Abstract

In 2011 around 31.05 million of Indonesian children dropped out from the school and most of them were living in small and isolated island. Pahawang island located in Pesawaran District is one of islands in Lampung province that has a low level of education. Therefore we’ve initiative to built a reading house Rubah (Rumah Baca Harapan). The aims of this program were to collect both new and old books, create foster-sister program, youth and student empowerment, and create an ideal learning and education model in island. This program may able to be a model of non-formal education around islands of Indonesian archipelago.

Abstract

Most of people who live in coastal areas work as fisher who depend on their embankment, have started unproductive. Wonorejo Urban Village is an area in Surabaya East Coastal region which has the concept of ecotourism mangrove forest. Problems arise when the existence of people who manage this mangrove forest system misunderstood about the concept of ecotourism. Mangrove Leaves Craft programs answer the problems that exist in the Wonorejo Village, that educate the creativity of those community utilize mangrove leaves waste into economically valuable craft and thus become one of the ecological alternative livelihoods onWonorejo Village in Surabaya.

Abstract

Population growth, changes inconsumption patterns and life style of the people have increased the amount of waste,type, waste characteristics and diversityas well as contributinggreatly to the quantity and quality of waste generated. According to the fact, it’s needed waste processing technique well, to give a good environtment. By Student Creativity Program that focusses in Society Service Program, it’s offered waste processing technique in Podosugih, Pekaolongan City, to help people in waste reduction especially organic waste, so they can minimaze the waste and maximase in recycling, by using simple composer. The methods of program are lecture, discussion, demonstrate, and assistance method. The achievement reached of program are people become more creative, and know how to recycle the waste using a simple composter independently. So, the environtment can be clean and healhty. Beside, they can produce organic liquid fertilizer product.

Abstract

To realize available workers with high quality and high competitiveness, health development should be directed to consciousness increasing, desire and ability to live healthy for everybody so that the society’s high health can be realized. The degree of health, education, and economy are the main pillar which have a strong connection with the imrpovement of available workers’ quality, therefore, it is expected that the available workers can be persistent, productive, and able to compete to face all challenge that may be found (Healthy Minister, 2010). For that case, we, as the young generation who are really expected in giving real contribution for realizing a brighter future for Indonesia, should participate in taking concrete actions in developing the concept of “Dusun Siaga Kesehatan”as an effort to develop society life which has high conciousness in healthy life based on cooperation principle and social movement. The aims of this report composing are to know the concept of “Dusun Siaga Kesehatan”as an effort of national healthy development based on society’s healthy and to know the development of “Dusun Siaga Kesehatan”as an effort of national healthy development based on society’s healthy. The typical character of “Dusun Siaga Kesehatan” is appearance of some activities related to readiness of the village to anticipate and to handle the health in the village. The appearance of the good character in the society is because they make it as a habit in their life. “Dusun Siaga Kesehatan” gives a concept of society life which respects deeply the essence of mutual assistance and caring to create a healthy society environment. “Dusun Siaga Kesehatan” involves the whole counrtyside society in the program accomplishing to motivate the social movement in the effort of natioanl health based on society’s health. The development of “Dusun Siaga Kesehatan” needs some methods which are integrated and continued. One of them is by using managerial principle, those are planning, acting, evaluating, and controlling. The managerial principle is expected to motivate the social movement in the effort of national health development based on society’s health.

Abstract

Potential of marine fisheries in our country is very big, one of them in Indramayu. However, the people who tend to still use the traditional way of making or repairing boats resulted in utilization is not optimal. Karangsong fundamental problem is the inability of traditional fishing boats as a means of providing the arrest. An alternative form of boat made of fiberglass are very worthy to be a technological solution. Fiberglass technology has long been known, but its use by fishermen in the village of Indramayu especially Karangsong not optimal. Therefore, the need for training on the application of fiberglass technology. The program is expected to make the fishing communities get added value and simplify the process of making a boat that is necessary to improve the productivity of the fishermen. The method is performed in the implementation of this program for surveying, socialization programs to the community in the village Karangsong, preparation tools and place, giving General knowledge of fiberglass materials, training design boat design, the development of the use of resin, boat making, evaluation and monitoring. Result of this activity is increased knowledge about fiberglass fishing communities around and start applying fiberglass technology for repair and manufacture of traditional boats.

