Abstract

Apropriate education is right for every single children who lives in Indonesia. It also happen for 22th student of SDN Gebang II Sidoarjo. Even SDN Gebang II Sidoarjo are located between 2 big city at East Java, Surabaya and Sidoarjo, school where located at remote village that known with Pucu’an, has not get electricity yet from PLN. Not appropriate access road made transportation vehicle cannot going pass through when rain is fall. This condition make SDN Gebang II facilities lack of facillities and then at 2011, Badan Akreditasi National gave them “C” score for its acreditation. Lack of facility also afeccted to level of study at student, mostly they will left the school time behind for helping their parents harvesting of fish for five thousand rupiahs. Education is no longer important and interesting for the student of SDN Gebang II Sidoarjo. So through Public Service Student Creativity 2012, program to increase the spirit of learning from the students of SDN Gebang II Sidoarjo through variation type of learning media such as wall magazine, extracurricular, and multifunctional reading garden was runned.. Fruit syrup Apple Mangrove, piggy banks, pencil case, cultural keep environmental clean, organic and inorganic garbage sorting, garbage processing, confidence, creativity, innovation, originality, responsible attitude, dare to dream, as well as the spirit of learning and work to be the outcome of this program. The Program involves many volunteers end up good friends from college students to the public is expected to have sustainability and can be applied in remote areas more in support of the program equalization of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Crisis of leadership is a serious problem that is faced by Indonesia today including by students. The Indonesian’s students have no ability to lead on themselves, the first step in rising leadership qualities. There are a lot of students, who are engaged in a gang fight, have low empathy and low respectful to others. “Smart Character” is a program which is concern about leadership and is applied as an effort to solve crisis of leadership by rising leadership qualities toward students. Methods that are used in applying “Smart Character” are: observation, consultation, socialization, weekly intensive character building, evaluation, and continuing the program. The output of the program is the rising of students’ leadership qualities.

Abstract

So far, we know the different types of milk usually consumed some of them milk cows, goats and horses. But most of us only consume cows milk because it tastes sweet and a good source of vitamins and minerals contained in it are very high. But cows milk that we consume every day that even though there are other content contained therein, but not much more with other milk that goats milk has more health benefits compared to cows milk can help prevent anemia (iron deficiency) and prevent removal of minerals on softening of bone or bone (demineralization) osteoporosis. In this regard, efforts to provide information and the application of technology acquired in the lecture bench with goat milk processing technology implementation. This extension activities carried out in the village of Gunung Batin Udik Terusan Nunyai District, Central Lampung Lampung Province. Farmers especially inner village Gunung Batin Udik Terusan Nunyai District Central Lampung not know how goat milk processing that adds value to the nutrition and income of farmers in the village of Gunung Batin Udik Terusan Nunyai District in particular and in general. Implementation of the activities carried out by way of: delivery of material on the use of goats milk, how and materials to be used in the processing of goat milk, practicing how to manufacture dairy goats with a pasteurized goats milk, goats milk yogurt, and provide time for discussion and consultation with farmers.

Abstract

Crazy village is one of regions take place in Ponorogo. In which, there are many crazy citizenries there. The disease of crazy will give bad impact to the children’s education. The purpose of this program is to improve children’s interest and achievement in crazy village by giving study guidance and counseling. The methodes of doing this program are done by giving study mentoring and counseling. The results of this program are that Happy House give positive impact to the children’s interest and achievement. By giving counseling program, it makes the student’s character be better, make them more confident and improve the student’s social interaction besides counseling program can motivate the students to reach their biggest wish and prepare their future life.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich islands cultural diversity. This leads to a lot of other nations came to Indonesia to enjoy the beauty of Indonesian culture and learning. But the Indonesian people themselves are less familiar with their own culture so much territory and national culture in claims by other nations. Therefore we aim to provide knowledge about the area and culture through the medium of JAVA IN PUMA (POP UP MAP) with a fun simulation method to produce a generation that knows the area and understands his homeland in the uniqueness of its culture.

