Abstract

Islamic basic education is a formal initial education program for all Indonesian citizens, every Indonesian citizen is required to have education for nine years. It can be said that the first nine years of schooling of children are referred to as the initial level of basic education. Basic education is not only Elementary School / Madrasah Ibtida'iyah but junior high school / Madrasah Tsanawiyah is also included in the category of basic education, basic education has two types, namely public and private Islamic primary education. During this time educational development has experienced a very acute disorientation in quality and excellence to prepare graduates who are able to manage the knowledge they have acquired. There are many problems that occur in basic Islamic education in Indonesia, ranging from teaching staff, human resources, capacity, facilities and infrastructure, low quality education quality and discriminatory funding problems seen from the provision of unequal funding. Thematic is a government business or program that can reflect the problems of basic Islamic education with the main subject of MI, with thematic learning problems in basic education can be minimized through learning activities that are linked to the daily activities of students. The method used in this research is literature study, in the form of research whose objects are literature works, namely scientific journals, books, articles in the mass media, and statistical data.

Abstract

This article discusses the attitude of the santri in Dayah Babussalam Matangkuli, North Aceh. This attitude which is the result of the kitab kuning-based Islamic education process they received, both are lifestyle in the form of views and daily life routines that are lived. This model of the daily life of the students is the answer to the various problems that plague the Indonesian nation today. The writing of this article uses descriptive analysis method. The data collected is the result of observations, interviews and documentation which is then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the santri in the pesantren have a number of lifestyles that can be ideal models for the life of the Indonesian nation. The attitude results from the educational process include simplicity, mutual help, ukhuwah Islamiyah, protected from the damage of illegal drugs and advances in information technology, mutual respect and so on. This santri lifestyle is expected to be an ideal model for the attitude of the younger generation of Indonesia.

Abstract

After the determination of the Covid-19 virus as a pandemic, the education system began to look for an innovation for the process of teaching and learning activities. Moreover, the Circular no. 4 of 2020 from the Minister of Education and culture who recommends that all activities in educational institutions must keep a distance and all material delivery will be delivered at their respective homes. This prompted researchers to examine the role of teachers in the learning process during the pandemic at SD Negeri 112268 Gunung Lonceng. The research method uses a qualitative approach by conducting interviews with classroom teachers with a predetermined sample. It turns out that in practice the supporting and inhibiting factors greatly affect online learning (in the network) but are no less important than the role of the teacher. Without a classroom teacher, the learning process will not run well. The role of the classroom teacher is very influential on the educational process at the elementary level. The role of the classroom teacher is very dominant as a motivator, administrator and evaluator. A teacher who has a duty as a classroom teacher must have professional competence so that an effective and efficient learning process can be created and can overcome student problems in learning.

Abstract

The process of transforming knowledge to students in learning there are several ways, one of which is using supporting media. Various supporting media will attract the attention of students. The learning process using media is still rarely carried out in the school environment, causing students to feel bored when studying and having an impact on student learning outcomes. Teachers as educators should think about varied media to increase students' interest in participating in learning. One of the interesting media to use in learning is Pop Up Book media. This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes through the media Pop Up Book. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were 16 students of class VA MIN 4 Aceh Besar. Data collection is done by observation and tests. This observation is used to determine the ability of teachers and students in learning, the data is analyzed by the percentage formula. The result of the research is that the teacher's activity increased from (69.5%) in the first cycle and in the second cycle to (96%). The activity of students increased from (66.3%) in the first cycle and in the second cycle to (87.5%). And the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle (25%) and in the second cycle increased to (87.5%). Thus, increasing student learning outcomes by using Pop Up Book media can improve student learning outcomes in thematic learning.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate non-formal education programs at Rumoh Baca Hasan-Savvas in Kota Lhokseumawe because in general, the community reading park is difficult to find in Aceh. This study was conducted to find out how the evaluation of non-formal education program on Rumoh Baca Hasan-Savvas in the evaluation of Context, Input, Process, and Product?. The type of this research is qualitative evaluation research, with phenomenological approach of field study. The sample in this study was the head of the Rumoh Baca Hasan-Savvas institute, the person in charge of the program and the students who were taken at random. Data were collected by observation, interview and documentation. The data collected is analyzed by organizing the data, spelling it into units, synthesizing, arranging into patterns, choosing what is important and learning, and making conclusions. The results of this study indicate that in the evaluation of the context: the goal in eradicating illiteracy and marginalization and the context of the program has been implemented fairly well. In the input evaluation: the age level, the area of residence and the background of the learners vary according to the initial provision of the program, the staff education background on Rumoh Baca Hasan-Savvas 90% is S2, in general the teaching staff has experience in the field so as to provide good service to the participants though still short of teachers, donors who help the implementation of the program in Rumoh Baca Hasan-Savvas come from domestic and abroad but still still need other funding for the future. In Process Evaluation: student recruitment process, program management strategy, learning strategy has been done well enough, schedule of program implementation either literacy activity or creative class have been given to every learner but sometimes still hampered on availability of books for literacy activities as well as materials standard for the creation class, the person in charge of the program is appropriate because it is appointed directly by the head of the institution based on the mature consideration. In Product Evaluation: improved achievements and behavioral changes are increasingly for the better.

