Abstract

This study aims to determine; (1) large simultaneous influence of motivation on employee performance Personnel Board and Regional Training North Mamuju regency; (2) the influence of motivation partially on employee performance Personnel Board and Regional Training North Mamuju regency. The theory of motivation used in this study using the theory of Maslow (1908-1970), namely "Hirarchy of Needs" or often referred to as a variable needs theory X and theory Moh performance. As'ad as a variable Y. This type of research is quantitative. This study population employee Personnel Board and Regional Training North Mamuju regency totaling 46 people who were taken using census techniques so that the total sample of 46 respondents. Data collection techniques including observation, questionnaire, and documentation, while data analysis techniques using simple linear regression. The results showed; (1) the magnitude of the simultaneous influence of motivation on employee performance Personnel Board and Regional Training North Mamuju regency is determined by physiological needs, security needs, social needs, esteem needs and self-actualization needs, with the influence of 63.6% and a strong relationship ; (2) the influence of motivation partially on employee performance Personnel Board and Regional Training Regency of North Mamuju determined by the influence of physiological needs for performance, the effect of the security needs of the performance, the influence of social needs on performance, influence the need rewards to performance, and the effect of actualization needs diriterhadap performance.

Abstract

The objective of this research are (1) know and analyze simultaneous effect of service quality, sales force competency, and firms image on repurchase decision Service at PT. Mandala Multifinance Palu Branch, (2) know and analyze partially effects of service quality, sales force competency, and firms image on repurchase decision Service at PT. Mandala Multifinance Palu Branch. There are 98 respondents in this study that have been determined as the sample. Analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression. The results show that: (1) service quality, sales force competency, and firms image performs simultaneously effect on repurchase decision Service at PT. Mandala Multifinance Palu Branch, (2) servive quality performs positive but not significant effect on repurchase decision Service at PT. Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the discipline of the students of SMPN 9 Palu and SMP Al-AzharPalu, the role of Pancasila and Civic Education teachers in building the students’ discipline, and the students’ response toward the roles of the teachers in building discipline. The subjects of this research were students, Pancasila and Civic Education teachers and principal. In order to obtain deeper information, the sampling technique employed in this research was purposive sampling technique, which was done by determining the informants deliberately based on certain criteria or considerations. The data collection techniques used by the researcher were: observation, interview and questionnaire. The questionnaire data were analyzed using frequency table and percentage. Meanwhile, the interview and observation data were analyzed using qualitative approach through three stages, namely: Data Reduction, Data Presentation and Data Verification. The results of this research show that the discipline of the students of SMPN 9 Palu was categorized into good and the discipline of the students of SMP Al-AzharPalu was categorized into very good. The Pancasila and Civic Education teachers played their roles in building discipline through Pancasila and Civic Education learning strategies, Pancasila and Civic Education learning materials, Pancasila and Civic Education teachers’ example and school rules. The response of the students of SMPN 9 Palu toward the discipline building was categorized into strong, while the response of the students of SMP Al-AzharPalu was categorized into very strong. It can be concluded that students’ discipline should receive attention, either by school or parents, and thus requires cooperation between both parties. In addition, it is expected that teachers have not only the ability of transferring materials but also the creativity in managing learning process in the classroom and strict attitude as well as appropriate attitude as example.

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the development in central Besusu village, East Palu sub-district, Palu. Effectiveness is an activity to achieve the goal by using available  infrastructure and resources. Referrred to Rhicard M. Steers, to measure the effectiveness of development activities in the Village Council Central Besusu consists of three (3) aspects, including, Goals; Integration; and Adaptation. The research  used a qualitative method of data analysis was the qualitative analysis model. There were 7 informants selected by technique  purposive sampling. The results of the research indicated that the effectiveness of musrenbang implementation in central Besusu Village, quite effective. However, the achievement of the objective aspect, there were some suggestions less accommodated, in the process of musrenbang implementation can be stated that it was worst towards the musrenbang goal itself. While the two (2) other aspects that intergation and adaptation, has been running well based on the list of priority program activities of Development Planning Meeting in the Village Central Besusu in 2014.

Abstract

The aims of the study are: 1) to determine and analyze simultaneous influence and partial of motivation, work satisfaction, and HR development on officials’ performance The Agency of Financial Administration and Local Asset of Tojo Una-Una. Type of research is descriptive causal with multiple linear regressions analysis and census sampling technique. Demographic respondents show that 56.8% of 44 officials in this agency is women, 50% of them aged between 20-30, 63.6% hold bachelor degree, and the maximum length of work between 1-5 years. Variable with highest mean of 4.41 is X3 (HR development), while mean of performance is 4.50. The result of multiple linear regressions analysis finds that Fvalue of 7.428 with sig. value of 0.000 on confidence level (α = 0,05). This means that motivation, work satisfaction, and HR development simultaneously have positively and significantly on officials’ performance in The Agency of Financial Administration and Local Asset of Tojo Una-Una. Partially, motivation and work satisfaction have postive and significant influence, while HR development has insignificant influence on officials’ performance in The Agency of Financial Administration and Local Asset of Tojo Una-Una.

