency is very large, but there are still many obstacles due to facilities and infrastructure support is still minimal. Alternative strategies generated in this study are 1). utilization of fisheries and marine resources through improvement of facilities and infrastructure of environmentally friendly fishing units, 2). optimizing the role and function of TPI through PPI development, 3). increasing the role of “Pokmaswas” through the provision and utilization of monitoring facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of the waters, the causes of the decline in environmental quality and planning strategies in managing the environment in the fish fog center in Karangsari Village, Tuban Regency. This type of research is a sequential explanatory design. The data analysis used in this study is qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis which includes water quality analysis and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the water quality in Karangsari Village was classified as a moderate pollutant. The causes of changes in environmental quality at the fish fog center are caused by people's behavior in disposing of waste, public awareness to treat waste, lack of handling of fish fumes, community efforts to protect the environment, group awareness in managing smoked fish, community needs for IPAL and fish fumigation without using chemical material. The planning strategy in managing the fish fog center environment through the matrix of internal strategic factors (IFAS) and the external strategic factor matrix (EFAS) at the horizontal axis coordinates (X) is 1.54 and the vertical axis (Y) is 1.30. The calculation is in quadrant I and the strategy that can be applied is the SO strategy that supports aggressive growth policies.