Abstract

The use of media and learning methods is the right solution for basic education teachers to develop students' skills. The media most likely to be applied in schools is the use of audio media. The research objective was to determine the benefits of audio-visual media in learning the speaking skills of low-grade students (Elementary School). This type of research uses qualitative research with literature review methods. The library selection technique is based on audiovisual media keywords on speaking skills. The literature comes from accredited national journals on Google Scholar with a publication limit of the last 10 years. The literature study technique uses a synthetic matrix based on reference sources, types of samples, methods, interventions, and findings. The results obtained in this study are as many as 12 journals about audio-visual learning media. The conclusion of this study is that it is found that audio-visual media that can be applied in the learning process include the audiobilingual method assisted by wayang media, the VAKS method (Visual, auditors, kinesthetic, suggestopedia), role playing learning using audio-visual media, the re-reading method - said with the aid of a tape recorder, learning model SAVI (Somatis Auditory Visual Intellectual), learning using film media, learning retelling methods using audio-visual media.

Abstract

In finding the problem of jurispruding learning in class III-1 MIN 20 Aceh Besar and found that jurispruded teachers have not developed much learning model in teaching. Teachers use lecture methods, Q&A, discussions, have not used learning models, so students are less instrumental and motivated in learning. This learning condition causes students to be less enthusiastic about taking lessons, at the time of learning students sit more, listen, take notes and work on exercise problems. The author tries to apply a learning model that is considered suitable to activate students and will get the completion of student learning, namely the make a match model. The implementation of this make a match model by way of students looking for a pair of problem cards that match the answer card held by the student. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the completion of student learning in grades II-1 MIN 20 Aceh Besar in jurispruded subjects increased from a value of 71.42 (cycle I) to 92.85 (cycle II). Teacher activity increased from a grade of 90.71 (cycle I) to 94.44 (cycle II). Student activity also increased from a grade of 83.33 (cycle I) to 91.66 (cycle II). Thus there is an increase in the completion of student learning through the application of make a match model in jurispruding subjects in grades III-1 MIN 20 Aceh Besar.

Abstract

Discipline is a student's behavior that is formed through the process of a set of habits that show the values of obedience, obedience, order and order based on norm values. Students who have discipline will show obedience and regularity to their role as a student, namely students in a directed and orderly manner. This research was conducted at Ibnu Khaldun Islamic Middle School in Banda Aceh against the background of the problem of lack of students in managing time, because Ibnu Khaldun Islamic Middle School is a boarding school (dayah), therefore almost all students experience personal problems, especially on discipline. This study aims to determine self-management techniques before and after effective group guidance services are provided to improve student discipline in Ibnu Khaldun Islamic Middle School Banda Aceh. Researchers use quantitative methods and use the type of pre-experimental research (pre-experimental) with One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. Data collection used is a Likert scale. Analysis techniques using the normality test and t-test. The population in this study were grade VII students of Ibnu Khaldun Islamic Middle School in Banda Aceh. There are 61 students with high, medium and low discipline, while the sample is 7 students representing class VII. The sample is chosen through purposive sampling with the categorization of students with the lowest level of discipline. From the results of this study it can be concluded that, the results of the study show effective self management techniques to improve the discipline of students in grade VII in Ibnu Khaldun Islamic Middle School Banda Aceh.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were (1) To determine the ability of teachers in implementing STAD type cooperative learning in Physics Lessons in class X-MIPA 1, (2) to increase student activity and (3) to improve student learning outcomes in class X-MIPA 1 SMAN 2 Banda Aceh on Physics Lessons in Circular Motion with the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model. The subjects of this study were students of class X-MIPA 1 with a total of 32 students. Data collection techniques in this study were through tests, observations, and questionnaires. Data collection tools used were observation sheets, test questions, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive qualitative. Data processing is done in a way; (a) to see the activities of teachers and students through observation sheets, processed using descriptive statistics with an average score, (b) data on student learning outcomes is processed by looking at the level of individual and classical completeness, (c) the results of the data from the questionnaire are processed using simple percentage formula. The results showed that the teacher's ability to manage learning in the first cycle was declared almost good (3.56) then increased in cycle II with good criteria (4.42), while student activity in the first cycle was good enough (3.19) then the second cycle was good criterion (4.05). Thus the learning process has increased significantly so that it affects student learning outcomes which are quite good, namely student learning outcomes at the beginning of observation of student learning completeness only 53% of 32 students meaning students who did not complete learning as much as 47% , then after being given action with cooperative learning type STAD in the first cycle students who completed learning increased to 68.75%, who had not yet completed it decreased to 32.25% and in the second cycle students who completed learning increased to 81.25% and those who did not complete reduced to 18.75%.

Abstract

Virtual learning is the only solution that can be implemented to replace the face-to-face learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. Several studies have proven that learning with virtual classes can affect the learning outcomes of elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the virtual classroom implemented for elementary school students. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a literature review method (library study). 9 national journals from previous research have been selected based on the criteria that they have been published on the Google Schoolar page in the range of 2020-2021 with a focus on problems regarding virtual classes for elementary school students. The analysis and review process uses a synthetic matrix. The results showed that virtual learning was effective for elementary school students when using learning applications that were mastered by each student, there were agreed learning procedures and rules, supervisory synergy between teachers and parents, and videos and teaching materials were distributed to each. each student. Therefore, it is necessary to have a virtual learning evaluation for elementary school students at least every Sunday, so that students' difficulties can be known by the teacher and immediately followed up.