Abstract

This research intends to: 1) explore and analyze simultaneous effects of Individual characteristics, organizational characteristics, and work environment on officials performance in BKKBN office of Central Sulawesi; 2) explore and analyze the effects of individual characteristics on officials performance in BKKBN office of Central Sulawesi; 3) explore and analyze the effects of organizational characteristics on officials performance in BKKBN office of Central Sulawesi; 4) explore and analyze the effects of environment on officials performance in BKKBN office of Central Sulawesi. Based census-sampling technique, 78 people in the population selected as respondents. Based on multiple linear regression test, it is concluded that: 1) individual characteristics, organizational characteristics, and work environment simultaneously have positive and significant effects on the performance of officials in BKKBN office of Central Sulawesi; 2) individual characteristics partially have positive and significant effects on the performance of officials in BKKBN office of Central Sulawesi; 3) organizational characteristics have positive and significant effects on the performance of officials in BKKBN office of Central Sulawesi; 4) work environment has positive and significant effects on the performance of officials in BKKBN office of Central Sulawesi

Abstract

The study aims to determine and analyze: 1) the cause of building permit retributions is not optimal in Palu City; 2) efforts taken in increasing building permit retributions; 3) contribution of building permit retributions to local retribution and local revenue in Palu City. The study applies qualitative approach with single holistic case study focusing on building permit retributions. The results find that: 1) the acceptance of building permit retributions is not optimal due to the lack of optimal supervision and control of buildings, manual data processing system, unsuitable human resources, and lack of awareness of the importance of having building permit; 2) efforts undertaken by the government of Palu to increase the acceptance of building permit retributions are done by reducing, facilitating, and relief obligation of building retributions known as ‘pemutihan IMB’, and socialization both direcly and through the mass media; 3) the contribution of building permit retribution to the local retribution averagely is in good criteria. While the contribution given by building permit to the local revenues is very low.

Abstract

The objectiveof this research is to determine and analyze the development of local revenues, specific allocation funds, and capital expenditures and the effect of of local revenues and specific allocation funds on capital expenditures both simultaneously and partially. The sample in this research consists of 11 regencies/cities in Central Sulawesi and sample tehnique is purposive sampling. Method of data analysis is trend analysis and multiple linear regressions. The results shows that in average, the growth of local revenues tends to increase within 3 budget years, while the average growth of specific allocation funds tends to decrease. The average growth of capital expenditure tends to decrease in accordance to the average growth of specific allocation funds. Simultaneous test indicates that local revenues and specific allocation funds affect the capital expenditure positively and significantly. Partial test shows that local revenues and specific allocation funds affect capital expenditure positively and significantly. Determinant coefficient demostrates the R-square value of 0,667 that shows that 66,70% of capital expenditure affected by local revenues and specific allocation funds; the remaining of 33,30% affected by other variables that are not studied.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: 1) to determine and analyze the influence of compensation, work experience, and organizational commitment on civil servants performance in the Department of Public Works Morowali Regency; 2) to determine and analyze the influence of compensation on civil servants performance; 3) to determine and analyze the influence of work experience on civil servants performance; 4) to determine and analyze the influence of organizational commitment on civil servants performance. The type of this research is descriptive causal and it involves 56 respondents who are selected by census method. Based on the tests result, it is found that: 1) compensation, work experience, and organizational commitment simultaneously influence the performance of civil servants in The Department of Public Works positively and significantly; 2) compensation positively and significantly influence civil servants performance; 3) work experience positively and significantly influence civil servants performance; 4) organizational commitment positively and significantly influence civil servants performance.

Abstract

The intention of this research are: 1)  to test and analyze the simultaneous influence of competency, discipline, and motivation on employees’ performance in The Agency of Palanning, Research, and regional development, Morowali regency; 2) to test and analyze significant influence of competency on civil servants’ performance; 3) to test and analyze significant influence of discipline on civil servants’ performance; 4) to test and anlyze significant influence of motivation on civil servants’ performance. Population in this research consists of 42 civil servants in the The Agency planning,  Research, and Regional Development (BAPPEDA), Morowali Regency, who are selected by census method. Multiple linear regressions test shos that: 1) competency, discipline, and motivation simultaneously have influence on employees’ performance in The Agency of Planning, Research, and Regional development, Morowali Regency; 2) competency, discipline, and motivarion partially have influence on employees’ performance in The Agency of Planning, Research, and Regional Development Morowali Regency. Determinant coefficient value of adjusted R² obtained is 0,756; it means that 75,6% of variable performance is influenced by competency, discipline, and motivation and the remaining of 24,4% influenced by other independent variables that are not studied.
