Abstract

This study aims to compare the results of instrument testing methods between applying classical test theory and item response theory using the Rasch model in question instruments on respiratory system material. This study employed descriptive quantitative methodology, with a sample involving 36 students. The analyzed instrument consisted of 40 multiple-choice questions on respiratory system material. Instrument analysis utilized classical test theory with Microsoft Excel and item response theory with Winstep Rasch ver 4.5.2.0. The data analysis from classical test theory and item response theory offers slightly different interpretations but is mutually complementary. Both classical test theory and item response theory may assess the validity, reliability, distractor effectiveness, difficulty level, and discriminating power of questions. Item response theory provides a comprehensive analysis of test results through the use of the Wright map as a bar which helps determine a student's ability about the difficulty level of the question. Scalogram is used to identify patterns in students’ responses, allowing for the detection of cheating and inaccuracies in answering questions. Additionally, DIF items are employed to identify item bias. This study concludes that any developed instrument must possess the characteristics that meet the requirements to measure competency effectively. The requirements for an instrument can be analyzed using item response theory with the Rasch model, which provides in-depth interpretation. Keywords: Classical test theory, item response theory, Rasch model, instrument

Abstract

In the digital and globalization era, education is not only required to produce students who are intellectually intelligent, but also have strong Islamic character and morals. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in shaping students' disciplined character through technology-based Akidah Akhlak learning and to identify strategies, obstacles, and the context of learning implementation in schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving 13 PAI teachers and 5 students at various levels of education from elementary/Islamic elementary school (SD/MI), junior high/Islamic junior high school (SMP/MTs), to senior high school (MA/SMA). Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews and participatory observation, while data analysis used the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions with source triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the use of technology, such as Islamic digital media, learning videos, interactive applications (Wordwall, Quizizz), and AI platforms have made a positive contribution to improving student discipline. Teachers implemented strategies such as project-based learning, digital role models, and the habituation of moral values. However, various obstacles have been identified, such as limited infrastructure, a lack of digital skills among teachers, and difficulties in monitoring and measuring moral values in the digital environment. Therefore, teacher training, improved facilities, and an integrative approach that combines technology with Islamic values are needed to realize effective and contextual character education. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of parents in strengthening children's moral education in the digital era and identify the challenges faced in the process. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and questionnaires to teachers and parents in the elementary school environment. The results of the study show that the role of parents is still not optimal in accompanying children, especially related to the use of digital technology which increasingly dominates children's daily lives. The three main problems found are the low digital literacy of parents, lack of communication and emotional involvement with children, and lack of supervision of digital content consumed by children. As a result, children experience a decline in moral values such as good manners, empathy, and self-control. This research emphasizes the importance of synergy between families, schools, and communities in creating a supportive environment. Keywords: Digital age, Moral education, The role of parents
