Abstract

Reclamation in Kamal Muara North Jakarta changes the surrounding fishery activities. It is estimated that there are changes in the ecological and economic conditions of fishermen. This study aims to analyze the ecological and economic changes that occur in Sero fishermen in Kamal Muara after the reclamation of artificial islands. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results showed that after reclamation, the fishing ground of Sero fishermen moved along the Dadap coast, Tangerang with a distance of less than one nautical mile from the coastline. In addition to fishing ground changes, the results of the paired sample t-test on the catches volume and profit of Sero fishermen showed significant changes after the reclamation of the artificial island. However, operational costs did not show any significant changes between before and after reclamation. This study concludes that there are changes in the ecological and economic conditions of Sero fishermen in Kamal Muara after the reclamation.

Abstract

Budidaya dapat menjadi penggerak utama pertumbuhan ekonomi di sektor perikanan di Indonesia saat kondisi perikanan laut mengalami overfishing. Hubungan antara nilai yang digunakan produksi perikanan (budidaya laut, budidaya tanggul, tambak, budidaya keramba, jaring apung budidaya dan budidaya padi) dan Domestik Bruto sektor perikanan Produk di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara parsial dan simultan dominan dari nilai produksi perikanan budidaya terhadap Perikanan Produk Domestik sektor perikanan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Badan Pusat Statistik Jakarta, Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan, Direktorat Jenderal Perikanan Budidaya dan Bank Sentral Indonesia Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dari tahun 2000-2010 dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai produksi perikanan budidaya secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi PDB sektor perikanan di Indonesia, nilai produksi perikanan sebagian mempengaruhi Produk Domestik Bruto sektor perikanan di Indonesia. Budidaya Laut memiliki efek paling dominan terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto dari sektor perikanan di Indonesia dan diikuti budidaya kolam dan budidaya tanggul. Adapun kolam budidaya memiliki nilai negatif. kesimpulan dan rekomendasi dari penelitian ini bahwa budidaya laut dapat menjadi penggerak utama pertumbuhan ekonomi perikanan di Indonesia, diikuti oleh tambak dan tambak, budidaya padi harus diadakan untuk studi lebih lanjut karena memiliki dampak negatif terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto dari sektor perikanan di Indonesia.     Kata kunci: budidaya, produk domestik bruto sektor perikanan, budidaya, tanggul budidaya, tambak, budidaya padi

Abstract

Coral reefs ecosystem of Bangsring provide both commercial and non-commercial goods and services. Local fishermen rely on reef fisheries while tourism activities have been growing in this area. Seeing that the economic benefits derived from coral reefs are vital to the economies of Bangsring communities, economic valuation of these benefits is necessary to guide sustainable and wise use of these resources and to provide useful information for improved decisions. The research was conducted between June 29and August 9 of 2015 aimed to estimate the total economic value (TEV) of coral reefs of Bangsring, Banyuwangi Regency, included passive use values and direct use values. The research was a participatory case study where primary and secondary data were collected using the purposive sampling technique. The study revealed that the estimated TEV of the coral reefs of Bangsring was IDR 41.6 billion per year or IDR 3.2 billion per hectare per year with tourism contributing 60 % or IDR 25 billion per year of the TEV. The healthy coral reefs of Bangsring support local communities and generate billions of rupiahs annually; therefore, it is critical to manage the coral reefs of Bangsring sustainably for current and future generations.

Abstract

One of the potential natural beauty which belong to Indonesia country is mangrove ecotourism. Located in Administration City of North Jakarta, its location in Kamal Muara village, a lush mangrove ecosystem with an area 99.82 ha. The purposes of this study are identifying the characteristics of visitors, examining the stages of the process in making decision of the visitors, analysing the responses of visitors toward the attributes, and analysing the satisfaction level of visitors toward the attributes were offered by Manager. The research method was quantitative by taking samples incidentally. The conclusions of this research are the characteristics of visitors based on gender, age, education, occupation, marital status, income per month, and domicile of the visitor; the process in making trip decision through the 5 stages; from the results of the IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) indicates the attributes that have good performance and are able to provide a satisfaction are the attributes in quadrants II and attributes that are judged as vital but the execution or performance of the attributes are still low for the consumers (lies in quadrant I), visitors in Taman Wisata Alam Angke Kapuk overall showed that the visitors satisfaction index toward the attributes were analyzed in the mount of 68.08%.

Abstract

BJBR is a famous mangrove tourism object in Probolinggo, it elevates the role of surrounding society and resources. However, it is needed to understand BJBR sustainability aspects and innovations needed to achieve sustainable tourism. This study aims to understand BJBR sustainability through 3 dimensions: ecology, social, and economic-based on RAPFISH-MDS analysis. Interviews and questionnaires were distributed to 47 respondents based on the PRA Approach and Snowball Sampling. The results show that the ecological dimension has the highest sustainability index is 78.81 (good/sustainable), followed by the economic dimension is 64.45 (quite sustainable), and the social dimension is 50.27 (quite sustainable). Sensitive attribute as a supportive indicator of sustainability in ecological dimension is the diversity of tree species outside the mangrove area to be a very (Leverage= 4.41), the economic dimension is a production of cultivated species on mangroves area (Leverage= 7.79), and social dimension is the practice of local culture within mangroves area (Leverage= 7.79). Strategies that can be applied to achieve BJBR tourism sustainability are to continue to carry out conservation that is packaged in responsible tourism, increasing economic growth by encouraging entrepreneurship, and forming networks between tourist sites and the surrounding area to encourage development.