Abstract

Sekura is one of many regions in West Kalimantan that almost of the local society work as a farmer. Palm fruit is one of the amounts farming commodity. The advantages of palm fruit that do not known yet by local society in Sekura, keep many specialty hidden in the palm fruit’s skin. Palm fruit’s skins can use as briket charcoal. Briket charcoal is one variant of charcoals that have been processed as a practical product and economist, and use to alternative energy. Basic training of processing making briket charcoal from skin of palm fruit have been have a permission steps, also the materials and tools. By this training or socialization process the society have been get new knowledge about advantages of region’s potential, and how to reduce the rubbish heap. So, in the future they can improve the prosperous and the economic society.

Abstract

The numeric skills of the children in RW 08, Jogoyudan, Kali Code, Yogyakarta and their parent’s motivation to accompany their children to study were far from our hope. These problems encouraged us to conduct a program entitled “Peningkatan Kemampuan Belajar Hitung pada Anak melalui Ragam Permainan Kreatif”. This program was aimed to increase the children’s numeric skills and to help their parents to motiavte their children to study. The method was learning through creative games, which consisted of traditional games and games created by us. The result showed that the children’s numeric skills and the support of their parents increased.

Abstract

One of the famous town with a batik in Pekalongan is a sub-district of Buaran because almost every village and neighborhood have a business batik work. The tailors of the mothers, young people who did not continue his studies. Much of the rest of the batik cloth dumped and burned. Batik patchwork making alternatives more useful is to make such as batik patchwork accessories. Accessories are still warm with the communities is the veil, accessories namely “bros”. In addition to having a high value, batik scarf brooch from has not been seen in public, especially that resulting from a patchwork of batik. So it can be made into one of the variants of products batik that are of interest to the community.

Abstract

Orphanages as institutions which accommodate, nurture, and educate orphans and underprivileged, majority are unable to survive long due to lack of public support. The lack of such assistance due to lack of publication of the existence of an orphanage to the general public and donors. To solve this problem, we did community service to orphanages in order to publicize its existence to the general public and donors with the title: Smart Pawon: “Smart Orphanage Web On Network as the Applied Technology for Developing Orphanage in Malang". The objective of this community service is to publicize the existence of the orphanage to the public and donors that will be easier for them to locate and provide assistance to orphanages. With the help of the community and donors, the orphanage is expected to be able to survive and rapidly evolving. This community service has been carried out for 4 months from preparation, data collection, purchase a domain and website creation, website management training and publications websites existence. Equipment used include computers, the Internet, and the supporting equipment such as tables, and electrical current. Community service that has been done has realized the target outcome is the creation of a website holding orphanages www.pawon.net site map with the address, and the creation of a website that is a partner orphanage orphanage website Nurul Abyadh www.nurulabyadh.com, Sunan Ampel orphanage website www.pa-sunanampel.com, website – Taqwa-Alqolbi orphanage www.taqwa-alqolbi.com. As a result, the community service has been declared a success because there has been a significant increase in the number of donations to the orphanage partners.

Abstract

Wagadhewe (Wayang Gawean Dhewe) comes as a new breakthrough socialization as well as character development of students who will be directly applied in society. Expected outcomes of this program is a child care Bengawan Solo river bank for the betterment of the moral and spiritual qualities, the founding PABLO (Paguyuban Anak Bengawan Solo) is an interactive, productive, conducive, applicative.. The method used to conduct training with thirty four observation times and one time gig, plus two times the training of marriage conductivity, formed a partnership with local RT, ketua RW as coordinator of entrepreneurship and a team of expert consultants, Rumah Hebat Indonesia.The Results is the creation Wagadhewe with more than 45 types, workshop passes are able to express themselves, character creation stories are inspiring and sometimes unthinkable by adults.
