Abstract

Penyesuaian diri ialah suatu usaha atau respon perilaku yang dilakukan individu untuk dapat diterima di lingkungan baru dengan mengikuti kebiasaan-kebiasaan yang disepakati dalam kelompok baru tersebut sehingga tercapai keselarasan antara individu dengan kelompok. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap tiga alumni penyandang disabilitas netra dari Fakultas Pendidikan dan Bahasa Unika Atma Jaya Jakarta dengan kesamaan  karakteristik yaitu penyandang disabelitas netra total. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menjabarkan secara rinci mengenai proses penyesuaian diri yang dilakukan oleh tiga alumni penyandang disabilitas netra sampai memperoleh gelar sarjana, yaitu subjek A, subjek M, dan subjek R. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan ialah observasi dengan catatan anekdot, dokumen, kuesioner, dan wawancara dengan pedoman terstandar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketiga subjek penelitian mampu melakukan proses penyesuaian diri dengan baik melalui cara yang berbeda-beda sesuai kondisi dirinya masing-masing. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh ialah individu penyandang disabilitas netra memiliki proses penyesuaian diri yang berbeda-beda tergantung dari waktu terjadinya ketunanetraan dan penerimaan serta perlakuan dari lingkungan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, disarankan agar penyandang disabilitas netra lain dapat belajar untuk mandiri dan melakukan konseling untuk memantapkan konsep diri dan mengembangkan potensi diri. Bagi lemabaga pendidikan, diharapkan dapat memberikan kesempatan yang sama kepada individu penyandang disabilitas netra dengan menekankan pada kemampuan potensi diri dibandingkan hambatan fisik.

Abstract

Penyesuaian akademik adalah kemampuan mahasiswa/i untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan kehidupan perkuliahannya dan mampu menyelesaikan masalah-masalah akademik dan mampu mencapai prestasi akademiknya. Regulasi diri adalah upaya individu untuk mengatur diri dalam suatu aktivitas dengan mengikutsertakan kemampuan pikiran, perasaan, dan perilaku. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat regulasi diri, penyesuaian akademik, dan hubungan antara kedua variabel. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling angkatan 2019 Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian korelasional. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba instrumen regulasi diri memiliki reliabilitas instrumen sebesar 0,914 dan instrumen penyesuaian akademik dengan reliabilitas instrumen 0,923. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara regulasi diri dan penyesuaian akademik. Variabel regulasi diri memberikan sumbangan sebesar 68% terhadap variabel penyesuaian akademik.

Abstract

Academic procrastination is the behavior of delaying in doing academic tasks. The behavior of delaying academic assignments by students is related to delays in starting or completing assignments, delays in collecting assignments, time gaps between plans and actions, and doing activities that are more fun than doing assignments. The purpose of this study was to find out in depth the behavior of academic procrastination carried out by a high school student of Saint Marie Joseph Kelapa Gading. This research is a qualitative research with the type of case study research. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations and filling sheets. The subject of this research is MC. The research showed that the procrastinating behavioral characteristic of MC is the delay in starting or completing the task at hand.

Abstract

Academic resilience is the ability of students to adapt to academic stress which includes components of emotion regulation, impulse control, optimism, empathy, problem-causing analysis, self-efficacy and reaching out. The purpose of this study was to describe the academic resilience of students in grades VII and VIII of Saint Andreas Junior High School for the academic year 2020/2021. The results showed that the academic resilience of students for the academic year 2020/2021 during distance learning was in the high category with a percentage of 64%. Component analysis shows that the highest component is the empathy component with a total score of 1,885 and the lowest component is the problem-causing analysis component with a total score of 1,670.

Abstract

Teacher psychological well-being is the level of teacher satisfaction regarding the experience of carrying out a role as a teacher including a sense of optimism, a sense of being able to control life and self-determination, environmental mastery and self-efficacy, growth and meaningful activities during distance learning in the covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the level of psychological well-being of teachers and to obtain information about the most dominant and less dominant components of psychological well-being experienced by teachers during distance learning. This type of research is descriptive research with a survey research design through a rating scale instrument. The subjects were 91 teachers. The results showed that most of the teachers had a high and very high level of psychological well-being. The most dominant components are components of environmental mastery and self-efficacy as well as components of growth and meaningful activities. While the less dominant component is the sense of being able to control life and self-determination and the component of optimism.

Abstract

Perception is received by an understanding of the stimulus by the sense organs and enters the brain. Types of perception include sense perception: sight, smell, taste, and sight. There are three factors that influence perception, namely factors: internal, external, and attention. Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) is a method used to assist the counselee in exploring themselves by performing guided imagery, accompanied by using classical musical instruments. The research objective was to determine the perceptions of students towards GIM in the art counseling course. This research is descriptive using an attitude scale instrument. The research subjects were 35 students of the Department of Guidance and Counseling class 2016 and 2017. It shows that students have a perception that is in a positive classification, namely 65.71%, which consists of 23 students from a total of 35 respondents.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence is an individual's ability to understand and feel the feelings of oneself and others which includes self-emotion recognition, emotional management, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Creative thinking ability is an individual's ability to find answers to problems appropriately and varied which has the characteristics of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and creative thinking skills of students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. The subjects of this study were all students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program class of 2019 and 2020. The research data was collected using a rating scale instrument. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and creative thinking ability with a correlation coefficient of 0.781. Emotional intelligence contributes 61% to the ability to think creatively.

Abstract

Academic stress is a condition of students who cannot face academic demands in the form of physical, task, role, and interpersonal demands during distance learning. The purpose of this study was to get an overview of the stress conditions of the 8th grade of Kolese Kanisius Junior High School Kanisius Jakarta. The subjects of this study were 168 students. This research is descriptive quantitative research. Research data were collected using an instrument in the form of a rating scale. The academic stress scale instrument consists of 80 valid items with a reliability of 0.966. The results showed that the level of stress in terms of the academic demands of 8th grade at Kanisius College Junior High School was in the sufficient category with a percentage of 49%. The physical demands component is in the last order with a percentage of 20.28%. The task demand component has the highest contribution which acts as a trigger for academic stress with a percentage of 38.86%.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning is the ability of individuals to carry out learning activities on their own initiative without help or coercion from others. Academic procrastination is the habit of students to delay in completing study assignments. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-regulated learning and academic procrastination of class XI students of Saint Christopher 1 Senior High School Jakarta. Data were collected using a rating scale instrument. Based on the test results of the instrument, it was found that the self-regulated learning instrument had 50 valid items from 55 items with the instrument reliability of 0.961; while the academic procrastination instrument has 30 valid items from 40 items with an instrument reliability of 0.935. The result of the correlation between the variables of self-regulated learning and academic procrastination was -0.384. These results indicate that there is a significant negative relationship between self-regulated learning and academic procrastination. This means that the higher the self-regulated learning, the lower the academic procrastination. Conversely, the lower the self-regulated learning, the higher the student's academic procrastination.