Abstract

Language is a cultural component that must be nurtured, maintained and dilestaikan by all people, because language is a communication tool to interact with each other. By implementing research in the District SDN 20 Dungingi Gorontalo City, where 80 % of students have not mastered the local language Gorontalo. In fact, Gorontalo language is the identity of an area that is able to distinguish between one tribe to another tribe. Gorontalo language waning, due to the sophistication of the technology, the progress of science and technology and the lack of awareness of the public, especially the students to use the local language. Making KAMSEUPAI (pocket dictionaries as an innovative learning media) Gorontalo is a language -based solution that is appropriate for elementary school students. Because illustrated pocket dictionary is structured in such a way creative and innovative to attract the readers interest in learning the language of Gorontalo. Moreover, packed with a variety of images and animations that interest children and practical and flexible to carry everywhere. The method does is disseminate to school about the importance of using local languages . Next is the executor of designing dictionaries, edit and distribute them to students at SDN 20, then continued with the Teaching and Learning activities use Kamseupai Gorontalo language and culture. Making this kamseupai as local media innovation language learning for children and as an attempt to reexistence the usage of Gorontalo language which are fading in the community.

Abstract

Utilization of plants as botanical pesticides for the general public based on a health factor of the residues generated in the synthetic pesticides, but in reality many habits in the use of synthetic pesticides in the farm community is relatively difficult to remove. It was recognized in general pesticides are hazardous materials that may have negative effects on human health and environmental sustainability. Attention to the problem and its negative impact, then the control by using plant-based pesticides can be managed well at least as well as the active participation of the community. Some plant species have been reported to be pestisidal can be developed as a decoy fruit flies because they contain eugenol compounds to control fruit flies. Herb clove oil, basil plant extracts, and herbs viteks. eugenol -containing compounds have been reported and are often found growing in the highlands city of Palu can be used by the public. The purpose of this program is to train farmers PKMM make Natural attractant plants simply as a decoy fruit flies in an effort to improve the quantity and quality of chilli crop production in order to increase the income of farmers. PKMM implementation lasted for 4 months ie in April 2013 to July 2013. The method used is the method of education and training and demonstration plots conducted experiments with participatory approaches / PRA ( Participatory Rural Approach ) which target groups are actively involved from the beginning to the end of the program, including evaluation. Extension activities carried out in an effort to improve the knowledge, training and demonstration plots are being conducted in an effort to accelerate the process of technology transfer to the public. The results achieved are the target communities have learned the technique of making potions clove oil, basil plant extracts, and herbs viteks.secara simple as a decoy sehigga fruit flies can be developed into one of the small and medium enterprises ( SMEs ) in the target area in the form of program -making materials PKMM Decoy fruit flies with a cheaper price so that it can be reached by farmers.

Abstract

Sendang is a village that located on the western part of Pacitan Regency. Majority of its society work as a farmer who able to produce papaya in big amaunt. But, the existence of those papayas are not followed by maximal utilization. So, team of PKM-M has done the innovation to make instant drink powder from extract of papaya leave. The purposes of that event, such as to maximize utilization of papaya, to drilled and accompany the society to make healthy drink, build the central of Natural Drink “Carica papaya Linnaeus” and to decrease the economic difficulty of Sendang society. The conclusion, such as: the prosperity of Sendang society is increased in economy, skill, and health side; maximize utilization of papaya leaves; and create the new open jobs.

Abstract

Sensitizing communities against street children is lacking. Though the community of street children is a component that has the same right to get all the attention and guidance. This training aims to appreciate batik to street children as a form of devotion to the community. Batik training is done with a social approach that begins with the observation that the place has a lot of street children. Alternative non-formal education suitable to be developed on street children as batik and control emotions is one of the nations preservation of culture. Results are achieved such products handkerchief, Splash batik, batik shoes, shirts / batik shirt, batik cloth, batik brands.

Abstract

One important element of health is a matter of nutrition, malnutrition among children under five can cause negative effects such as brain shrink, prone to disease, weight and height are not in accordance with the age and can lead to death of the child. Children suffering from PEM especially at the level of malnutrition severe constraints in physical growth and mental development, resistance to disease decreases thereby increasing morbidity and risk of death is high. Relative risk of mortality for patient with severe PEM 8,4 times, medium PEM 4,6 times and light PEM 2,4 times lighter than good nutrition. Methods in the delivery of information in the form of counseling with the help of instruments in the form of leaflets, booklets, CD audiovisual and cooking demonstration MP-ASI, so that we convey the information accurately and easily accepted in the general public. Related malnutrition and PEM (protein energy malnutrition) in the Bulak Banteng, Kenjeran, Surabaya. Can be overcome by providing health education related parenting, providing adequate nutrition and is a very effective way. The level of knowledge of mothers in the community, especially with children PEM is was very instrumental in the growth and development of children with socialization health help reduce the incidence of malnutrition in East Java.