Abstract

The company will do many activities to achieve the main objective of obtaining profits. The company's ability to earn profits is called profitability. In this study profitability accounted by Return on Assets (ROA). The study done on a fishing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The research objective was to determine the profile of the company, analyze the influence of Current Ratio (CR), Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Firm size (Size) simultaneously and partially on ROA, and analyze which dominant variables influence on ROA. Methods of data analysis was done by calculating CR, NPM, size and ROA, classic assumption test, multiple linear, adjusted R2 test and test hypotheses. PT. Chentral Proteinaprima fisheries aquaculture company in Indonesia with the highest firm size value, PT. Dharma Samudera Fishing Industries is a company of marine fisheries with the highest ROA value, PT. Inti Kapuas International is a company of Arowana fish breeding with the highest value of CR and NPM. CR, NPM, and size together affect the ROA. CR has negative effect on ROA. NPM has positive effect on the influence of ROA. While size does not affect on ROA. NPM is the dominant from the three factors. Companies should be able to increase net income and must be able to maintain the value of CR that is not too high. Keywords: ROA, CR, NPM, firm size, BEI

Abstract

Demand for marine tourism is high today causing maritime tourism offered by the Government and coastal communities to increase. Development and development of tourism conducted to meet the public demand for marine tourism is required for the management of the achievement of community welfare. The required management must be balanced between ecological function and economic function. The purpose of this study is to know and analyze the involvement of the community, partners, visitation, amount of income, and ecological tourism development of CMC Three Colors and Coast of Goa of China. The research method used is qualitative descriptive analysis with interview and observation research technique. The results show that the comparison of the management of the two coastal tours can be seen from the involvement of the community and partners on tourism, the number of visits and the amount of income, and the development of the ecological function of the two tours. CMC Tour Three Colors that have the concept of ecotourism get other benefits higher than the disadvantages of the management performed. Ecological functions and economic functions can be balanced. While the Coast of Goa of China with the concept of masstourism get other benefits less than the loss of management because of the management focused on economic function so that other benefits to the ecological function of degradation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the financial feasibility of tilapia fish farming business using the independent feed in the Tunas Mekar Jaya Group. Research location in Pamijahan Regency, Bogor Regency. Since receiving assistance, this group has produced tilapia consumption for five cycles, but the group has not recorded in detail the feasibility of the business being carried out. The method used in this research is descriptive method and method of determining respondents is the census. Data analysis methods are investment capital analysis, total production costs, total income, revenue cost ratio, profit analysis, economic profitability, net present value, internal rate of return, and payback period. From the results of data analysis, tilapia fish farming business using independent feed has an investment capital of Rp 3,596,405,000 with a total operating income of Rp 940,000,000/year, RCR 1.6 with a profit of Rp 368,587,000/year, economic profitability of 64%. NPV of Rp 33,310,800, IRR 33.31% and the rate of return on business capital in the fairly fast category, as shown by the payback period analysis for 0.12 years. The results of the financial feasibility analysis show that the tilapia fish farming program in the Independent Fish Feed Movement in the Tunas Mekar Jaya group is said to be feasible to be developed.

Abstract

Ngerong Cave is a cave with a length of 1.8 km is located in the center of Rengel District. This cave is a unique cave because of it flowing river inhabited millions of Bader Bang Fish (Punctius javanicus) from small to more than 70 cm long, hundreds of big fish arengan (Morelius/Labeo chrysophekadion), dozens of bulus/labi- labi with a diameter of more than one meter, and millions of bats that live on the roof of the cave. The preservation of these animals (especially aquatic animals) is inseparable from the myths that circulate in the community about the sacred nature of the place and its animals. The main myths in circulation are: whoever eats or brings home fish from the river in Ngerong Cave will be infected with a disease that never healed even will cause a mysterious death. This is a continuation of the myth that the invisible creature wich live in Ngerong Cave will not be willing if their pets are harassed by humans and will pursue the man by asking for his life. Because of the myth, the preservation of river animals in Ngerong Cave can be maintained and protected from human disturbance. Research on the benefits of myths in preserving aquatic animals in Ngerong Cave has a goal to explain to the scientific world that the myth (as one study of cultural anthropology) has a very big role in maintaining environmental sustainability. In general, the methodology of this study used a mixing method in the form of qualitative methods with data analyzed from literature studies and field studies, methods adapted to the focus of the problems studied. In this study, the results obtained depict in depth cultural events in the study area.

Abstract

Tilapia seeds is a fovorite of market commodities among fish farmers who are still not fully cultivated by fish farmers in Wlingi, Blitar Regency due to the limitations of market information. Based on this phenomenon, some farmers tried to establish a partnership system with the Breeding Fish Centre (BBI) Klemunan. The study purposed to analysis of the partnership pattern that occurs between tilapia seed farmers and BBI on effort to hatch and market tilapia fish using case studies qualitative approach. The results of the study show that based on the pattern and mechanism of cooperation carried out by both parties, it can be identified that the partnership pattern exists is a type of Firm-particular partnership. In Firm-particular partnership, BBI acts as a core partner have on obliged to provide technical assistance, while seed farmers act as plasma who are obliged present provide seed harvest to BBI for marketing. Relationship between the Firm-particular partnership is considered as a win-win solution that is beneficial positive impact for seed farmers to the procurement of superior fish, guaranteed to seed marketing, and obtaining knowledge of aquaculture technical. While for BBI Klemunan, this agreement might strengthen of brand image for the service assestment by costumer’s society.
