Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to know how to develop cognitive assessment instruments in the thematic learning of grade 4 elementary school (2) knowingthe valid levelof cognitive assessment instrument development in grade 4 primary school thematic learning based on classical analysis of problem items. (3) know the practicality of the development of cognitive assessment instruments in the thematic learning of grade 4 elementary school based on classical analysis of problem items. This RnD research goes through a preliminary study phase, product development and product trials. The subjects of this study were grade 4 teachers and students of SD Negeri 03 Ampel Boyolali. The results of this study provide the results that (1) how to develop cognitive assessment instruments is to determine a theme, KI, KD, GPA, learning objectives, measuring instruments, grids, question points, validation tests, practicality tests, and determine a final product (2) Item instruments in the form of PG 20 and description consists of 5 questions. Based on validtests conducted by experts, which include integrated thematic material experts got a score of 78 % with the criteria "high". From linguists get a score of 90.9 % with a "very high" criteria. And from the assessment experts get a score of 78.5 % with the criteria "high". 3) The development of cognitive assessment instruments in integrated thematic learning of 4SD classes through practicality tests obtained 84% teacher response results with "high" criteria. From the response of the questionnaire students with a total of 11 children scored 89.2 % with the criteria "high". Of all the percentage results of the development of cognitive assessment instruments in integrated thematic learning deserves to be used as an evaluation of grade 4 learning on the theme of 6 ideals sub-theme 1 me and my ideals.

Abstract

At the end of 2019, the world was shocked by the emergence of a deadly virus; (Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID 19). Since its emergence, the Indonesian government issued a policy set out in Government Regulation Number 21 of 2020 concerning Large Scale Social Restrictions. One of the policies is to stop learning activities at school, that is replaced by online learning at home. This regulation has been stated in the Ministry of Education and Culture Circular Letter number 15 of 2020; "the aim of implementing learning at home is to ensure the fulfillment of students' rights to get educational services during the Covid 19”. The This study, therefore, aimed to figure out the effectiveness of learning at the homes of elementary school students in the city of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar during the Covid 19 pandemic and to analyze the respond of students’ elementary school parents toward the learning process conducted at home during the Covid 19 disease. This study is a qualitative approach using a survey method. The results of this study indicate that during online learning, teachers use the WhatsApp application more for learning, and less do video conferencing with students, however, some teachers still accompany students to learn online and also provide clear work instructions to students. Another result found that teachers experienced many obstacles, such as unstable internet networks, and th parents who did not understand children's learning materials, and more than 80% of elementary school teachers in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar cities did not agree with the online learning process, due to the online learning more effective to be applied in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out a portrayal of PAI teacher’s strategies in improving students’ religiosity at SDN 08 of Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu. This study applied a qualitative approach, and a PAI teacher and a school principal were engaged as the key informants. Data were gathered using observation and interview techniques, and the data were analyzed using the Miles’ et al theory comprising data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study concluded that PAI teacher’s strategies at SDN 08 of Rejang Lebong in improving students’ religiosity extended to: 1. Convincing their students to things as needed by using the method of giving advice; 2. Giving guidance by encouraging students to understand and practice Islamic teachings properly by applying the methods of exemplification, habituation, punishment, gifts and attention; 3. Encouraging students to understand and practice Faith, Islam, and Ihsan with actualization and application in daily life by implementing the methods of habituation, exemplification, and attention.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were (1) To determine the ability of teachers in implementing STAD type cooperative learning in Physics Lessons in class X-MIPA 1, (2) to increase student activity and (3) to improve student learning outcomes in class X-MIPA 1 SMAN 2 Banda Aceh on Physics Lessons in Circular Motion with the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model. The subjects of this study were students of class X-MIPA 1 with a total of 32 students. Data collection techniques in this study were through tests, observations, and questionnaires. Data collection tools used were observation sheets, test questions, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive qualitative. Data processing is done in a way; (a) to see the activities of teachers and students through observation sheets, processed using descriptive statistics with an average score, (b) data on student learning outcomes is processed by looking at the level of individual and classical completeness, (c) the results of the data from the questionnaire are processed using simple percentage formula. The results showed that the teacher's ability to manage learning in the first cycle was declared almost good (3.56) then increased in cycle II with good criteria (4.42), while student activity in the first cycle was good enough (3.19) then the second cycle was good criterion (4.05). Thus the learning process has increased significantly so that it affects student learning outcomes which are quite good, namely student learning outcomes at the beginning of observation of student learning completeness only 53% of 32 students meaning students who did not complete learning as much as 47% , then after being given action with cooperative learning type STAD in the first cycle students who completed learning increased to 68.75%, who had not yet completed it decreased to 32.25% and in the second cycle students who completed learning increased to 81.25% and those who did not complete reduced to 18.75%.

Abstract

School culture is the hallmark, character or character and image of the school. Schools as the main indicator to direct the educational output process that is oriented towards the creation of a good quality learning process, in summary this study aims to provide an overview of the climatic conditions and school culture that affect the quality of the learning process and this researcher tries to examine these conditions by conducting research using ex-post facto quantitative method with prerequisite test and ANOVA test which shows the result of the ANOVA test is 0.000. The results of this study note that the significance of 0.000> 0.05, it can be concluded that school culture has a significant effect on the quality of the learning process.

Abstract

All sectors of human life are currently faced with the spread of Covid-19, and it also has an impact on the world of education. Universities at this time cannot carry out the teaching and learning process as usual face-to-face, but must carry out distance lectures or what is also known as online learning. This study aims to determine the perceptions of lecturers at the Takengon State Islamic Institute of the quality of student learning during the Covid-19 period, so that it can be an evaluation for lecturers and students in carrying out the teaching and learning process in the future when carrying out the learning process, so this research becomes a reference on which side. This study used a qualitative approach with a survey method by sending a questionnaire instrument via googleform to lecturers in the Takengon State Islamic Institute, then analyzed using descriptive techniques to analyze qualitative data. It can be concluded that in general, from the 12 question items that have been asked, there are various opinions given by respondents. The results obtained as a whole indicate that the lecturers' satisfaction with students is sufficient. However, whatever the results are now, this is a picture of the services that have been provided, and God willing, in the future there will be an improvement and progress to build the best service, especially at IAIN Takengon.

Abstract

Anti-corruption education has become a serious concern of the government. The Indonesian government is trying to include anti-corruption education in the higher education curriculum. The education will be included in the higher education curriculum by considering the curriculum content in each university. This needs discussions and opinions to ascertain the position of anti-corruption education in the curriculum. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the urgency of anti-corruption education into the curriculum of Islamic higher education. This study aims to determine the opinion of PGMI lecturers about the urgency of anti-corruption education into the Islamic higher education curriculum, especially PGMI. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique used was distributing questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis. The instruments used were questionnaire sheets, interview lists, and documents. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, namely: data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research data, it was found that the PGMI FTK lecturers of UIN Ar-Raniry had high attention and gave a positive response to the urgency of anti-corruption education into the curriculum of Islamic higher education. Furthermore, it is also known that the dominant respondents (as many as 58%) stated that anti-corruption education is necessary or urgent to be included in the curriculum of Islamic higher education. Finally, the curriculum model suggested by the respondents is an integrated, a habituation, and an autonomous independent model to accommodate anti-corruption education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership and work motivation on employee performance mediated by work discipline at the Medan City Fire Department and Prevention Service. Quantitative associative methodology is used in this research. All employees of the Medan City Fire Prevention and Service Office became the population in this study. The sample used was 50 respondents. Questionnaires and interviews that have been tested for validity and reliability are the data collection techniques used. The data analysis used in this study were: (1) Analysis of the measurement model analysis (outer model), (2) Structural model analysis (inner model), and (3) Single test path analysis). The results showed that (1) the influence of leadership on employee performance was positive and significant with a value of 0.267, (2) the effect of work motivation on employee performance was positive and significant with a value of 0.259, (3) the influence of leadership on employee work discipline was positive and significant. with a value of 0.933, (4) the effect of work motivation on employee work discipline is positive and significant with a value of 0.027, (5) the effect of work discipline on employee performance is positive and significant with a value of 0.052, (6) the influence of leadership on employee performance through work discipline positively and significantly with a value of 0.048, meaning that work discipline acts as an intervening variable (mediator), and (7) the effect of work motivation on performance through work discipline is positive and significant with a value of 0.011 which means that work discipline acts as an intervening variable (mediator).

Abstract

Writing skills are the skills with the highest level of difficulty for learners compared to the other three skills. Writing activity is a form of manifestation of language skills and abilities that are most recently mastered by language learners after listening, speaking, and reading skills. The ability to write essays is an important and strategic skill for students. Through an essay it allows students to make a positive contribution to problems that occur in society, among others, by pouring out bright ideas as outlined in essay writing. Essays can also foster a critical and creative spirit in students without causing anarchist actions as is often the case among students when conveying aspirations to other parties. At the student level, critical thinking formation can be done by writing essays. Because by writing an essay, students will be asked to give their views on a problem. When they understand a problem well and are able to analyze it, they have given an idea or idea about a problem or issue that is being discussed. The student level is the level where they have matured in thinking and are able to properly absorb various issues or problem topics that exist around them. Newspaper mass media with a diverse scope of discussion and lies in its ability to present news and ideas about the development of society in general, which can affect modern life as it is today. In addition, newspapers are able to convey something at any time to their readers through educational newspapers, information and interpretations of several things, so that most of the community depends. Based on this, the newspaper mass media can be an alternative media in writing essays.
